Journey of Jesus

From Heaven to Cross

Was full of trials

Many denials

From the humble birth

To acceptance dearth

From good standing

To misunderstanding.

But He persevered

Great cruelty endured

To bring and secure

Sin’s solution; cure.

His body was scourged

Was falsely accused

To buy humankind

Because God was kind

He was made a curse

So that He could bless

All humanity

For eternity.

He was born to die

Just to bring us nigh

He stooped down so low

To let freedom flow.

Post crucifixion

Was resurrection

All for you and I

So we will not die.

The deal that was done

By God, Lord ,the Son

Is free but by choice

If you hear His Voice

Make Him your Choice Now!

Gal4:1-7

4      But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

5      to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. Gal4:4-5

The Reason For the Season ( by Fenny West)

The Reason For the Season

birth of Jesus2 birth of Jesus4 purpose jesus in Christ what have and are pray without ceasing

He Descended from the Heights

to Lift Us from the Depths

He laid aside His majesty

To change our story.

He stooped down so low

To free us from the foe;

To lift us up from the dung.

Despite all our wrong.

He emptied Himself

To make us one with Himself.

He took our pain

To give us a gain

Took from the devil, the reins

That we with Him will reign.

He drained His life.

To fill us with life.

He clothe us with His garment

Like a Groom full of commitment.

He brought us into His parlour

Because of His favour.

He washed us with His blood

To remove the stains from sin-mud.

He made us us worthy of his embrace.

All because of His great, super-abundant grace.

He interceded for us

To justify us.

He made us accepted in the beloved.

Because of His great love.

He took our place on the cross

So to the Father we can cross.

Today, if you hear His Voice

Make Him your prime choice.

Because He is the reason

For the season.

The Good News of Christmas ( by Rick Warren)

Dec 26, 2014

The Good News of Christmas
by Rick Warren

“There is only one God, and Christ Jesus is the only one who can bring us to God. Jesus was truly human, and he gave himself to rescue all of us.” (1 Timothy 2:5 CEV)

Christmas is all about good news. But it’s not the good news of special gifts. It’s not the good news of a big meal. It’s not even the good news of spending time with friends and family.

Christmas is about the Good News of God’s love.

The Bible says all of us are lost without God. We’re directionless. We’re without protection. Our potential eternal impact upon the world is unrealized. We’re without real joy. Our eternity in Heaven isn’t secure.

The Good News about Christmas is that God sent Jesus to seek and save the lost. The Bible says, “There is only one God, and Christ Jesus is the only one who can bring us to God. Jesus was truly human, and he gave himself to rescue all of us” (1 Timothy 2:5 CEV).

If you’ve ever spent time in church, you’ve likely heard the word “salvation” many times. But you may not know what it means. The word is like a diamond; you can look at it from many different angles.

  • Jesus came to rescue us. We can’t solve all of our problems on our own. Without Jesus, we’re trapped in the expectations of others. We’re trapped in living for the approval of our peers. We’re trapped in addictions. We’ve tried to change over and over again, but we don’t have the power needed to escape. Jesus came to give us that power.

  • Jesus came to recover us. We all long to recover parts of our lives that have been lost. Without Christ, we long to recover our strength, our confidence, our reputation, our innocence, and our relationship with God. Only Jesus can do that.

  • Jesus came to reconnect us. Many people think that God will scold them if they come back to him. But God isn’t mad at you. He’s mad about you. Jesus came to Earth on the first Christmas to reconcile us to God, to give us harmony with him again.

Jesus came to Earth to give us the gift of himself. Too many of us celebrate his birthday without accepting this free gift of salvation. It goes unwrapped year after year after year. That’s not smart! You were made by God and for God. Until you understand that, life will never make sense.

This Christmas, open up the most important present you’ve been given: a new relationship with God through Jesus.

Talk It Over

  • Which of the above facets of salvation has been the most important in your relationship with God? Why?
  • How can you “unwrap” God’s gift of Jesus this Christmas? In what ways can you tell others about this gift?
  • What can you do to better celebrate Jesus’ birthday?

God With Us ( by C.H. Spurgeon)

God With Us

Birth of Jesus1 birth of Jesus ushered God with us birth of Jesus2 birth of Jesus3 birth of Jesus4 birth of Jesus9

“Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”
Isaiah 7:14

Let us today go down to Bethlehem, and in company with wondering shepherds and adoring Magi, let us see him who was born King of the Jews, for we by faith can claim an interest in him, and can sing, “Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given.” Jesus is Jehovah incarnate, our Lord and our God, and yet our brother and friend; let us adore and admire. Let us notice at the very first glance his miraculous conception. It was a thing unheard of before, and unparalleled since, that a virgin should conceive and bear a Son. The first promise ran thus, “The seed of the woman,” not the offspring of the man. Since venturous woman led the way in the sin which brought forth Paradise lost, she, and she alone, ushers in the Regainer of Paradise. Our Saviour, although truly man, was as to his human nature the Holy One of God. Let us reverently bow before the holy Child whose innocence restores to manhood its ancient glory; and let us pray that he may be formed in us, the hope of glory. Fail not to note his humble parentage. His mother has been described simply as “a virgin,” not a princess, or prophetess, nor a matron of large estate. True the blood of kings ran in her veins; nor was her mind a weak and untaught one, for she could sing most sweetly a song of praise; but yet how humble her position, how poor the man to whom she stood affianced, and how miserable the accommodation afforded to the new-born King!

Immanuel, God with us in our nature, in our sorrow, in our lifework, in our punishment, in our grave, and now with us, or rather we with him, in resurrection, ascension, triumph, and Second Advent splendour.
