My Hope of Glory ( Fenny West)

My Hope of Glory

Jesus was made to be sin

Though He had no sin.

He took away all my sin.

He took away all your sin.

Jesus was condemned

When I should be condemned;

When you should be condemned.

He made us accepted

In the beloved.

Through His deed

He met our great need

He made me complete

And made you complete.

Through this deed

He gave me a righteous robe

Out went the filthy robe

And when God looks at me,

He sees not what I used to be;

He sees Jesus Christ in me.

My soul, rejoice today

For Jesus made the way

For me to be set free

For the blind to see

For the prisoner of sin to be set free.

My soul, rejoice today

You’re set free from the fowler’s snare.

My face can wear a smile

Gone is all that is vile

Complete in Jesus

Accepted in Jesus

Beloved in Jesus

Christ in me

My hope of glory.

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
2 Corinthians 5:21

Being a Beacon

Shining as Light

Requires effort

Yet not by might

Requires yielding

And obedience

And commitment

To excellence.

You must be visible

And very conspicuous

Continuously burning

Inextinguishable

Boldly proclaiming

The word with your life

With expanding circumference

And enduring  influence

Leaving a living legacy

Courting God’s affirmation

And divine confirmation

Like those in the hall of faith

Abel, Noah, Abraham, Enoch.

13

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

14

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

15

Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.

16

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matt5:13-161 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.

2

Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

3

You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

4

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

5

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

6

If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

7

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

8

By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

John15:1-8

6     So he answered and said to me: ” This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘ Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts.Zech4:6

I Am Redeemed (by Fenny West)

Christ three crosses CG96 forgiven, acquitted

I am redeemed!

Blood bought

From the slave market of sin

Brought out of the kingdom of darkness

Ushered into the kingdom of God’s dear Son.

I am redeemed!

Purchased with a great price

Not with the blood of bulls and goats,

But with the precious blood of Jesus.

I am redeemed!

He made full payment

When He said, ‘It is finished!’

It is done, yes it is done!

My salvation is a done deal.

No one can bring a charge

No one can bring a claim

He took my place on the cross

Yet I was crucified with Him.

I died with Him and was buried with Him

And was raised with Him

And now sited with Him

In heavenly places

Far above principalities and powers.

I am redeemed from the curse of the law.

No curse can alight on me. Jesus took it all away!

I am redeemed.

I am passed from death unto life.

I have the God-kind of life- Zoe.

I am accepted in the beloved.

I am born of the seed of Abraham.

I am owned by the great I Am-

the I Am that I Am.

I am redeemed!

When the destroying angel comes

He will see the blood of Jesus

And He will pass away.

Why? I am redeemed.

He who knew no sin

Was made sin for me

 He became the scape goat.

He became the innocent Lamb of God.

He bore my punishment

For me to go scot free.

I am free! The snare is broken

The prison door is opened.

The blind can now see

The dead can now rise.

The barred can now enter

The throne of Grace, freely, boldly

To the glory of God.

7          In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence Eph1:7

30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God — and righteousness and sanctification and redemption 1Cor1:30

1     Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!

    For His mercy endures forever.

2     Let the redeemed of the LORD say so,

Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy,

3     And gathered out of the lands,

From the east and from the west,

From the north and from the south. Ps107:1-3

And begin to look

Crannies and nooks

Till you’re hooked.

Find the good Book

The Book of books

That you forsook.

Friend, find the Book.

Find the good Book

Make it your rock

On which to stand

It will make you stand.

Find the good Book

It’s full of gems

That you badly need

To make you creed.

Find the good Book

Do not delay

Do it at once

It is God’s voice.

8          This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Jos1:8

6     “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.

7     You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

8     You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.

9     You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Deut6:6-8

20   My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings.

21   Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart;

22   For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.

23   Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.Prov.4:20-23

12   I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth More than my necessary food. Job23:12

Psalms 1: Book One: Psalms 1 — 41The Way of the Righteous and the End of the Ungodly

1     Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

2     But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.

3     He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also

shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

Ps1:1-3

7     The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple;

8     The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes;

9     The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

10   More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

11   Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward.

Ps19:7-11

72   The law of Your mouth is better to me Than thousands of coins of gold and silver

96   I have seen the consummation of all perfection, But Your commandment is exceedingly broad.

103How sweet are Your words to my taste, Sweeter than honey to my mouth!

165Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble

51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed —52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”55 ” O Death, where is your sting?O Hades, where is your victory?”56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.

57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

1     And Hannah prayed and said: ” My heart rejoices in the LORD; My horn is exalted in the LORD. I smile at my enemies, Because I rejoice in Your salvation.

2     ” No one is holy like the LORD, For there is none besides You, Nor is there any rock like our God.

3     ” Talk no more so very proudly; Let no arrogance come from your mouth, For the LORD is the God of knowledge; And by Him actions are weighed.

4     ” The bows of the mighty men are broken, And those who stumbled are girded with strength.

5     Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread, And the hungry have ceased to hunger. Even the barren has borne seven, And she who has many children has become feeble.

6     ” The LORD kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and brings up.

7     The LORD makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up.

8     He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the beggar from the ash heap, To set them among princes And make them inherit the throne of glory. ” For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’s, And He has set the world upon them.

9     He will guard the feet of His saints, But the wicked shall be silent in darkness. ” For by strength no man shall prevail.

10   The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken in pieces; From heaven He will thunder against them. The LORD will judge the ends of the earth. ” He will give strength to His king, And exalt the horn of His anointed.”1Sam2:1-10

6     And Sarah said, “God has made me laugh, and all who hear will laugh with me.”

7     She also said, “Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? For I have borne him a son in his old age.”

Gen21:6-7

19   He shall deliver you in six troubles, Yes, in seven no evil shall touch you.

20   In famine He shall redeem you from death, And in war from the power of the sword.

21   You shall be hidden from the scourge of the tongue, And you shall not be afraid of destruction when it comes.

22   You shall laugh at destruction and famine, And you shall not be afraid of the beasts of the earth.

23   For you shall have a covenant with the stones of the field, And the beasts of the field shall be at peace with you.

24   You shall know that your tent is in peace; You shall visit your dwelling and find nothing amiss.

Job5:19-24

Psalms 126: A Joyful Return to ZionA Song of Ascents.

1     When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream.

2     Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, ” The LORD has done great things for them.”

3     The LORD has done great things for us, And we are glad.

4     Bring back our captivity, O LORD, As the streams in the South.

5     Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy.

6     He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.

The Road to True Greatness ( Fenny West)

The Road to True Greatness
Begins with Jesus
Taking rightful place
Communing with Him
Hearing His voice
Doing His will
Driven by purpose
Paying the price
To get the prize

The Road to greatness:
Fraught with challenges
Obstacles and uncertainties
Valley and mountains
Bears and lions
Goliaths and giants
Opposition and trials
Persecution and tribulation

But you forge on
As a champion
In the Name of the Son
Using the powerful word
Standing on the promises
Praying the promises
Taking steps of faith
Spending and being spent
Pushing and pressing
Till something happens
You dream big dreams
See beyond the seen
See through God’s eyes
Refusing to limit Him
Till your purpose is done.

6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
