Supplanted, Not Supplemented (By Fenny West)

Supplanted, Not Supplemented (By Fenny West)

Supplanted, Not Supplemented;
With a New Life, not a New leaf.
New species, New Creature
Not made over, not improved.
The Old has gone and the New has come.

I was alien to God but now a friend of God
I was dead in sin but now alive to righteousness
I was a child of disobedience but now a child of obedience
I was an object of wrath but now an object of love
I was rejected but now accepted in the Beloved.
I was dead and stank like Lazarus but now resurrected with Zoe, the life of God –

the old life supplanted-not supplemented.
I was not just in darkness but darkness itself.
Now I am the Light of the world
A city on a hill that cannot be hidden
Now I am the salt if the earth
I was under a curse but now blessed with the blessing of Abraham,

blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places.
I am blessed to be a blessing, a Solution Centre.
I am healed to bring healing to my world.
I am saved to reach out to reconcile others. I am a man with a mission.

I have a purpose – driven life.

Now I have the life of God
Now I am a New Creation
Now I am a son of God
Now I am a citizen of heaven.
Now I am in this world
But I am not of this world.
When Jesus was crucified
I was crucified with Him
When He was buried
I was buried with Him
When He was raised
I was raised up with Him
And when was enthroned
I was enthroned with Him

I am now sitting with Him
Far above principalities and powers.
Above every throne, above every name.
I am reigning with Him
He is the Head
I am His body
I am His temple
I am His voice
His hands and feet.
I carry divinity in my humanity
I am a peculiar person
of the chosen generation
Of the royal priesthood.
I am born again
Born to reign
Born to praise.
Born to shine
Born to win
Born to bring glory
To the Lord of glory
As He is so am I in this world.

17           Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.2Cor5:17

20   I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Gal2:20

13   These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

1Joun5:13

17           Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.1John4:17

When Your Heart is in My Hands ( by Fenny West)

When Your Heart is in My Hands

When Your Heart is in the right place, you will go the right place, say the right things, associate with the right people and get the right result.

It does not mean life will be rosy or comfortable, or smooth-sailing. You will face opposition and some struggle, but they will be opportunities to see the power, sovereignty, beauty and presence of God.

We were created by Him and for Him. He gives us rest and fulfillment. Outside Him, we will be famished, restless like a fish out of a sea or like an eagle 🦅 in a cage. He loves us with an Everlasting love, unconditional love, Agape love.

Little wonder He said, “My Son, give me your heart.” Life is spiritual. God is a Spirit. We hail from His breath. But we wandered away from Him. Only He can satisfy, give us peace and restore us. Only the Prince of Peace can give us peace profound.

My son, give me your heart. My daughter, give me your heart. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone will hear My voice and open the door, I will come in and dine with him and he with Me. Let me into your heart. And I will give you a New Beginning, a New Start, a New  Song. The old will go and the new will come. You will pass from death to life. You will become a New Creation.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. And how wonderful if I am your treasure and your heart is in My hands! How glorious and victorious you will be if I am your treasure and pleasure and your heart is in My hands! How beautiful and fitting if you love me too and your heart is in My hands! YOU will be Unconquerable, indomitable, unquenchable. Besides, you will have life more abundant-the God-kind of life – Zoe. And the angels will have a party 🎉 and praise God for your bravery and noble choice. You can do it today, even right now!

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Rom10:9-10

19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matt6:19-21

This is the Day of Salvation ( C.H Spurgeon)

This is the day of Salvation

2 Samuel 2:26
Knowest thou not that it will be bitterness in the latter end?

If, O my reader! thou art merely a professor, and not a possessor of the faith that is in Christ Jesus, the following lines are a true ketch of thine end. You are a respectable attendant at a place of worship; you go because others go, not because your heart is right with God. This is your beginning.

I will suppose that for the next twenty or thirty years you will be spared to go on as you do now, professing religion by an outward attendance upon the means of grace, but having no heart in the matter. Tread softly, for I must show you the deathbed of such a one as yourself. Let us gaze upon him gently. A clammy sweat is on his brow, and he wakes up crying, “O God, it is hard to die. Did you send for my minister?” “Yes, he is coming.” The minister comes. “Sir, I fear that I am dying!” “Have you any hope?” “I cannot say that I have. I fear to stand before my God; oh! pray for me.”

The prayer is offered for him with sincere earnestness, and the way of salvation is for the ten-thousandth time put before him, but before he has grasped the rope, I see him sink. I may put my finger upon those cold eyelids, for they will never see anything here again. But where is the man, and where are the man’s true eyes? It is written, “In hell he lifted up his eyes, being in torment.”

Ah! why did he not lift up his eyes before? Because he was so accustomed to hear the gospel that his soul slept under it. Alas! if you should lift up your eyes there, how bitter will be your wailings. Let the Saviour’s own words reveal the woe: “Father Abraham, send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue, for I am tormented in this flame.” There is a frightful meaning in those words. May you never have to spell it out by the red light of Jehovah’s wrath!

Salvation: As Simple As ABC ( by Fenny West)

Salvation is as simple as A, B, C

It is not a product of what you do but what has been done on Calvary’s Cross.

Jesus paid the price for you and I. It is a free gift of life- not of works, lest any should boast.

Only Jesus can save- not good works.

All you need to do is to surrender your life to Jesus.

How?

Acknowledge that You are a sinner by nature and all your righteousness is not good enough to save you.

(Going to church does not make you a Christian- In fact, Jesus did not come to make us Christians but He came to make us disciples- followers of Him. Being born in a barn does not make you a sheep.

Believe that He died for you- for your justification and redemption and salvation.

Confess Jesus as Lord of Your life. Commit your life to Him. Call on Him to come and take His rightful place – at the centre of your heart.

Pray this simple prayer:

Father, I come this day to your throne of Grace.

I acknowledge that I cannot save myself; only Jesus can, and He has done the deed on the cross when He died.

I accept that perfect sacrifice, even now.

Come into to my life, Lord Jesus and take your rightful place. You said whoever comes to you, will not be turned away. It is also written, “As many as received Him, He gave the power to become children of God.”

You said in your Word, with the heart one believes and is made righteous and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

I believe with my heart that Jesus is my Saviour and my Lord. I confess Him as Lord of my life from this day.

I am born again. The old has gone and the new has come. I am a New Creation. The Life of God is now resident in me. I have passed from death unto life.

Thank You, Lord, for saving me.

I thank God I am born again.

Use the form below to record your salvation today. Note that you have been born from above. Make a good note of this date. You may not feel different, but your salvation is not based on feelings. It is based on the truth of the Word of God.

Thank God, I am Born Again!

I ————————————————–

On the ———– of —————

Acknowledged that:

I was a sinner, in need of a Saviour and that only Jesus can save me (Eph2:8-9).

Believed that:

Jesus died in my place, took my sin away and bridged the gap between me and God.

(2Corinthians5:21, 1Peter1:18-19, John1:29, Romans 8:1-2, Romans5:1)

Confessed Jesus as my Lord and Saviour and invited Him to come into my life. (Romans10:9-10,13)

And as a result of this quality decision:

I was born again, the old went and the new came, according to the scriptures

(2Corinthians 5:17, John3:3,8, John1:12, John6:37, Revelation3:20,).

My name was written in the book of life

I am now part of the Body of Christ –the Church -looking forward to His return.

I am now a child of God and a citizen of heaven.

The Holy Spirit is my Helper, Standby, Teacher, Comforter, Strengthener and Guide.

( John16,13,14,17)

God is not just my God, He is my Father in heaven.

I do not have religion but a relationship with Him

Thank you, Jesus, for saving me.

Help me, Lord to live and shine for you.

Do me a favour by letting me know You have committed your life to Christ. I want to rejoice with you and help you to grow in grace to maturity. God bless you richly.

Universal was the Doom
Have You Made Room?

No single exception
Are you of the election?

All woman born

 Have you been reborn?

All who did not believe
Were not received.
No rank or possession,
No character or profession,
No boasting or sneering,
No piety or conniving,
No self-righteousness,
Or façade of godliness,
Universal was the doom.
All swallowed in the swoon.

My soul tremble
At the apathy.
Be not simple.
Stop the party.

Come to yourself;
Examine yourself
Like the prodigal;
Come and confess
Come like the lost.
If you are in the cold
Or if you are lukewarm
If the first love is gone.

Come let us reason.
There is every reason
Leave the madness
Debunk the carelessness
Put to flight the foolery.
Come in a hurry.

The day is far spent
Night is on the advent.

And when you’ve made your peace
Tied the knot with the Prince of Peace
O what a joy, what merriment in heaven!
Thou shall have bliss, safe in the Ark
Thou shalt have warmth, safe in the Ark
No principality can touch, safe in the Ark
No foe or power can touch, safe in the Ark!

Matthew 24:39
And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away: so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

“Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”John3:3

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’ Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. If you say, ‘The Lord is my refuge,’ and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. ‘Because he loves me,’ says the Lord, ‘I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honour him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.’ (Psalm 91:1-16 NIVUK)

He washed My Sins Away ( by Fenny West)

He washed away my sins
When I groped in the dark
Wallowing in the bin
Far beyond His mark.

It was so, so hopeless
But Jesus embraced me
Made useful, the useless
He came in His mercy.

He washed whiter than snow
And the prisoner went free
The dross began to glow
The blind began to see.

Jesus washed away my sin

Glory hallelujah!
Past from death unto life
My God did a wonder
Gave me abundant life!

New Life in Christ

by Rick Warren

“Anyone who belongs to Christ is a new person. The past is forgotten, and everything is new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17 CEV)

Can a butterfly go back into a cocoon after it’s come out as a caterpillar? Of course not. It can’t happen. Once the caterpillar becomes a butterfly, it is what it is — a butterfly.

When you become a believer, you’re like that butterfly — you come out of your cocoon. It may take you some time to fly spiritually, but once you become a new creation in Christ, you are what you are. You are a new creation.

The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Anyone who belongs to Christ is a new person. The past is forgotten, and everything is new” (CEV).

So what does it mean to become a new creation in Christ? The moment you believe in Christ, there’s a spiritual metamorphosis — everything changes! This is a matter of faith and not sight.

The greatest step of faith we can take in our lives is to believe what God says about who Jesus is and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

I believe the second greatest step you can take is to believe what God says about who you are. You are a new creation in Christ! The Bible says in Romans 6:14, “Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace” (NLT).

A true life, a better life, a wonderful life is only found in Christ. When you become a Christian, you have a new life in him.

To help you understand how to begin a relationship with Jesus Christ and become part of God’s family, we’ve created a special page on my website, rickwarren.org. When you go there, click on the “Know God” tab, and you’ll find a video that explains what it means to be saved.

Talk It Over
• If you are a follower of Jesus, what’s the biggest change that God made in your life when you started that relationship?
• What does Paul mean when he says that “sin is no longer your master”?
•To whom can you confess your sin so that you no longer have it as a master?
