To those who seat in darkness
To bring recovery of sight
To those who grope in blindness.
He was sent
To those who labour in prison
The poor, oppressed, distressed.
He was sent to those bound by sin
In the dungeons and in a great mess.
He was sent
to those whose strength is spent
those without hope;
those that are crooked-bent;
heart-broken and cannot cope.
He was sent to you and I.
He was sent
and to lift us up
Deal with the devil
Who came to usurp
He was sent
to those who fear;
who hide from His presence
Not knowing He’s always there and cares
And all they need do is come with repentance
He was sent to bring a New Song
To those who mourn, singing old songs
Those who moan, groan and sigh
And have been sick for very long.
He was sent to announce a New Dawn.
He was sent
To stoop vey low
To raise us up high
To take our sorrows
And wipe the tears from our eyes.
Today, draw near to Him
And He will drew near to you
Open your heart to Him
And He will come into you.
To you He was sent
So do not relent
Only repent
Obey is commandment.
