Phil4:6-7

Philippians 4:6-7 New King James Version (NKJV) 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. New King James Version (NKJV)

43 But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you.
For I am the Lord your God,
The Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
I gave Egypt for your ransom,
Ethiopia and Seba in your place.
Since you were precious in My sight,
You have been honored,
And I have loved you;
Therefore I will give men for you,
And people for your life.
Fear not, for I am with you;
I will bring your descendants from the east,
And gather you from the west

Those who oppose  you
Are working for you.
Take a leaf from Joseph.
They came and prostrated before him.
They were terrified when he revealed himself.

Then Joseph said to his brothers, “I am Joseph; does my father still live?” But his brothers could not answer him, for they were dismayed in his presence. And Joseph said to his brothers, “Please come near to me.” So they came near. Then he said: “I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt. But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life. With their armaments and in great fury
Against the people of God.
They thought they got them, they were trapped by the Red Sea.
But little did they know  they were digging their Graves.
Soon they were all gone in a watery grave. They all like a stone as the apple of God’s eyes crossed over to the other side.
The Lord is fighting for them.

14 The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”

15 And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. 16 But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
25 And He took off their chariot wheels, so that they drove them with difficulty; and the Egyptians said, “Let us flee from the face of Israel, for the Lord fights for them against the Egyptians.”

Child of God.
Jesus has given the Word:
“Let us go to the otherside.”
Then there was tumult,
ferocious, atrocious, malevolent wind, bent on destruction.
The Disciples were afraid and panicked:”Master don’t you care?”
Jesus, rose and spoke to the wind,”Peace, be still.”  And there was a great calm.
And the reached the otherside.
Wind and Wave Obey Jesus

35 On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.” 36 Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him. 37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. 38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”

39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace,[a] be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. 40 But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How[b] is it that you have no faith?” 41 And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!”

Then they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gadarenes…

Wherever he went, there was the prophecy coming from the Holy Spirit of the atrocities he would suffer in places.
But Paul kept his cool. He said,

24″ But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my [b]race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

Paul’s Valedictory

For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

Elisha was having a quiet time, and in rushed his servant in hysteria and great phobia:
“Master, we are done for! We are surrounded by our enemies. And they are very many. It a hopeless situation.” (paraphrase)
What did his master say?

“Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 18 So when the Syrians came down to him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, and said, “Strike this people, I pray, with blindness.” And He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha. 2 Kings 6:16-18

Jesus was crucified and the disciples ran underground,  afraid they would be next in line. The demon spirits rejoiced, “We got Him! We we got Him!
But little did they know they had played into God’s hands.
After the righteous demands of Just God were accepted,  and Jesus had disarmed principalities and powers,  He rose up triumphant as the King of Glory , the Resurrection and the Life.
He came back to His disciples and said,
“All Hail!”
Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

Cast Down but Unconquered

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us

Seeing the Invisible

16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

And David Encouraged Himself..

I had to encourage myself as David did when I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. You too will come to such a place from time to time and the secret of going from glory to glory and strength to strength is to dip into your arsenal and bringing out the weapons such as songs and poems God gave you in your night.
(A musical experience when Fenny encourage himself in the Lord His God, like David of old. You too have to sing your song in the night, give God a sacrifice of praise at midnight like Paul and Silas.
As you do God will enjoy your praise and shatter your chains and intervene in your behalf, fight for you.

Lord, Send Your Word ( sermon & song) ( by Fenny West)

http://youtu.be/4sYUewBi-xU

The word of God is not bound; it is spirit and life; it  is medicine; it is powerful, dynamic, living, anointed, ignites, propels, advances, destroys the works of darkness. It will accomplish what God has ordained. The grass may wither, the flowers may fade but the word of God abides forever. Esteem God’s word, crave for it more than your necessary food. Stand on God’s word. Pray God’s word. Live in God’s word. Eat it, meditate on it and digest it. Say what God says in His word concerning you or any area of your life regardless of your current experiences. God is not a man that He should lie. Believe what He says about your family, finances, health, ministry, your future or any matter. Takes sides with Him, like Caleb and Joshua. Say like the centurion,’ Lord, send Your word only and it shall be done.’

Jesus Heals a Centurion’s Servant

5 Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him,

6 saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.”

7 And Jesus said to him,

“I will come and heal him.”

8 The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.

9 For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.

10 When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed,

“Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!

11

And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.

12

But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

13 Then Jesus said to the centurion,

“Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour.  Matt8:5-13

Sing a New Song

We can Sing a New Song in all the seasons of our lives because of the faithfulness and presence of the Lord. A heart in tune with God sings songs of praise at all times. Those who know their God can look forward to the future, not with foreboding, but with anticipation of the goodness of God in the land of the living.

15   And he said, “Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the LORD to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

2Chro.2:15

When I come to the Crossroad the blood will speak

When Pharaoh pursues me after leaving Egypt, I will not fear but stand to see the salvation of the Lord, the blood traps await him. As the Egyptian soldiers drown in the Red sea so shall it be for the Pharaoh- financial, Pharaoh- health; Pharaoh-relation; Pharaoh arrayed against my vision; pharaoh arrayed against my Church; Pharaoh arrayed against my family. The blood will speak! (Ex14)

When goliath comes to challenge the David mantle will come upon me to see him for who he is: uncircumcised Philistine. (1 Sam 17)

tn_j0353635

God will remind me of the testimonies He had given me in the past, to embolden me to go after Goliath in the name of the Lord.

I shall review the past and brag about my God- able to do exceeding abundantly more than my wildest dream.(1Sam17:36-37; Eph3:20)

I shall use no carnal weapons but my sling and my stone, my endowment; what God has put in me. (2Cor10:4-5)

His grace upon my life is sufficient for me. Through my God I shall do valiantly. I shall not cower but run towards my enemy with my stone and sling. (2Cor12:9)

Then shall I run forward and take Goliath’s sword- that with which he threatened me- and cut off his head. The place where I have been tried most shall be the source of my greatest triumph. (1Sam17:48)

As I use my sling and stone the Holy Spirit will guide the missile to the right target- the bull’s eye and my Goliath will fall in Jesus’ Name. (1Sam17:49)

By the fall of this Goliath light shall be turned on for the Church, my Church. Many will be emboldened to do what they have not done before. Those who quaked in their boots will have springs in their steps because of the victory the Lord will bring. (1Sam17:51-52)

Yes, they banded together in a confederacy and came against Jehoshaphat and Judah. The King fear at first but summon courage and called a time of national fasting and prayer. In his prayer he praise God and acknowledged His sovereignty and reminded God of His friend Abraham. Using various rhetorical questions he wrestled with God until God responded in a prophecy: ‘Do not be afraid because of this great multitude. The battle is not yours but mine.’ (2Chro20:15)

God gave him a strategy: Go out against them. You will not fight. I will fight for you.(2Chro20:16-17) Since they were not going to fight they resorted to sing in the face of the battle, but they were obedient to go against the enemy with their praise:

Praise ye the Lord, His mercies endures forever.

Praise ye the Lord, His mercies endures forever. ( 2Chro20 :21-22)

And as they did the Lord cause the enemy so see themselves as their enemies and started killing each other. They completely wiped themselves out, leaving the theatre of war, the field of war littered with gold silver and so much spoils that it took three days for Judah to gather the booty. God gave Judah unprecedented protection and provision in the face of conspiracy, satanic alliance and opposition.(—:22-25)

That God remains the same. ‘He said I am the Lord I change not.’ Jesus Christ, the same , yesterday, today and forever.’ ( Mal 3: 6, Heb13:8)

Satan lusted after Job and came against him, accusing him before God, but God bragged about Job. Satan told Go have you not placed a hedge of protection over him? Remove it and he will curse you to your face.’ (Job 1:8-10,  21)

God allowed Satan to attack Job and his family, the billionaire became a pauper in one day as he lost all his camel, donkeys, sheep and even his children one after the other. Job worship: ‘The Lord has given, the Lord has taken, Blessed be the name of the Lord!’ (Job1:13-19,21) ‘ I know my redeemer lives. ( Job19:25-26) I will wait until my change comes.(Job14:14) Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him; (-13:15) When he has tried me I will come forth like gold;( -23:10)

Job who was the advocate of the poor, eyes to the blind, feet to the lame was reduced to nothing, avoided by his family and relatives, a byword. He was surrounded by miserable comforters who accused him of sin and made him feel worse. But God sustained Job and gave him a song in the night. (Job35:10)

In the fullness of time as Job prayed for his friends, God turned his captivity and calamity and blessed him twice as much as he was initially blessed. He renewed his youth and he was able to have ten more children. There was no rival to the beauty of his daughter. (Job42:8-10, 11-16)

Those who despised and rejected him came to celebrate with him and even brought gifts. He lived long enough to see his great grand children. What a victory in the face of severe battle!

The God of Job is still on the throne and He is my God. Regardless of what the enemy is doing God will triumph by His Spirit. God has the final say and the final word. I shall not fear what Satan or man will do to me. The Lord is my Helper, Arbiter, Advocate, Sun and Shield, Fortress and Victorious Banner. A great testimony and triumph shall come from my trial and tests. (Heb13:6)

When I come to the crossroad, the blood will speak. When Pharaoh pursues he will be greeted with the Red sea. (Ex14:13-15)

Let Jericho be fortified, barricade, look impenetrable, my victory is in my praise. These walls that stare me in the face, daring me, taunting me, will see the power of the Lord. They will be greeted with a rude awakening as my praise goes forth. The Lord will fight for me and I will hold my peace. They will fall down flat! (Josh6:1-5)

jehoshaphat's victory

Oh yes, let the Philistines come with all their armada of weaponry because of my anointing and the increase in my territory. The Lord has given me a land of good things. I will press in and make it mine. I will not cover. I will not retreat. I will seek the face of the Lord like David, ’Shall I pursue? Will you deliver them into my hands? Will I recover all?’ (2Sam:17-25)

The Philistines Defeated

8     Now when the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to search for David. And David heard of it and went out against them.

9     Then the Philistines went and made a raid on the Valley of Rephaim.

10   And David inquired of God, saying, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand?” The LORD said to him, “Go up, for I will deliver them into your hand.”

11   So they went up to Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there. Then David said, “God has broken through my enemies by my hand like a breakthrough of water.” Therefore they called the name of that place Baal Perazim.

12   And when they left their gods there, David gave a commandment, and they were burned with fire.

13   Then the Philistines once again made a raid on the valley.

14   Therefore David inquired again of God, and God said to him, “You shall not go up after them; circle around them, and come upon them in front of the mulberry trees.

15   And it shall be, when you hear a sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall go out to battle, for God has gone out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.”

16   So David did as God commanded him, and they drove back the army of the Philistines from Gibeon as far as Gezer.

17        Then the fame of David went out into all lands, and the LORD brought the fear of him upon all nations.(2Chro14:8-17)

I shall pursue, I shall over take and recover all, to the glory of God. None of my stolen property shall remain in the hands of the enemy. I will go to the enemy’s camp and take what Satan has stolen from me. I will bind the strongman and take what belongs to me. God is for me, with me and in me. The Holy will guide me, strengthen me, anoint me and give me the strategy. (1Sam30:6,8, 18-19)

This financial Goliath will fall in Jesus’ name. I will hear what the Lord has said in the midst of the famine as He did to Isaac: Stay in the land and I will bless you.’ Isaac did and even sowed and was blessed with a hundredfold return. That shall be my portion, in Jesus’ name. (Gen26:1-6,12)

Victory is mine, the battle is the Lord’s.

Is the enemy laughing that you obeyed God, followed divine direction and I was beaten, battered and broken, bleeding and my hands and feet are in stock. You can barely move and have been thrown into the back of a prison. It’s time to give a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of your lips. Your victory is in your praise!

Are your foes are rejoicing, in great glee?: ‘We got him, we got him!’ But they do not have the final word. God is not a man that He should lie nor the Son of man that He should repent. ( Num23:19)  They thought the same when Jesus was crucified. Demon spirits rejoiced. But on the third day, after heaven had got the news that the righteous demands of a just God had been satisfied, Jesus was raised from the dead. He rose up just like He said. The grave could not hold Him. The cross could not keep Him  He rose up triumphant- truly the King of Glory! (Luke24:5-6, John20:16-17) Alleluia!

Through a great test Paul and Silas obtain a great testimony as they sang and praised and prayed to their God in the prison at midnight. The foundations if the prison was rocked and their chains fell off. And so what appeared the foolishness of God for directing him to Philippi was wiser than the wisdom of men. Although Paul suffered, the greatest miracle that can be wrought in any one’s life-salvation-was wrought in the life of the jailor and even in his household. God’s ways are not our ways and his thoughts are not ours. They are far higher than ours. (Acts16:22-24, 25-34; 1Cor1:25)

No battle, no victory. Great battle, Great victory!

So Redeemed -of –the- Lord, Blood Bought, Blood Kept, Blood Spoken for, are you facing a severe trial? Stand to see your salvation. The battle is not yours but God’s. Seek the face of the Lord. Hear His Voice, obtain divine direct, divine strategy and instruction you need to overcome the enemy of your destiny and purpose.  (2Chro20, 1Sam30, 1Chro14, 2Sam5 Jos6). Refuse to bow to the adversary. Jesus said in the world you will have tribulation but be of good cheer I have overcome the world. (John16:33) The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of stronghold, casting down every imagination and high thing that exalts itself against the revealed will of the Lord  (2Cor10:4-5). . Jesus said ‘Behold, I give you power all the power of the enemy; .power to trample upon serpents and scorpions.( Luke10:19) Stand your ground. Put on the whole armour of God that you may be able to stand in the veil the day. Don the helmet of salvation the breastplate of right-standing with God. . Put on the shoes of the gospel and the belt of truth. Above all take the shield of faith with which to extinguish every flaming arrow of doubt, deceit and unbelief that the enemy throws at you. Take the offensive weapon of the word of God – the sword of the spirit and .and go out against your enemies. Go in the name of the Lord.  Use the prophetic word that God gave you and pray it back to the Lord. Be on the offensive; set your face like a flint and go like David did in Ziklag. After three days and three nights victory came. ( Sam30:18-19) That same victory is coming to you because of Calvary; because it is finished; because the blood so peak better things that the blood of bulls and goat. Because they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, that they loved not their lives even unto death. ( Eph6:10-18, John19:30; Matt11:12; Rev12:11)

CGCC

I will conclude with this story.

A man had an old donkey which fell into a disused well. He tried to rescue it but met will a lot of frustration so he decided he would not bother, the donkey was old anyway and the well was of no use. He then asked his family and friends to help him to bury the donkey and close the offending well.

So they armed themselves with shovels and stated throwing dirt on the donkey in the well. The donkey screamed hysterically initially, surprised that he was being buried alive, but after a while quieted down.

The owner thought he was dead and looked in. He could not believe what he saw. With each batch of debris and dirt that landed on the donkey, he simply shook it off and took a step up. As the debris cam he simply shook it off and took a step up. He kept doing this until he came out of the well and strutted off majestically and triumphantly.

What is life throwing at you? Who is trying to bury you alive? Who is saying to you ‘It’s all over for you? Now that it is not over until God says so. God is sovereign over your life – not the enemy of your soul. So whatever is being thrown at you right now, shake it off and take a step up are the debt collectors threatening? Shake it off and take a step up. Is it health issue? Shake it off and take a step up. Take a double dose of God’s pills. By His stripes you were healed. And we know that all things work together for those who love God and who are the called according to His purpose. Neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor height nor depth nor any other created thing shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus. Shall tribulation separate us? No! Shall persecution separate us? No! Shall famine or nakedness or peril or sword? No! Nay in all these things we are more than conquerors. Shake it off and take a step up.

(Rom8:31, 32, 35, 37-39)

Shake it off and take a step up

What is life throwing at you?

Shake it off and take a step up

Is it financial trouble?

Shake it off and take a step up

Is your destiny assaulted?

Seek God’s face, obtain His strategy

To shaking the debris  of your foes off

And taking a step up

Is your family ambushed?

Shake it off and take a step up

Have you lost your business or job?

You have an opportunity to start again

Shake it off and take a step up

From being an employee you will be an employer

Shake it off and take a step up

Your greatest challenge will charge you

And bring and wonderful change

As you look to the Lord

Shake it off and take a step up

The boon and bounty awaiting the barren

Incredible, indescribable, unspeakable

But requiring calm, trust in the face of storm

Requiring passionate, importunate prayer.

Abraham and Sarah were in this difficult place

But at the set time they got laughter- Isaac

Isaac and Rebekah were in this stony place

Isaac prayed with all his heart and twins came.

Jacob was in this desert place with Rachel

He trusted God and Joseph- fruitful bow- came.

Hannah was in the valley of valleys and agonised

God answered her prayer by giving her Samuel.

Her horn was exalted as she smiled at her enemies.

Manoah and his wife were quarantined in this prison

But God had mercy on them and gave them Samson.

Zachariah and Elizabeth were marooned in this land

God turned the table and gave them John the Baptist.

Therefore sing, O barren one

You who has borne no fruit

More shall be the children of the barren

That the woman who has a husband.

Sing, O Desolate

The Lord will not forget you.

Enlarge the place of your dwelling

Spread out spare not

Lengthen your cord and strengthen your stakes.

Trust that you will not rust

And the last shall be the first.

30   But Sarai was barren; she had no child.Gen11:30

Be Patient

‘The Patient dog eats the fattest bone.’

2     But Abram said, “Lord GOD, what will You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?”

3     Then Abram said, “Look, You have given me no offspring; indeed one born in my house is my heir!”

4     And behold, the word of the LORD came to him, saying, “This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.”

5     Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.”Gen15:1-5

Resist the temptation to help God

‘If you look for a short cut it could cut you short.’

‘A child of the flesh will turn out to be a thorn in your flesh.’

1     Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, had borne him no children. And she had an Egyptian maidservant whose name was Hagar.

2     So Sarai said to Abram, “See now, the LORD has restrained me from bearing children. Please, go in to my maid; perhaps I shall obtain children by her.” And Abram heeded the voice of Sarai.

3     Then Sarai, Abram’s wife, took Hagar her maid, the Egyptian, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan.

4     So he went in to Hagar, and she conceived. And when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress became despised in her eyes.

Gen16:1-4

God has a set time and He is a God of integrity

And the LORD visited Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah as He had spoken.

2     For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

3     And Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him — whom Sarah bore to him — Isaac.

Gen21:1-3

Prayer works wonders pray for your barren womb to be opened

Expect a double portion for your trouble

21   Now Isaac pleaded with the LORD for his wife, because she was barren; and the LORD granted his plea, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

22   But the children struggled together within her; and she said, “If all is well, why am I like this?” So she went to inquire of the LORD.

23   And the LORD said to her: ” Two nations are in your womb, Two peoples shall be separated from your body; One people shall be stronger than the other, And the older shall serve the younger.”

24   So when her days were fulfilled for her to give birth, indeed there were twins in her womb.

25   And the first came out red. He was like a hairy garment all over; so they called his name Esau.

26   Afterward his brother came out, and his hand took hold of Esau’s heel; so his name was called Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when she bore them.

Gen25

Beautiful but barren

17   Leah’s eyes were delicate, but Rachel was beautiful of form and appearance.

31   When the LORD saw that Leah was unloved, He opened her womb; but Rachel was barren.

Gen29:17,31

1  Now when Rachel saw that she bore Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister, and said to Jacob, “Give me children, or else I die!”

God remembers the barren.

Do not fall into the  trap of blaming others for your barrenness. That is a snare of the enemy.

22        Then God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb.

23        And she conceived and bore a son, and said, “God has taken away my reproach.”

24        So she called his name Joseph, and said, “The LORD shall add to me another son.”

25        And it came to pass, when Rachel had borne Joseph, that Jacob said to Laban, “Send me away, that I may go to my own place and to my country.

Gen30:1, 22-25

2     Now there was a certain man from Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren and had no children.

3     And the Angel of the LORD appeared to the woman and said to her, “Indeed now, you are barren and have borne no children, but you shall conceive and bear a son. 24       So the woman bore a son and called his name Samson; and the child grew, and the LORD blessed him.

Judges13:2-3,24

Hannah was passionate and importunate and God heard her prayers

You may face ridicule because you are barren.

You may be disdained because you are barren.

Some people may misunderstand you and misinterpret you plight. Never mind. Trust God to turn your table.

Be wise. Keep your eyes on the Lord. Do not envy those who are fruitful.

Expect a boon and bounty from God.

1     Now there was a certain man of Ramathaim Zophim, of the mountains of Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephraimite.

2     And he had two wives: the name of one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah. Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.

19   Then they rose early in the morning and worshiped before the LORD, and returned and came to their house at Ramah. And Elkanah knew Hannah his wife, and the LORD remembered her.

20   So it came to pass in the process of time that Hannah conceived and bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, “Because I have asked for him from the LORD.”

1Sam1:1-2

With God all things are Possible

Your age is no barrier to what God can do. It is not over until He says so.

6     And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

7     But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both well advanced in years.

36   Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren.

37   For with God nothing will be impossible.”

57   Now Elizabeth’s full time came for her to be delivered, and she brought forth a son.

58   When her neighbors and relatives heard how the Lord had shown great mercy to her, they rejoiced with her.

The Shunamite Woman

9     And she said to her husband, “Look now, I know that this is a holy man of God, who passes by us regularly.

10   Please, let us make a small upper room on the wall; and let us put a bed for him there, and a table and a chair and a lampstand; so it will be, whenever he comes to us, he can turn in there.”

11   And it happened one day that he came there, and he turned in to the upper room and lay down there.

12   Then he said to Gehazi his servant, “Call this Shunammite woman.” When he had called her, she stood before him.

13   And he said to him, “Say now to her, ‘Look, you have been concerned for us with all this care. What can I do for you? Do you want me to speak on your behalf to the king or to the commander of the army?’ ” She answered, “I dwell among my own people.”

14   So he said, “What then is to be done for her?” And Gehazi answered, “Actually, she has no son, and her husband is old.”

15   So he said, “Call her.” When he had called her, she stood in the doorway.

16   Then he said, “About this time next year you shall embrace a son.” And she said, “No, my lord. Man of God, do not lie to your maidservant!”

17   But the woman conceived, and bore a son when the appointed time had come, of which Elisha had told her.

18   And the child grew. Now it happened one day that he went out to his father, to the reapers.

19   And he said to his father, “My head, my head!” So he said to a servant, “Carry him to his mother.”

20   When he had taken him and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.

21   And she went up and laid him on the bed of the man of God, shut the door upon him, and went out.

Who was barren got child from a prophecy but the child died soon after at a tender age. She refuse ‘no for an answer.

Has your vision died before it even lived? Trust God for resurrection.
