All Things Are Yours ( by Fenny West)

All good and perfect gifts come from God (James1:17) and He intends for us to enjoy them. It is He who daily loads us with benefits to enjoy (Ps68:19). The Psalmist wrote:

103 Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Now look at this wonderful passage of scripture where we are enjoined not to forgot the benefits of God. He enumerates the benefits:

  1. Forgiveness of all Sins
  2. Healing from all diseases
  3. Redemption of life destined and doomed to destruction
  4. Crowning with Love and compassion
  5. Super-abundant supplies or provision
  6. Renewal of youth like the eagle

*”Forgiveness of sins.”

 This is the greatest of the benefits of God when you know that your sins have been forgiven or remitted and you have peace with God. There is a god-sized hole in everyone and unless God fills that hole, there will be a great void and emptiness and none-fulfilment. You will be like a fish taken out of water, and unless God takes His rightful place, there will be no peace with God. Unless God takes His place, the person is dead in sin and in the spirit. They are separated from their Maker. They are dead men/ women walking.

This is not a call to religion but a relationship with the living God. This is why everyone needs to be born again of the word of God and by the Spirit of God.

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” John3:3,5,8

How Do You Get Born Again? It is as simple as ABC

Accept that you are a sinner, separated from God by sin and cannot save yourself;

Believe that Only Jesus can save you- not your works of righteousness

Confess Jesus as Lord of your life; invite Him to come and take His rightful place in your heart.

Use this scripture: Personalize it.

that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.Rom10:9-10

Lord God, I accept that I cannot save myself. Jesus died for me; paid the price for my sins. And today I make Him the Lord of my life. Lord Jesus, come into my heart and take your rightful place. I belong to you from today. The old has gone and the new has come. I am born again. Thank you, Lord. In Jesus’ name Amen.

*”The next is that He heals you of all your diseases.

When Jesus died, He did not only take our sin away, but also our sickness. Notice what He came to do according to Luke4:18

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me [a]to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;

 Long ago, (about 800 years) before Jesus came, Isaiah wrote a prophecy about the purpose of the Son of God who was to come In Isa53:4-5

Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.

Peter referred to this when he wrote:

24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

So, salvation is yours and so is healing of your body.

Again, looking at this same passage from the Psalms, it also says, He redeem our lives from destruction.

We have an enemy called the devil, whose job description is to kill steal and destroy.

10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John10:10

But Jesus came to give us abundant life, the God-kind of life.  But to enjoy this life that cannot be destroyed, you need to be born again.

He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.1John3:8

Know that Jesus came to destroy all the works of the devil and He did it comprehensively.

15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. Col2:15

So, refuse to be cheated. All things are yours: salvation, healing, life free from destruction and deception, darkness and damnation

What more?

*”Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies”

Do you know that God loves you with and everlasting love? How comforting and reassuring! He loves you with a great love. He loves you like He loves Jesus.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

You are love and not just accepted but celebrated in Christ.

Eph1:3-6

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

He loves you with a great love.

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, Eph2:4

This love is unfailing, perfect, unconditional, pure and boundless.

21 Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours:

Everything Christ did on the cross was for you. This was why Paul wrote; in 1Cor3:19-21

19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their own craftiness”; 20 and again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.” 21 Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours:

*”Who satisfies your mouth with good things,”

Without a doubt, we have a God who satisfies our mouths with good things. This is in agreement with what we see in the Old Testament and the New Testament.

He made provision of a sacrificial lamb for Abraham when it was needed (Gen22:8). He also provided for Isaac in Gerar when there was a severe famine and Isaac obtained a 100- fold return. (Gen26:12) He made provision in Samaria when there was a severe famine and women were boiling their children and eating them. Overnight there was super-abundance (2Ki7:1-20). The disciples where lavishly supplied when they put the word to work and no one lacked (Acts4:34). Also, Jesus, knew the crowd who were following Him needed to eat some food so 5000 were fed as He turned five loaves and two fish into super abundance that fed them all and there was so much left over to fill 12 baskets. (John6:1-14)

Little wonder, Paul. wrote:

 19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

David wrote: The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not [a]want. Ps23:1

Blessed be the Lord,
Who daily loads us with benefits,
The God of our salvation! Sela Ps68:19

*“So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s”

When the eagle is getting old and its feathers are getting weak, it goes to a remote place where the old feathers are plucked off and it remains there until nee ones grow. It then returns with a new coat that is resilient for the second phase of its life.

Waiting on God does a similar renewal of youth like the eagle’s.

But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint. Isa40:31

Now these are just a few benefits highlighted in this Psalm which are true for this day. But there are many more which you can locate in the Word and appropriate in your life.

Refuse to be short-changed any longer. All things are yours in Christ. Begin to cash your coupons and vouchers and enjoy the life God has bestowed on you in Christ.

as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2Pet1:3-4
