Leave Your Prison and Captivity
It is time to Leave your captivity.
Leave with a shout of praise.
with a song of felicity
Announce the end of your deprivation
Declare your freedom
from slavery and serfdom
Proclaim with the song of the Lord
You are the redeemed of the Lord.
The Lord will move the hearts of kings;
He will jolt them even from their sleep
They will show you favour in all things
Laughter shall be the portion of those that weep.
Their mockery shall birth your recovery
Their taunt shall trigger your triumph.
Their disdain shall ignite your gain
Their provocation shall bring promotion.
God will shatter the gates of brass
and nullify the power of those who oppress
Those who came in broke will go out loaded
Favoured, released, resurrected and restored.
20 Go forth from Babylon! Flee from the Chaldeans! With a voice of singing, Declare, proclaim this, Utter it to the end of the earth; Say, “The LORD has redeemed His servant Jacob!”
