Anointed By the Holy Spirit ( by Fenny West)

Anointed and propelled

If you are baptized by the Holy Spirit, now that you are anointed and consecrated and led to show forth the power and glory of God. Jesus was anointed with the Holy Ghost and with power and He went about doing good, healing all those that were oppressed of the devil because God was with Him. Acts10:38 As He is, so are we in this world. You need to live with this consciousness.

17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.1John4:17

In Acts 8 we find Philip led of the Holy Spirit to abandoned a might revival in Samaria and led onto the a desert where he led the Ethiopian Eunuch to salvation and got him baptised before he was spirited away.

Powered by the Holy Spirit

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be [a]witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts1:8

The Holy Spirit comes with power. This was why after the disciples received the Holy Spirit, they were transformed and became firebrands in the hands of God. Imagine Peter on the Day of Pentecost in Acts2, preaching with passion and power and about 3000 souls were saved.

After Jesus had fasted for forty days and forty nights, He came back with the power of the Spirit. 14 Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region. Luke4:14

Revived by the Holy Spirit

The disciples were vitalized and rejuvenated by the Holy Spirit and they were on fire for God, preaching the gospel with fervour, passion and boldness, They were unstoppable and unconquerable and indomitable. The people around them took notice that they were different. In Thessalonica a mob instigated an uproar against them, saying they had “turned the world upside down.”

But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some brethren to the rulers of the city, crying out, “These who have turned the world upside down have come here too. Acts17:6

In Acts4:13 the disciples were so bold that they people took notice that they had been with Jesus.

Increased in might by the Holy Spirit

And because of the presence of the Holy Spirit there was revival in Jerusalem.

38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the [k]remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

A Vital Church Grows

40 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this [l]perverse generation.” 41 Then those who [gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. Acts 2:38-41

20 So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed. Acts 19:20

When the Holy Spirit comes, there is increase as it happened on the day of Pentecost.

Loved by the Holy Spirit

Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Rom.8:5

The love of God is experienced through the Holy Spirit.

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, Eph2:4

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom8:37-39

Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know [b]us, because it did not know Him.1John3:3
