They Think It’s All Over ( by Fenny West)

36 In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (in Greek her name is Dorcas); she was always doing good and helping the poor. 37 About that time she became sick and died, and her body was washed and placed in an upstairs room. 38 Lydda was near Joppa; so when the disciples heard that Peter was in Lydda, they sent two men to him and urged him, “Please come at once!”

39 Peter went with them, and when he arrived he was taken upstairs to the room. All the widows stood around him, crying and showing him the robes and other clothing that Dorcas had made while she was still with them.

40 Peter sent them all out of the room; then he got down on his knees and prayed. Turning toward the dead woman, he said, “Tabitha, get up.” She opened her eyes, and seeing Peter she sat up. 41 He took her by the hand and helped her to her feet. Then he called for the believers, especially the widows, and presented her to them alive. Acts9:35-41

God has the final word.

Lazarus got up!

Joseph got up!

Lazarus got up!

Tabitha got up!

The son of the widow of Nain got up!

You too will get up, in the name of Jesus.

Live Abundant Life ( by Fenny West)

Live Abundant Life

Jesus paid a great price. And that, not for nothing. It was not only to pay for your sins but it was a means to give you the God-kind of life (Abundant life). Through His vicarious death, He bridged the gap between you and God and gave you fellowship with Father Son and the Holy Spirit.

This is why you have abundant life and He intends for you to live it to the full. Let nothing keep you from living this life to the full.  Know that nothing can separate you from His love. Know that all things are working together for you. Know that you are loved with a great love, an unfailing love and an everlasting love. Also know that you are the habitation of God and so a God-carrier. Wherever you go, He goes. How wonderful! Live with this consciousness and influence your world to the glory of God. Shine as light in the darkness. Taste as salt of the earth. Live as a burning and shining light and let your life be luminous.

Know that the Holy Spirit in you gives you the advantage, the cutting edge to be outstanding and excellent in all your endeavours. He adds the “Extra” to your “Ordinary” and the “Super” to your “Natural.”

Realise that He raised you from the dead along with the Lord Jesus Christ and sits you together with Him now in heavenly places, far above all principalities and powers and thrones and names.

Now, live Life abundant Life!

Follow Your Dreams( by Fenny West)

Acrostic Word

Follow Your Dreams

Follow your dreams, your purpose, your assignment and vision regardless of opposition, obstacles, barriers or impediment.

Everything is possible, if only you can dream about it

Boldly

Realise that you have God’s DNA. As He is so you are in this world, go where angels dread

Understand that you have the divine nature and

Apply who you are in Christ always

Relentlessly pursue your godly goals and you will be amazed where it will take you

Paul, writing to the Philippians, wrote: “I press toward the goal, for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Phil. 3:14 and in 2Peter1:3, it is written: As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us into glory and virtue. And in James 2:17 it is written: Thus also, faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

So, my friend, follow your dreams. Have Big Dreams! And go big time for your dreams. Pursue your dreams passionately, relentlessly.

When David saw Goliath, he saw a prize to be obtained. What the king give to one who brings him down. He knew that he had a God with Whom all things were possible. And so, whilst others were quaking in their boots, David was energised, enthused and invigorated for what God would do through him. He kept recalling what God had done in times past and saw the battle as God’s.

David saw in Goliath, a dream for his greatness, promotion and upliftment. The way you see your opposition and obstacles matters a great deal. I counsel you to see them as stepping stones to a higher ground. See them as ladders to your greatness. See them as opportunities for God to display His power and promote you. See them like Caleb and Joshua saw the giants- as bred.

David was sure he would bring Goliath down because he knew the God he served. He told Goliath:

“You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. 47 Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you into our hands.”

48 So it was, when the Philistine arose and came and drew near to meet David, that David hurried and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine. 49 Then David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone; and he slung it and struck the Philistine in his forehead, so that the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the earth. 50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. But there was no sword in the hand of David. 51 Therefore David ran and stood over the Philistine, took his sword and drew it out of its sheath and killed him, and cut off his head with it.

Yes, regardless of how macho Goliath was, David knew that with God all things were possible and he focused on the power of His God. And guess what, he brought Goliath down,

Notice that it was Goliath who had a sword, but David spoke of cutting off his head, and so it was. So say what you want to see and not what you see. Speak in line with God’s mind for you. Say what God says about you and enter your promised land. No foe can stop you. You are unconquerable, formidable and indomitable in Christ.  Through our God we shall do valiantly. You are more than a conqueror. (Rom8:37) If God be for you who can be against you. Possess your possession (Obad1:17).

And so you under the sound of my voice or reading this, pursue your dreams, follow your purpose and God will back you.

His word says, “We are sufficient in His sufficiency.” (2Cor.3:6) His word says: “All things are possible to those who believe. (Matt19:26) His word says, “Stand and see the salvation of the Lord. (Ex.14:13 ) His word says, “ If God be for us who can be against us? (Rom8:31)

Follow your dreams my friend and God will back you and take you to your Promised Land.

Joy Unspeakable By (Fenny West)

Happiness depends on happenings. And so, people are elated when they win the lottery and when they are promoted. In times of adversities, disappointments they are downcast, hopeless and confused, in disarray and even commit suicide. That’s why you hear of a billionaire jumping from a three-storey building to commit suicide or a man killing his wife and children because she disappointed him. What an irony!

In contrast, joy is of the Lord Jesus and it comes from the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of God, the third person in Trinity, and the Creator of you and I. Accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savour is accompanied with some free gifts from God. And joy is one of them, Galatians 5:22. That was why Paul and Silas were singing after being beaten and thrown into the prison and sang, not minding what the ordeal they were passed through. That is a true joy unspeakable and full of glory.  (1Pet1:8-9)

They sang, not because they enjoyed what happened to them but because they knew whom they serve and Whom they believed and that all things worked together for their good. Yes, at the mid-night of their lives, when it was every dark in their lives, God shone light in their soul and  they sang praise to Him. And they sang loudly such that the other prisoners heard them. And I can imagine the song they sang:

“He set me free. He set me free. He broke the chains of prison for me…

And as they sang, God enjoyed the aroma of their songs and tapped his feet, and as He did, it sent an earthquake that rocked the foundation of that prison. The windows and doors were flung open and their chains fell off and they were set free. The prison warden heard the commotion in his bedroom and ran out in great hysteria. As he saw the prison doors open, he thought the prisoners had all escaped and he wanted to kill himself. Paul and Silas saw this and quickly stopped him, saying “Do not kill yourself. We are all here.”

The Warden was so surprised that the prisoners had an opportunity to escape yet they remained and wandered why. He was so overwhelmed that he fell on his feet before his prisoners to ask them: ”What must I do to be saved?

They replied: ” Believe on the Lord and you and your household shall be saved.” Paul would not be content for just one man being saved from what they went through and so he wanted the whole house to be saved. This was what happened. The whole people in the house were led to salvation and there was a great joy as the Warden brought a great spread and celebration and true joy.

Only Jesus can give you a song in your night and make you sing regardless of what you go through. He brings light out of darkness. He brings hope amidst hopelessness.

Today as you read this article, you have an opportunity to receive this joy unspeakable and full of glory. Just invite Jesus to take His rightful place in your heart and He will give you peace with God and the peace with God will usher the peace of God which transcends all understanding. From then on know that your life is in His hands and no weapon fashioned against you shall prosper. All things will work together for your good. Angels are on assignment on your behalf. Those who come against you in one way will flee in seven ways. God will fight for you and you will hold your peace.

that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Rom10:9-10

Therefore, having been justified by faith, [a]we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Rom5:1

God Will Do Wonders ( by Fenny West)

He is an awesome. powerful, exceedingly abundantly able God. Who specializes in doing wonders. If you can think it, He can exceed it. Eph3:20

All things are possible with Him.

Is it your ministry? He will do wonders if you put it in His hands and believe Him against all odds. Moses, thought it was over for him when 40 years had passed since he was self-exiled in Midian. His vision, vision and purpose, was as good as dead. But Jesus remains the resurrection and the life in all situations, including those that are dead. Even as He arrived at the house of Lazarus that had been dead for four days and buried, it was not late in His books. He commanded death to loosen its grip on him and called him back to life. This was in effect what He did to Moses. You know the story. Moses, at 80 was relaunched and God used him to lead about 6million Israelites out of the House of Bondage into a glorious liberty. Think of all the Wonders that God used Moses to accomplish and before he died, he remained strong, vibrant, vivacious and with a 20:20 vision.

And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated. Deut. 34:7

Is It your health?

If He is the resurrection and the life, what is healing to Him. There is no disease that He cannot cure. Healing Streams flow from Him and His throne of grace. Like the water in Ezekiel 47:1-12. Reach out and touch and be healed. Matt.9:18-26

  • That same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells within you and shall vitalize your mortal body. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and cannot be desecrated by disease. Arise from the bed of languishing. He has given to you all that pertain to life and godliness and sickness and disease are not part of the package. Romans 8:11 New King James Version 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies [ a]through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Rather He said:Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.  3John2,

It is written 38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. Acts 10 :38

Is it your finances?

He remains Jehovah Jireh and provides all that we need according to His riches in glory. Silver and gold belong to Him. The cattle on the thousand hills are His. He fed the 5000 with 5 loaves and 2 fish. When there was a need to pay money owed, he told his disciples to go and catch a fish and in its mouth was the fish.

Is it fruitfulness or productivity?

Peter and his fishing partners had toiled all night with abysmal results. They were highly dispirited and were washing their nets, then Jesus showed up, used their boat and told them what to do. They followed His instruction and make a catch of their life- a Wonder-catch!

And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord. Luke 5:5-8

He has called us to fruitfulness.

16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. John15:16

Is it the fruit of the womb?

The God of Abraham and Sarah is your God. Against hope, they believe in Hope and was not disappointed. God gave them Laughter (Isaac). God will soon give you your laughter.

The God of Hannah, Rebekah (Gen25:24-34), Elizabeth and Zakariah, Gen25:24-34 Manoah and wife (Judges13:2-25) and Rachel (Gen30:22-26) is your God. If He did it for them, why will He not do it for you? In fact, those who are challenged in this area are blessed with a wonder and movers and shakers in their generation- like Samuel, Jacob, Joseph, John the Baptist and Samson.

21 And the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken.

For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.

And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him.

And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.

And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me.

And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.

Gen.21:1-7

19 And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the Lord, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the Lord remembered her.

20 Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the Lord. 1Sam.1:19-20

24 And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb. Gen25:24

He is always the same and faithful. His mercies are knew every morning.

22 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

Lam:3:22-24
