Acts5:15-16

They think it’s all over for  you: This man showed up at his funeral

This man had a look alike in the same trade who was shot dead in an incident and was taken to the mortuary. Incidentally news reached the mother of the man you‘re looking at that her son was dead.  The mother was devastated and funeral arrangements were made and he showed up!

They think it’s all over for you? But they ain’t seen nothing yet.

SAO PAULO – A 41-year-old car washer shocked his family when he interrupted a funeral being held for him at his mother’s home in the town of Alagoinhas in northeastern Brazil, police said Tuesday.

Police inspector Roberto Lima said by telephone that on Sunday Jose Marcos Araujo identified a body at the city morgue as being that of his brother, Gilberto.

Lima said that Jose Marcos took the body to his mother’s home where a wake was held.

“The confusion started when news started circulating that a car washer had been shot dead,” Jose Marcos’ wife, Ana Paula, told the UOL Internet news portal. “Police called my husband and told him that his brother had been killed and his body was at the morgue.”

Lima said the confusion was “understandable.”

“The two men closely resembled each other and both worked as car washers,” Lima said adding that the man whose body was in the morgue was named Genivaldo Santos Gama. He said further information on Gama was not immediately available.

A few hours before the Monday burial “a friend of Gilberto’s saw him walking down the street and told him that his family was mourning him,” he said.

“So he went to his mother’s home to let everyone know he was very much alive.”

When Araujo showed up at his wake “some people fainted and others were so scared they ran away. It was a big shock,” family friend Maria Menezes told the G1 online news site.

Gilberto’s mother Marina Santana told reporters “I am overjoyed. What mother wouldn’t be after being told that her son is dead and then sees him alive.”

Your Dream Will Be Challenged

The woman in Shunem was barren

God gave her a pleasant surprise

Rewarded her generosity

At old age she became fruitful

Carried a baby like Sarah

But then came a death knell

It was sudden like a bad spell.

Her husband resign his faith

But she set her face like flint

And ran to the man of God.

He asked her, ‘Is it well?’

She answered, ‘It is well!’

‘You must come, I will not go.’

Prophet Elisha saw the fire

Etched clearly in her eyes.

He followed her and saw

Her son stone cold dead.

He stretched himself

On the boy, eye on eye

And mouth on mouth

and he became warm

Sneezed seven times and woke up.

The dead dream came back to life.

Why did the boy die?

Your guess is as good as mine.

Your dream will be challenged

Your dream will be opposed

Your dream will be sorely tried

And when it happens, remain resolute

Go to the Dream-Giver in faith

Know that it is not over until He says so

Do not throw in the towel  for the foe.

Roll Away the Stone!

Lazarus was sick to the core.

Death knocked on the door.

Jesus was quickly informed.

But he took His time to come.

When He arrived it was over

Lazarus was dead and gone.

Mary and Martha were cross

Disappointed, despondent.

He said: ‘Your brother shall rise again.

I am the Resurrection and the Life.’

Where have you laid him?’

He prayed: ’Father I thank You…

Because you have heard Me…’

They thought it was all over

But Jesus did not think so.

Roll away the stone.

Lazarus, come forth!

And Lazarus came forth

So has your dream died?

Is that dream from God?

If so take to Him in prayer.

There is no need to despair.

No Need to Despair

Widow of Nain met her waterloo

Her only son cruelly taken away

By the cold hand of sudden death.

She was in great distraught- all was gone!

Jesus was not far away and saw her.

Compassion flowed ceaseless out of Him.

Do not weep He consoled her;

He touched the funeral bier

Pallbearers stood still.

Young man, I say to you arise

And the man rose, came back to life.

So has your dream died?

Is that dream from God?

If so take to Him in prayer.

There is no need to despair

Luke7:11-15

Tabitha (Dorcas) abounding in good works

Fell ill and surprisingly was snatched by death

It came like a wicked thief in the night

So quickly it snuffed out the light.

Darkness fell as the curtain fell

Why it happened no one could tell.

Peter was not far from the scene

And they begged him to come

Showing him her handiwork

Crying, pleading, sobbing

Peter, put them out

to avoid doubt.

‘Tabitha, get up!’ He commanded

Her eyes were opened and she rose

And so were the drooping spirits raised.

Great joy greeted the house.

Elation emotion erupted

Dead dream had come alive!

Jesus came to save the sin-sick

Abandoned His seat in glory

To do the Father’s will

‘Here I come, send Me’ He said.

He came to His own but they disdained Him

They vilified Him and crucified Him

He was dead and buried, it seemed all over.

But on the third day He rose again

Defeating death just like He said.

He remains, the Resurrection and the Life

And holds the keys of death and Hades.

He has the final say about your dream

And about my dream and His will shall be done.

They think it’s all over for you? But they ain’t seen nothing yet.
