Living A Life of Insight ( by Fenny West)

Living the Life of Insight

It matters how you see as well as what you see and the place you look from and with which eyes you look. This is because what you see will shape your response, action or reaction.  Two people may be facing the same circumstance but one may see it as an opportunity, a harbinger of testimony, whereas another may see it as a demise, disadvantage, disaster or end of the road.

To live a life of insight, you must live from the inside; live the life of God; see from His eyes, believe what He says about you and walk in it, defying any natural circumstance that seem to negate it.

“I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; 18 who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” 19 And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. 20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. 22 And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.”Rom4:17-22

16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Gal.5:16

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be  carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Rom8:5-6

This is what gives glory to God- to see His offspring walking in the light of His word, not in the light of what they see or hear in the natural.

Seeing the Invisible

16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

2Cor4:16-18

Why? We hail from above. We were born of the word of God and we hail from above, because our old life has been supplanted by the New Life in Christ.

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.1John4:4

Old things have passed away and all things have become new.

We walk by faith and not by sight.

For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2Cor5:7

17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” Rom1:17

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2Cor5:17

We are strangers, travellers on this plane, we belong to Zion. We are not ordinary but God has added His “Extra” to us and made us extraordinary. We are supernatural because God has added His “Super” to our natural.

They do not know, nor do they understand;
They walk about in darkness;
All the foundations of the earth are unstable.

I said, “You are gods,
And all of you are children of the Most High. Ps82:5-6

What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him?
For You have made him a little lower than the angels,
And You have crowned him with glory and honor.

You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands;
You have put all things under his feet,

Ps8:4-6

The world around us may not understand it, but we do and we are not prepared to make any apology for it.

We belong to the Kingdom of God and we are here to extend that Kingdom and reign through Christ as kings-priests.

16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. John17:16

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 1Pet2:9

Do Not Love the World

15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

1John2:15-17

God’s Word is our food and His Spirit is our Guide, Intercessor, Helper, Comforter, Advocate, Teacher and  Reveals things to come to us as well as reminding us of the scriptures.

But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”Matt.4:4

13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. John 16:13

He also gives us an advantage and cutting edge in life as long as He is acknowledged.

Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. John16:7

To live a life of insight, you must know who you are in Christ, Whose you are and what you have in Him and live in a way to make these truths a reality in your life.

26 the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. 27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Col.1:26-27

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Col3:1-4

28 for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ Acts17:28

We were crucified with Him, buried with Him and raised with Him and now seated with Him, far above principalities and powers and thrones and names not only oin this world but also in the one to come.

20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Gal2:20

We are blessed with every spiritual blessing, Chosen of Him, Predestined for His plans and purposes and we are not only accepted but celebrated. This is the mentality that He wants us to walk in.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He [a]made us accepted in the Beloved.

We have Redemption and wisdom In Him

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, Eph1:7-9

We are Abraham’s seed

29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. Gal3:29

We Are New Creation, Reconciled- no longer enemies. We have a ministry of Reconciliation and we are His ambassadors and are the righteousness of God.

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not [a]imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.2 Cor5:18-21
