Strength from Weakness
Strength from weakness
Comes from relying solely
On God- the Most High
Who has all power
And above all towers.
He is full of lovingkindness
Has wisdom beyond compare
He commands and it stand
Declares the end from beginning
And full of grace and compassion
He is absolutely reliable
His word is dependable
Just like His matchless Name
He remains ever the same
With Him all things are possible
He is the Great Potter
And we are the clay
When we are marred
He is able to make us
Into something beautiful
Fit for purpose- useful.
So let us let go
As to let God
LetRely on Him
Not ourselves
Not on our purses
Not on our houses
Not on our fame
Not on our name
Not on our connections
Or our collections
Not on our accolades
Not on our looks
Or our books
Not on our brains
Not on father or mother
Not on brother or sister
Not on friends
Who may pretend
But on the higher power
The One like no other.
‘The weaker you are
In the Hand of God
It’s all the more, the better’
6 For though I might desire to boast, I will not be a fool; for I will speak the truth. But I refrain, lest anyone should think of me above what he sees me to be or hears from me.
7 And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure.
8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me.
9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2Cor12:6-10
