Charge Ahead As Head ( by Fenny West)

As a son of God, co-worker with God, an ambassador of God, you need to be assured of what He has called you to do and to be.

Without a shadow of a doubt, you and I have been called to be the head and not the tail. We are God’s own chosen people, his treasured possession, peculiar people, called to show forth His glory and praises in this world.

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;1Pet2:9

We are His icons and beacons. And to fulfil what He has called us to, we must be led of the Holy Spirit who has been called to guide us into all truth. The Holy Spirit gives us the advantage and the cutting edge in whatever we do.  He shows us things to come and reminds us of what He has told us in times past.

Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.

13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come John16:7,13

Dominion is our mandate. This was God’s original dream for you and I before Adam fell and gave dominion to satan. Through Christ that status was restored to all who believe and have surrendered their lives to Him. To maintain your dominion, you must know that it is your inheritance.

26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over [a]all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Gen1:26.

Never consider yourself as one who has arrived but challenge yourself, stretch yourself, set ambitious goals. Know that you have a big God, so your vision must be big too. And know that if you can think it, God can and will surpass it.  So, daily to go the extra-mile for His name’s sake.  Tell yourself that there is more land that needs to be taken.
Now Joshua was old, advanced in years. And the Lord said to him: “You are old, advanced in years, and there remains very much land yet to be possessed. Joshua13:1

 Distinguish yourself like Daniel and His friends. They honoured God and God made them ten times better than their peers. Be like Joseph of old who was very diligent, excellent and highly reliable. Know that God is with you just as He was with Joseph and this is what made the difference.

Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom. Dan6:3

“Enlarge the place of your tent,
    stretch your tent curtains wide,
    do not hold back;
lengthen your cords,
    strengthen your stakes.
For you will spread out to the right and to the left;
    your descendants will dispossess nations
    and settle in their desolate cities. Isa54:2-3

I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses. Josh1:3

Press on for the mark of the prize of the high-calling in Christ in spite of obstacles or opposition or difficult terrains. Use the obstacles to leap into a higher and greater dimension. Press on until you finish and finish well to the glory of your Maker and your God.

Adopt the attitude and mentality of Paul who gave his all after his encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ and his conversion.

10 I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.

12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Phil3:10-14

Would it not be wonderful if you too at the end of your life can say like Paul:

Paul’s Valedictory

For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

So, my friend, charge ahead as the head, You were born to be the head and not the tail.  You were born to win. Be a master over circumstances. Use the authority and dominion that God has bestowed on you and win every battle, leap over every wall and run through any troop. Do not allow the enemy to short-change you. Outwit him whenever and wherever he shows up by submitting to God. Be led of the Holy Spirit. Be so intimate with Him as to receive insights and advance revelation inside knowledge of what your adversary may be planning or doing. Receive divine winning strategies and implement them and surge ahead as head always.
