Finish Your Assignment ( By Fenny West)

Child of God and saint of the Most -High God, know beyond doubt that you are born with a purpose, an assignment, a reason for being. Do you know what it is? And are you fulfilling it?

Jesus knew why He said “For this purpose I was born.” The sin of man has come to save that which was lost. He came to deliver those who were dead in sin, hopeless, sitting in the darkness and when He died, He made an atonement for everyone. He paid the price- the full price.

Therefore Pilate said to Him, “So You are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say correctly that I am a king. For this purpose I have been born, and for this I have come into the world: to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to My voice.” NASB

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
    because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free, Luke4:18

Now anyone who accepts the finished work on calvary’s cross, crosses over from damnation into salvation and reconciliation with God.

Similarly, you and I were born for a purpose, just like everything created has a purpose.

Born for His Praise

In 1Peter 2:9 we were told:But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

We Were Created for Good Works

10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Eph2:10

We are Ambassadors

18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 2Cor5:18

We were called to be co-workers with God

For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.1 Cor3:9

Apart from these general purposes of Christians, each believer has a particular assignment that they were created and equipped to fulfil. Unless you seek God’s face you will not know what it is.

Paul sought God for his unique purpose and was not disappointed.

17 I did not go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was, but I went into Arabia. Later I returned to Damascus. Gal1:17

He fulfilled it and was able to say at the end of his assignment:

For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing 2Tim4:6-8

When David had fulfilled his assignment, he departed. That is what should be said of you and I.

For David, after he had served God’s will and purpose and counsel in his own generation, fell asleep [in death] and was buried among his forefathers, and he did see corruption and undergo putrefaction and dissolution [of the grave]. AMPC

So, my friend, find your purpose, develop that purpose and deploy it and finish your assignment.

Rise And Soar Like An Eagle ( by Fenny West)

But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint. Isa40:31

The eagle is the King of the skies just like the lion is the king of the jungle. And you are a king and priest on earth, called to reign in this life.

17 For if by the one man’s [a]offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) Rom5:17

Know that as a believer you are born of the Word of God which the truth, and so you are born of God which is powerful, infallible and is the reality of life.

23 having been born again, not of [a]corruptible seed but [b]incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides [c]forever, 1Pet1:23

We are to walk and talk in our world just like Jesus walked because as He is so are we in this world. He imparted His life into us and gave birth to us for His good pleasure. Therefore, wherever we go we should be His ambassadors, His mouthpieces, His representatives. The Words we speak should be His words. Just as Jesus said, “I do what my father does”, so it should be for us. His message is our message. When we appear, the world should see Him and not us. That is why as the light of the world, He also called us the light of the world, the salt of the earth a city on a hill, that cannot be hidden. 1John2:6, 1John5:11-12,2Cor5:18,20, Matt5:13-15

We are to reign in this life right now through the indwelling Spirit, because after His death and resurrection He came back to us in the person of the Holy Spirit. Christ in us the hope of glory. Rom5:17

We are to navigate the earthly terrain in the power of the Spirit. Just like the eagle is equipped to use adverse winds to soar to untold heights, so God has called us to use adverse winds to scale from height to height, glory to glory and strength to strength ( Ps 84:7). There is no situation that can conquer us. Jesus disarmed all principalities and powers for us and willed all He accomplished to us. (Col.2:15) All powers are therefore subject to us. They are under our feet.( Eph1:22) All things, no matter what they are, are working for our good ( Rom8:28). This is why we are not moved by adverse circumstances (1Cor15:57-58 2Cor4:8-9,16,18). We know that they are designed to lift us up to the next rung in the latter of glory; so we fight the good fight of faith. (1Tim6:12) We press on for the mark of the prize of the high calling in Christ (Phil3:10-14)

We are wise, as we navigate the terrains of the earth, to know when to retreat and wait on the Lord, just as the eagle waits and studies the wind current; waiting for the opportune moment to use the wind to its advantage and allow it to carry it to where it wants to be. This is when it soars and does not fly.

The Word of God, as we gaze upon it, meditate on it, we become more perceptive, discretional, insightful and sagacious and wise in our dealings in life, such that any decision we make takes us to realms of glory, excellence, creativity galore, success, productivity, accomplishment and advancement. We see where others do not see, see what they do not see and able to do things that are amazing, outstanding and incredible and breath-taking. Ps119:130, Josh1:8, 1Tim4:15

So, my friend, soar like an eagle; faint not in the day of adversity but use the adversity as university for upward mobility. Expect the Power of the Holy Spirit to surge through you and empower you to do valiantly. Expect Him to add His “super” to your natural and His “extra” to your ordinary. at such time. Because you know that all things are working together for your good. He is your advantage and you cannot be disadvantaged. He made you more than a conqueror and He is the Greater One who dwells within you, propelling you, powering you and lifting you over the hurdles, enabling to you to leap over walls and run through troops and making you a winner any day, anywhere in all situations.

Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Ps103:5

10-14 He found him out in the wilderness,
    in an empty, windswept wasteland.
He threw his arms around him, lavished attention on him,
guarding him as the apple of his eye.
He was like an eagle hovering over its nest,
    overshadowing its young,
Then spreading its wings, lifting them into the air,
    teaching them to fly.
God alone led him;
there was not a foreign god in sight.
God lifted him onto the hilltops,
so he could feast on the crops in the fields.
He fed him honey from the rock,
    oil from granite crags,
Curds of cattle and the milk of sheep,
the choice cuts of lambs and goats,
Fine Bashan rams, high-quality wheat,
and the blood of grapes: you drank good wine! Deut. 32:10-14

Rediscover Who You Are In Christ ( by Fenny West

Contend for the faith delivered to us. Fight the good fight of faith. Know that it is a good fight because we have already won. We know the end from when we started. Why? Jesus has won the war for us. All we face are battles and He leads us in triumphal procession. We go from victory to victory and from strength to strength.

Know this as a child of the Most High God. Know who you are and whose your are. Rediscover your God-given mandate to have dominion wherever you go (Gen1:26.28). Know that the world belongs to you. You are an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ (Rom8:17). Christ in you, your hope of glory (Col1:27-28). You are born to be the head and not the tail (Deut.28:13). Those who come against you in one way, will flee in seven ways (Deut28:7). You are more than a conqueror (Rom8:37). You are graced and highly favoured. All things are working together for your good. God is at work in you both to will and to do according to His good pleasure (Rom 8:28, Eph2:13). Angels are at your beck and call. Speak in consonance with God and they will be galvanised into action on your behalf ( Ps34:7, Ps91:11-12, Heb13:5,6)

Never take no for an answer. Stagnation is not your portion. No. Continually make progress, Go from glory to glory and from strength to strength. The path of the just shines brighter and brighter to the full light of day (Prov,4:18). All the promises of God are yes and amen In Christ Jesus (2Cor1:20). Know that for you, no failure is final. It is not over until you win. Press on, push on, bind the enemy and take what belongs to you. Dig your heels and fight until you win. The blood of the eternal covenant speaks better things than the blood of bulls and goats, than the blood of Abel. Thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph (2Cor2:14. Greater is He that is you than he that is in the world(1John4:4). Know always that you have overcome them(1John5:4). You already have. Now celebrate your victory! Glory to God!

Be Empowered (By Fenny West)

.

Those who know their God shall be strong and shall do great exploits (Dan.11:32b). Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power(Eph6:10). God told Joshua, “Have I not commanded you? “Be strong and be of good courage. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”(Josh1:9) Know that the presence of the Lord makes a great difference. You need to be conscious of His presence at all times, and acknowledge it. With this consciousness, fear will disappear. Boldness will become your coat. Faith will become your life-style (Ps27:1-2). You will walk by faith and not by sight (2Cor5:7). And by faith you will subdue kingdoms, put the armies of the enemy to flight. They will run helter-skelter in great stampede when they see you. You will walk with great confidence, and talk with audacity, You will speak as a king and you know that where the word of the king is there is power. (Eccle8:4)

Joshua and Caleb, despite seeing giants n the Promised Land they went to spy, were undaunted unlike the other 10 spies. Whilst they spread fear and disaster and doom with their words of doubts and fear, Caleb and Joshua quieted them and told them that the against will be bread to them. Why? They saw through the eyes of God. They had a godly perspective. This is how we need to live our lives- God-inside minded or God-with-us-minded. (Num.13:30, -14:8-9)

Yes, with this type of mind-set, you will fell any goliath that shows up in your life. the holy Spirit will mantle you and empower you to do great exploits (Acts1:8). You will be an enigma and wonder to your world. You will accomplish herculean tasks that will distinguish you as Daniel was in Babylon. It will distinguish you like David was that day he was greeted with the sight of macho Goliath. He saw Goliath as an uncircumcised Philistine, vulnerable because he had no covenant with God. And so, David was confident that he would bring Goliath down and cut off his head. He announced it before it happened and so it was. (1Sam17:26,32,45-47,48-51)

You too must be bold to face any goliaths in your life. Face them in the name of Jesus and bring them down and turn on the light in your nation, vision, family and community or church. Let the power of the Spirit enable you to bring down walls, accomplish herculean tasks, pioneer epochal ventures that distinguishes you from the crowd and sets you apart as a pace-maker, trend-setter and record-breaker. (Rom.8:11, Col2:15)

Live Abundant Life ( by Fenny West)

Live Abundant Life

Jesus paid a great price. And that, not for nothing. It was not only to pay for your sins but it was a means to give you the God-kind of life (Abundant life). Through His vicarious death, He bridged the gap between you and God and gave you fellowship with Father Son and the Holy Spirit.

This is why you have abundant life and He intends for you to live it to the full. Let nothing keep you from living this life to the full.  Know that nothing can separate you from His love. Know that all things are working together for you. Know that you are loved with a great love, an unfailing love and an everlasting love. Also know that you are the habitation of God and so a God-carrier. Wherever you go, He goes. How wonderful! Live with this consciousness and influence your world to the glory of God. Shine as light in the darkness. Taste as salt of the earth. Live as a burning and shining light and let your life be luminous.

Know that the Holy Spirit in you gives you the advantage, the cutting edge to be outstanding and excellent in all your endeavours. He adds the “Extra” to your “Ordinary” and the “Super” to your “Natural.”

Realise that He raised you from the dead along with the Lord Jesus Christ and sits you together with Him now in heavenly places, far above all principalities and powers and thrones and names.

Now, live Life abundant Life!

Follow Your Dreams( by Fenny West)

Acrostic Word

Follow Your Dreams

Follow your dreams, your purpose, your assignment and vision regardless of opposition, obstacles, barriers or impediment.

Everything is possible, if only you can dream about it

Boldly

Realise that you have God’s DNA. As He is so you are in this world, go where angels dread

Understand that you have the divine nature and

Apply who you are in Christ always

Relentlessly pursue your godly goals and you will be amazed where it will take you

Paul, writing to the Philippians, wrote: “I press toward the goal, for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Phil. 3:14 and in 2Peter1:3, it is written: As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us into glory and virtue. And in James 2:17 it is written: Thus also, faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

So, my friend, follow your dreams. Have Big Dreams! And go big time for your dreams. Pursue your dreams passionately, relentlessly.

When David saw Goliath, he saw a prize to be obtained. What the king give to one who brings him down. He knew that he had a God with Whom all things were possible. And so, whilst others were quaking in their boots, David was energised, enthused and invigorated for what God would do through him. He kept recalling what God had done in times past and saw the battle as God’s.

David saw in Goliath, a dream for his greatness, promotion and upliftment. The way you see your opposition and obstacles matters a great deal. I counsel you to see them as stepping stones to a higher ground. See them as ladders to your greatness. See them as opportunities for God to display His power and promote you. See them like Caleb and Joshua saw the giants- as bred.

David was sure he would bring Goliath down because he knew the God he served. He told Goliath:

“You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. 47 Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you into our hands.”

48 So it was, when the Philistine arose and came and drew near to meet David, that David hurried and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine. 49 Then David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone; and he slung it and struck the Philistine in his forehead, so that the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the earth. 50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. But there was no sword in the hand of David. 51 Therefore David ran and stood over the Philistine, took his sword and drew it out of its sheath and killed him, and cut off his head with it.

Yes, regardless of how macho Goliath was, David knew that with God all things were possible and he focused on the power of His God. And guess what, he brought Goliath down,

Notice that it was Goliath who had a sword, but David spoke of cutting off his head, and so it was. So say what you want to see and not what you see. Speak in line with God’s mind for you. Say what God says about you and enter your promised land. No foe can stop you. You are unconquerable, formidable and indomitable in Christ.  Through our God we shall do valiantly. You are more than a conqueror. (Rom8:37) If God be for you who can be against you. Possess your possession (Obad1:17).

And so you under the sound of my voice or reading this, pursue your dreams, follow your purpose and God will back you.

His word says, “We are sufficient in His sufficiency.” (2Cor.3:6) His word says: “All things are possible to those who believe. (Matt19:26) His word says, “Stand and see the salvation of the Lord. (Ex.14:13 ) His word says, “ If God be for us who can be against us? (Rom8:31)

Follow your dreams my friend and God will back you and take you to your Promised Land.
