Have Dominion Everywhere ( by Fenny West)

My will for you is that you have dominion 

Always, in any sphere of your influence wherever you go

Rise and be the beacon I have made you on planet earth.

Conquer any ‘giants’ that raise their heads.

Have them for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Gen1:26,28

28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that [a]moves on the earth.”

2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Col3:2-4,

10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. Col2:12

Dominion is your inheritance. It was God’s original intention before Adam fell and lost it to satan.

In Gen 1:26-28 He said: 26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over [a]all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

The devil then came in the form of a serpent and deceived Eve and that brought about the fall of man and then man lost the glory of God and mastery over everything God created, including the devil and his cohorts.

Adam delivered the Dominion To Satan

5 Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. 7 Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.”

However, through the coming, death, burial and resurrection, the full penalty for sin was settled and the glory and dominion were legally restored. Now, all those who are born again, new to make what is legal, vital in their lives. So, exercise your dominion in every sphere- your career, family, finances, health, business etc. Give no room to the enemy; put the enemy in His proper place- under your feet. Let the mind and will of God prevail in all you do and wherever you go.

Having dominion also requires having self -discipline, denying yourself, letting the reign and rule of God be evident in all that you do. It means allowing the Word of God to gain precedence in all you do. James told us,

6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:

“God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”

Humility Cures Worldliness

7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

James 4:6-7

Unless we are submitted to God, we cannot have dominion over satan or his cohorts.

The seven sons of Sceva found out when they wanted to cast out demons without being submitted Jesus Christ.

Miracles Glorify Christ

11 Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, 12 so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them. 13 Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, [a]“We [b]exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.” 14 Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so.

15 And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?”

16 Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, [c]overpowered them, and prevailed against [d]them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. 17 This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. 18 And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds. 19 Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted up the value of them, and it totaled fifty thousand pieces of silver. 20 So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed.

Acts19

Dominion is for those who are born again and submitted to God. Those who try to exercise dominion without being born again and submitted to God will find that not only will they not be able to exercise dominion but they also open themselves to demonic attack, as shown above. The seven sons of Sceva opened themselves to demonic attack and they were overpowered, disgraced and fled out of the house naked and wounded.

However, if you are born again, exercising dominion is God’s will for you and He is glorified when you exercise the dominion, rule and authority that He has bestowed on us.

9 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19

17 And these signs will follow those who [a]believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they[b] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:17-18

So, my friend, God says to you:

My will for you is that you have dominion 

Always, in any sphere of your influence;

Crossed Over Into Proliferation

By the grace of God, I have Crossed over Into Proliferation excellence, productivity galore, creativity and virtuosity to the glory of God.

I am Empowered and propelled by the Holy Spirit and there are no more limits, no more barriers. I break every limits and set new records, out-doing my past- I am unstoppable, indomitable, conquering left, right and centre. I am a champion of Zion

I am born of the seed of the Word of God, and a seed of Abraham. 

Only the best is good for God. Mediocrity is a thing of the past. God gave me His Best for me to give Him my best. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. He does exceeding abundantly,  far above what I can ask or think of; far beyond my wildest dreams according to the power at work within me.

I have abundance of grace for creativity ingenuity and virtuosity and innovation. I re-ignite my inventive genius by the power of the Holy Spirit like Bezalel. (Exodus 17:8-16). Witty household invention and products are mine All things are mine ( 1Cor3:21). I see solutions to problems. I unravel riddles and dissolve doubts. I am a solution centre.  Creation shall see the manifestation of a son of God. I shine as light to my world. I am a city that cannot be hidden. I am a salt of the earth, giving godly and goodly flavour to all around me. I ooze the aroma of my Maker and my God because I have His DNA, a partaker of the divine nature (I hail from above and as He is so am I in this world. ( !John5:17,2 Pet1:3-4, Matt5:13-16).

More than a conqueror I am, overcoming every barrier or obstacles (I leap over every wall and move every mountain, scale every hurdle. All things work together for my good.  The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places and I have a goodly heritage. God is working in me, both to will and to do according to His good pleasure.  I am the masterpiece and workmanship and poem of God created for good works.  I manifest the goodness and freshness, presence and glory of God wherever I go. (Rom8:28,37 Eph2:10, Phil2:13,Ps16:11). 

I m forever God-inside minded. I have the mind of Christ. Whatsoever is true, pure, admirable, possible, just, honourable, excellence, virtuous, of good report, praise-worthy, kind, glorious, resplendent I think on such things. I see, not as man sees but as God sees. I see through His eyes. I see glory, possibility, dominion, mastery in everything I do and wherever I go. I decree and it is established.  I say what God said and it comes into being. When they say there is a casting down, I am saying there is a lifting up. (Philippians4:8, Job 22:29 1Cor 2:16)

If God be for me, who can be against me? In every situation I am more than a conqueror.

Neither death nor life, nor principalities nor powers, nor angels, nor famine, nor nakedness nor distress,  nor tribulation nor peril nor sword shall be able to separate me from the love of God in Christ Jesus.  God loves me will an everlasting liquid love. His mind is full of me and He lives in me, works in me to work through me.( Rom.8:31, 37-39

Lord, I ascribe to You glory, sovereignty, honour, majesty, dominion, God and Lord Over All.

You  reign supreme over Governments and galaxies.  You’re the Monarch of the Universe and reign supreme from everlasting to everlasting. You are faithful and just and true, the Great God of glory,  beautiful, wonderful, powerful and glorious in all Your ways. I praise You with every fibre of my being because You deserve it All.

The Reign of Kings

Is for the here and Now 

And NOT by and by

Or pie in the sky. 

It’s for those 

Who know their God. 

Who do great exploits

Who put Satan in his proper place-

Under their feet;

They know no defeat. 

It’s Taking the bull

By the horn, through the Son. 

They Decree to stand. 

Their Word is power

Their wish is a command, 

Commanding the heights, 

Having dominion

Taking charge

Multiplying, increasing

In leaps and bounds.

Reigning in Life

Reigning in Life-

Yes, in this life, 

With the Word of Life, 

Is your endowment

Your entitlement 

And it’s for empowerment. 

Using the abundance of grace

Wherever you go-in any place

To show forth the praises of the King

And glorifying Him in everything 

Is what He always requires; 

This is His cardinal desire. 

So let nothing or no one quench your fire. 

Shake off the sackcloth, get out of the mire

Take the Holy Ghost mantle and reign. 

Reign when it shines, and reign when it rains. 

As a city on a hill, that cannot be hidden, reign. 

Know that the Greater One in-dwells you. 

He is in you to work for you and through you. 

Take away and debunk every limitation

Mount up to surmount every intimidation 

Rise up and defeat every opposition

Keep your focus regardless of distractions. 

You are more than a conqueror. 

Use the Holy Ghost power in store. 

Rise, Reign, and rule in Jesus’ Name. 

Know He has a Name above all names

And has called you to reign with Him. 

Fear no foe as you speak for Him

Go even where angels dread

Because He called you to be the head. 

17For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)Rom5:17

The Life of Dominion is Mine; 

And this is by divine designed. 

In Christ, I have been made victorious.

My life is programmed to be glorious. 

 

I go from one degree of glory to another.

I soar, ascend higher and higher, 

Irrespective of the ploys of the enemy. 

Nothing and no foe can stop my victory. 

 

I thank  God for this Supernatural life

His life in me has bestowed abundant life. 

The same Spirit that raised Christ Jesus, 

Works in me as a life-giving mighty force. 

 

I was born for greatness, signs, and wonders;

 to leave a unique legacy, reach beyond the stars. 

By the Spirit ‘s power, I am a problem-solver. 

I dare to step out of the boat and walk on water. 

 

Over every principality I have dominion. 

And over wicked spirits I have dominion. 

I maintain my preeminence as one from Zion. 

God has ordained I reign here as a champion.

Born to Win You are born to win. Regardless of the wind of adversity and

 persecution or opposition.

(2Cor2:14, 1Cor15:57, Ro8:28,31,32,37-39, Jer1:4-9,10,12,17-19)

Affirm you prenatal calling

Remember that I knew you before you were formed in your mother’s belly. I knew you before your father knew your mother and they exchanged numbers and met. I had a plan and purpose, a dream and an assignment for you and separated you, formed you, wove you intricately for your destiny. I ordained who will win in the first race you ran with millions of others, even as a sperm. I knew you will win. I fashioned you to win because of the work I have for you. I put everything in you that you would ever need in seed form. You need to discover them and hone them into maturity; develop them into dexterity and excellence to match my mind and ultimate will for you. Deploy all that I have furnished you with to fulfil your vision, mission and purpose. Leave no stone unturned. Press on for the mark of the  prize of your high-calling in Christ. Aim to finish with finesse, distinction, scholarship and excellence. You have what it takes. The Holy Spirit is in you to give you an advantage. He is your Strengthener, Standby, Comforter, Teacher, Guide, Anointing that lifts burdens and destroys yokes. That is a word God has put in your mouth to speak to a particular people or ethnos he has assigned you to. You need to find them and speak to them directly. You are not called to everyone. There are those assigned to your boat- your rope holders and partners or iron to sharpen your iron.

Fear Not

Yes, some of the people you have been assigned to will be fearful. After all we are all fearfully and wonderfully made. But some are more fearful. However do not be afraid of their faces. God has not given you a Spirit of fear or timidity, but that of love power and sound mind and of boldness. The righteous are as bold as the lion. So do not underrate, belittle or demean yourself. Know who you are in Christ. Take sides with God. Say what He has said concerning you.

(2Tim1:7, Josh1:9, Ex12:13-14, Gen15:1, Prov28:1, 1John4:18, Isa41:10, -43:1-2 )

He said He knew you before you were formed in your mother’s belly. Say amen to that. He said He sanctified you, separated you, set you aside, equipped you, fitted you, and furnished you for your assignment, purpose and dream. Say amen to that. He said He ordained you a prophet to the nations-your particular nations your people. Say Amen to that. Don’t say “I can’t,” “I am inferior;” I am not able.” “I am weak.” Let the weak say I am strong. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. If God is for me, who can be against me?

Before you speak Therefore speak the word God has put in your mouth.  When you open your mouth to speak, minister or sing, let it be the word of God. Be the very oracles of God. Be the conduit of divinity, the channel of God, the river of God. Let His word, message wisdom and counsel flow through you effortlessly. For this to happen you must let His word dwell in you richly. You must be diligent to study His word. You must not let His word depart from your eyes and from your heart and from your mouth.

You must meditate in His word day and night and observe to do all of it and make your way prosperous and have good success. You must not only talk the talk but walk the talk. For this to happen you must consciously refuse to walk in the counsel of those who are ungodly or do not believe in God. You must refuse their influence or pressure to conform to their ways. You must refuse to seat in the sit of God mockers. Show them the light. Be the light. Remember: “The light shines in darkness but the darkness does not overcome it.” Remind yourself of this truth when you are tempted to compromise your standard.  Keep company with those who believe and accept the word of God and the word of life. Witness and be a witness to those who do not believe. Have compassion for them. Pray for them. Remember you were once like them, wallowing in the mire, sitting in darkness, imprisoned in the vomit of sin, relaxing in the vineyard of the devil and yet unaware, or oblivious, blind and bound.

 Prayer changes things.( Acts12:5, 1Thess5:17, James5:16-17, Luke18:1) Know Who You Are and Whose You Are Be the salt of the earth. Give flavour to your surrounding. Give life around you a meaning. Taste delicious when people taste you. Let them yearn for more of you and your God. Use that magnetism to introduce them to your Maker and your God. Remember: He loves them too. God so love the world that He gave the Son of His love that no one should perish, but that all should come to know Him and have eternal life. Be the city on a hill that cannot be hidden.  Make no apology for who you are

and for Whose you are. You are a child of the Most High God, the Creator of the universe, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, compassionate, gracious, sovereign, all- powerful, all-knowing, ever-present, longsuffering and abundant in goodness and in truth. Be proud of Him. Know you are His ambassador, His megaphone, His hands, mouth and feet.  See through His eyes. Go where He sends you. Reach out and touch others just like He touched you and transformed you. Speak for Him as He leads you. Be gentle and yet courageous and bold and strong. You have an assignment to build and plant. But before you build and plant, first things first. If you are to ensure that what you build stands the test of time; if it is to be a magnificent edifice to the glory of God, you must first remove, uproot, root out overthrow, throw down every rubble, impediment, rubbish and obstacles. This is God’s order and wisdom in any building venture or adventure. It is the natural thing to do a parallel truth.( Jer.1:10, Matt5:13-16) Regardless of opposition, persecution; passage of time or seeming delay, persevere. Be not moved. Be adamant. Have faith in God who said, “I watch over my word to perform it.” God’s word will not fall to the ground. Believe what He has told you, speak it to yourself when you feel discouraged or when the wind of adversity comes or when Goliaths stands tall, intimidating and  looks impregnable and formidable. You are more than a conqueror. Know who you are and whose you are like David. (1Sam17)

Invoke Your Covenant Rights

Know your covenant rights and privileges. Invoke them in the face of the taunts of Goliath. Rehearse and remind Goliath what God has done for you and with you in times past. Brag about your God. Prophesy what God will do to Goliath. See yourself standing on Goliath and cutting off his head even with his own sword. Know that greater is He that is you than the devil in Goliath or whoever opposes the will, plan and purpose of God in your life. Remember even those who are meant to know better and close to you can get it wrong sometimes. Peter was used to identify the Messiah, “Thou art the Christ…”  A moment later he rebuked Christ for talking and dramatizing the reason for His being-going to die on the cross. The enemy is subtle and can use people around us to dissuade us. Eliab was  used to discourage David on his Day with destiny. Joseph’s brothers hated his dream and wanted to snuff it out. But Joseph dreamed again. Nehemiah went home with a burden to rebuild the broken down wall of Jerusalem but Sanballat and Tobiah and others vehemently opposed him, maligned him, disdained him, ridiculed him, conspired against him and blackmailed instead of building with him. However God gave him a few men who had a heart to work, watch and pray. They banded together and successfully built the wall in 52 days. Little is much when God is in it. The weaker you are in the hands of God the stronger you are a weapon in His hands. So stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.

What You Need to Know

Know that you will be opposed, disdained, ridiculed, resisted and fought against. Let it not be a surprise even if it comes from close quarters. It is not new.  It happened to David. It happened to the disciples. It happened to Paul. It happened to Joseph. It happened to Nehemiah. It happened to Jeremiah. It happened to Jesus. So it will happen to you-not just once but many times. When it happens, remember:” Do not be afraid of their faces. They will fight against you but they will not be able to defeat you. I will watch over my Word to perform it, bring it to fruition and bring it to pass.

(Act4, 7, 8,9, Jer1:12,Gen37, 39, Neh5:1-3)

Be well-fortified Remember;” I have made you a Defenced City, an Iron Pillar and Brazen Wall… so stand strong in Me and in my mighty power. Put on the whole armour of God so as to stand in the evil day. And having done all stand. Put on ALL the armour of God: 1. The helmet of salvation 2. Breastplate of righteousness 3.Shoes of the Gospel 4.Belt of truth 5. Shield of faith 6. The Sword of the Spirit-the Word of God 7. With all Kinds of Prayer-praise, worship, faith, supplication intercession, thanksgiving, warfare, dedication etc(Eph6:10-18) You are born to win, born to overcome, born to fulfil purpose. Let nothing and no one stop you. Use your adversity as an advantage to do more than you can ask or think or dream of. Let every adversity work for you. Use every stumbling block as a stepping stone to a higher ground. Know that all things are working together for your good because you love God and you are the called according to purpose. (Jer29:11,Ro8:28,

Be Adamant Commit yourself to winning at all cost. Pay the price to obtain the prize. Discipline yourself and keep the goal in mind. Hit the bull’s eye rather than biting about the bush. Train yourself. Be proficient and be professional. Give your best. Be the best. Come out on top. That is your heritage. You have God’s DNA. Act like that. Be an imitator of Him. As He is so you are. He has given you all that pertain to life and godliness. He has given you His exceedingly great and precious promises that by these you should be a partaker of the divine nature through your knowledge of Him. Rise and shine. Step up to the plate.  Be what He has called you to be. You have no excuse for failure. Failure is not your portion. Good Success is your portion and heritage. You are the seed Abraham. The boundary lines have fallen in pleasant places for you. You have been given dominion. Exercise that dominion in all your undertaking and win always and everywhere.

Regardless of your current experience, if you are in Christ, know, that you know, that you know, that you are blessed and highly favoured. Therefore, take sides with God. Find out what He says about you and believe it and act on it and it shall be in the fullness of time, because God is not a man that He should lie. If you face an unusual kind of barrenness, then you are even a candidate for a great breakthrough, like Sarah and Abraham,  Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob and Rachel, Zacharias and Elizabeth, Seek the face of the Lord and He will show you the key to unlock your doors of opportunities and creativity that will set you apart for your breakthrough. Yes, you may have suffered losses, setbacks and even retrogression but you too can pursue , overtake and recover all in the name of Jesus, like David of old.

Sing, O barren One. More will be the children of the desolate than the married woman. Enlarge the place of your dwelling, Stretch out, spare not. Lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes, regardless of what you see, you are blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places, called to be the head and not the tail. You may be barren on the outward appearance but I call you Abraham- Father of many nations. I call those things which be not as though they are and they eventually become, because my word will not return to Me empty but accomplish that which I please.
