Exonerating Bankers

Pillaging public purse

Siphoning social funds

Bleeding the nation.

Excusing the elephants

Pampering lurking lions

Pandering to the jackals

Pursuing feeble fleas.

Bending over backwards

Assisting many millionaires

Pursuing the poor

Lost your compass.

Unfit for purpose

Generating daggers

Need to be disbanded

To face the music

Like many do.

But you do one good thing

Pushing me into my destiny.

Pursuing like pharaoh

Taunting like Goliath

You will work for my good.

10        And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the LORD.

13   And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.

14   The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”

15   And the LORD said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.

15   And the LORD said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.

16   But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.

17   And I indeed will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them. So I will gain honor over Pharaoh and over all his army, his chariots, and his horsemen.

18        Then the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gained honor for Myself over Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.”

27   And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and when the morning appeared, the sea returned to its full depth, while the Egyptians were fleeing into it. So the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.

28   Then the waters returned and covered the chariots, the horsemen, and all the army of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them. Not so much as one of them remained.

29   But the children of Israel had walked on dry land in the midst of the sea, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

Exodus 15: The Song of Moses

1     Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the LORD, and spoke, saying: ” I will sing to the LORD, For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!

2     The LORD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him.

3     The LORD is a man of war; The LORD is His name.

4     Pharaoh’s chariots and his army He has cast into the sea; His chosen captains also are drowned in the Red Sea.

5     The depths have covered them; They sank to the bottom like a stone.

6     ” Your right hand, O LORD, has become glorious in power; Your right hand, O LORD, has dashed the enemy in pieces.

7     And in the greatness of Your excellence You have overthrown those who rose against You; You sent forth Your wrath; It consumed them like stubble.

8     And with the blast of Your nostrils The waters were gathered together; The floods stood upright like a heap; The depths congealed in the heart of the sea.

9     The enemy said, ‘I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; My desire shall be satisfied on them. I will draw my sword, My hand shall destroy them.’

10   You blew with Your wind, The sea covered them; They sank like lead in the mighty waters.

11   ” Who is like You, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders?

12   You stretched out Your right hand; The earth swallowed them.

13   You in Your mercy have led forth The people whom You have redeemed; You have guided them in Your strength To Your holy habitation.

14   ” The people will hear and be afraid; Sorrow will take hold of the inhabitants of Philistia.

15   Then the chiefs of Edom will be dismayed; The mighty men of Moab, Trembling will take hold of them; All the inhabitants of Canaan will melt away.

16   Fear and dread will fall on them; By the greatness of Your arm They will be as still as a stone, Till Your people pass over, O LORD, Till the people pass over Whom You have purchased.

17   You will bring them in and plant them In the mountain of Your inheritance, In the place, O LORD, which You have made For Your own dwelling, The sanctuary, O Lord, which Your hands have established.

18   ” The LORD shall reign forever and ever.”

19   For the horses of Pharaoh went with his chariots and his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought back the waters of the sea upon them. But the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea.

The Song of Miriam

20   Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took the timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.

21   And Miriam answered them: ” Sing to the LORD, For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!”

19   Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God?

20   But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.

21   Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them. Gen50:19-20

4     And Joseph said to his brothers, “Please come near to me.” So they came near. Then he said: “I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt.

5     But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life.

Gen45:4-5

40        By your sword you shall live, And you shall serve your brother; And it shall come to pass, when you become restless, That you shall break his yoke from your neck.”  Gen 27:40

Genesis 27:40

The Message (MSG)

39-40 Isaac said to him,

You’ll live far from Earth’s bounty,
remote from Heaven’s dew.
You’ll live by your sword, hand-to-mouth,
and you’ll serve your brother.
But when you can’t take it any more
you’ll break loose and run free.

When you say, ‘Enough is enough.’

You will break free, let loose

Find your financial freedom

Break your business barrier.

Bishop David Oyedepo said:

  • “It does not take God 24hrs to change a man’s story, Mordecai in the bible was a gate man to king Ahaseurus, When his book of remembrance was opened, his story changed from gate to palace. This same God can still do it for you, When God opens your book of remembrance, all your sorrows will turn into laughter, all your … days of mourning will turn into dancing, those who mock you, will come & celebrate with you, those who look down on you, will look up to you, those who say “who are you”? Will come & say “how are you to you”? Beloved, God is about to do a new thing in your life, just hold on to him, i can see his mighty hand upon your life…
    I Prophesy Upon your Life
May the Lord do for you, what will shock your enemy,
May He promote you above your contemporaries.
May He fight your hidden battles and grant you victory in every area of your life.
May His eyes of mercy shine upon you.
May He send help from zion for your sake.
May He deliver you from every evil plans of the enemy against your life in Jesus name.”

I believe this man of God

‘FEAR FAILS…HOPE HEALS
ANGER AGGRAVATES…FAITH FREES
HATE HURTS…LOVE LIFTS
CHOOSE YOUR REACTION!’

”  WHEN THE SUN SHINES-
GOD IS GOOD!
WHEN THE RAIN FALLS-
GOD IS GOOD!
WHEN I AM HURTING-
… GOD IS GOOD!
HE KNOWS WHAT I’M GOING THROUGH!”

Time To Hatch a Plan (By Fenny West)

Time to hatch a plan

In line with God’s plan

As you think of Easter

Avoiding every Fear.

 hatch a plan this Easter

Let His resurrection life

Fuel and propel your life

From glory to glory

As to change your story.

Christ is risen

Time to bury the past

Under His blood- fast.

Look to the future

With hope that’s sure.

 cg29cq4[1]

God is faithful

And He is merciful.

God is well able

To turn your table.

 Easter hatch a plan

Let this be your anchor.

Let this be your succour

Lifting you from the floor,

Giving you lasting cure.

“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.

26   And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”John11:25-26

God has a plan for your life and for my life. He wants us to know that plan and cooperate with Him to fulfil that plan.

Do you know His plan for your life? Are your plans in line with that plan?

This Easter, as you think of what Jesus did for you on the cross, why not hatch a plan in line with God’s plan for your life. If you have not surrendered to Him, this will be a fitting time. If you have but strayed away, this will be a good time to come back home, like the prodigal son.

If you are walking with Him, realise that He has a great plan for you and what you have seen is just the beginning -the tip of the iceberg. Why not seek His face for the next step and plan your life in line with His plan and do something to enter your Promised Land? Aim to go from glory to glory and from faith to faith.

Expect great things from a great God; attempt great things for Him.

Those who know their God shall be strong and they shall do great exploits. (Dan.11:32)

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.( Jer29:11)

Boon and Bounty Awaiting the Barren

Boon and Bounty Awaiting the Barren

The boon and bounty awaiting the barren

Incredible, indescribable, unspeakable

But requiring calm, trust in the face of storm

Requiring passionate, importunate prayer.

Abraham and Sarah were in this difficult place

But at the set time they got laughter- Isaac

Isaac and Rebekah were in this stony place

Isaac prayed with all his heart and twins came.

Jacob was in this desert place with Rachel

He trusted God and Joseph- fruitful bow- came.

Hannah was in the valley of valleys and agonised

God answered her prayer by giving her Samuel.

Her horn was exalted as she smiled at her enemies.

Manoah and his wife were quarantined in this prison

But God had mercy on them and gave them Samson.

Zachariah and Elizabeth were marooned in this land

God turned the table and gave them John the Baptist.

Therefore sing, O barren one

You who has borne no fruit

More shall be the children of the barren

That the woman who has a husband.

Sing, O Desolate

The Lord will not forget you.

Enlarge the place of your dwelling

Spread out spare not

Lengthen your cord and strengthen your stakes.

Trust that you will not rust

The first shall be the last

And the last shall be the first.

30   But Sarai was barren; she had no child.Gen11:30

Be Patient

‘The Patient dog eats the fattest bone.’

2     But Abram said, “Lord GOD, what will You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?”

3     Then Abram said, “Look, You have given me no offspring; indeed one born in my house is my heir!”

4     And behold, the word of the LORD came to him, saying, “This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.”

5     Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.”Gen15:1-5

Resist the temptation to help God

‘If you look for a short cut it could cut you short.’

‘A child of the flesh will turn out to be a thorn in your flesh.’

1     Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, had borne him no children. And she had an Egyptian maidservant whose name was Hagar.

2     So Sarai said to Abram, “See now, the LORD has restrained me from bearing children. Please, go in to my maid; perhaps I shall obtain children by her.” And Abram heeded the voice of Sarai.

3     Then Sarai, Abram’s wife, took Hagar her maid, the Egyptian, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan.

4     So he went in to Hagar, and she conceived. And when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress became despised in her eyes.

Gen16:1-4

God has a set time and He is a God of integrity

And the LORD visited Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah as He had spoken.

2     For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

3     And Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him — whom Sarah bore to him — Isaac.

Gen21:1-3

Prayer works wonders pray for your barren womb to be opened

Expect a double portion for your trouble

21   Now Isaac pleaded with the LORD for his wife, because she was barren; and the LORD granted his plea, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

22   But the children struggled together within her; and she said, “If all is well, why am I like this?” So she went to inquire of the LORD.

23   And the LORD said to her: ” Two nations are in your womb, Two peoples shall be separated from your body; One people shall be stronger than the other, And the older shall serve the younger.”

24   So when her days were fulfilled for her to give birth, indeed there were twins in her womb.

25   And the first came out red. He was like a hairy garment all over; so they called his name Esau.

26   Afterward his brother came out, and his hand took hold of Esau’s heel; so his name was called Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when she bore them.

Gen25

Beautiful but barren

17   Leah’s eyes were delicate, but Rachel was beautiful of form and appearance.

31   When the LORD saw that Leah was unloved, He opened her womb; but Rachel was barren.

Gen29:17,31

1  Now when Rachel saw that she bore Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister, and said to Jacob, “Give me children, or else I die!”

God remembers the barren.

Do not fall into the  trap of blaming others for your barrenness. That is a snare of the enemy.

22        Then God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb.

23        And she conceived and bore a son, and said, “God has taken away my reproach.”

24        So she called his name Joseph, and said, “The LORD shall add to me another son.”

25        And it came to pass, when Rachel had borne Joseph, that Jacob said to Laban, “Send me away, that I may go to my own place and to my country.

Gen30:1, 22-25

2     Now there was a certain man from Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren and had no children.

3     And the Angel of the LORD appeared to the woman and said to her, “Indeed now, you are barren and have borne no children, but you shall conceive and bear a son. 24       So the woman bore a son and called his name Samson; and the child grew, and the LORD blessed him.

Judges13:2-3,24

Hannah was passionate and importunate and God heard her prayers

You may face ridicule because you are barren.

You may be disdained because you are barren.

Some people may misunderstand you and misinterpret you plight. Never mind. Trust God to turn your table.

Be wise. Keep your eyes on the Lord. Do not envy those who are fruitful.

Expect a boon and bounty from God.

1     Now there was a certain man of Ramathaim Zophim, of the mountains of Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephraimite.

2     And he had two wives: the name of one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah. Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.

19   Then they rose early in the morning and worshiped before the LORD, and returned and came to their house at Ramah. And Elkanah knew Hannah his wife, and the LORD remembered her.

20   So it came to pass in the process of time that Hannah conceived and bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, “Because I have asked for him from the LORD.”

1Sam1:1-2

With God all things are Possible

Your age is no barrier to what God can do. It is not over until He says so.

6     And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

7     But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both well advanced in years.

36   Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren.

37   For with God nothing will be impossible.”

57   Now Elizabeth’s full time came for her to be delivered, and she brought forth a son.

58   When her neighbors and relatives heard how the Lord had shown great mercy to her, they rejoiced with her.

The Shunamite Woman

9     And she said to her husband, “Look now, I know that this is a holy man of God, who passes by us regularly.

10   Please, let us make a small upper room on the wall; and let us put a bed for him there, and a table and a chair and a lampstand; so it will be, whenever he comes to us, he can turn in there.”

11   And it happened one day that he came there, and he turned in to the upper room and lay down there.

12   Then he said to Gehazi his servant, “Call this Shunammite woman.” When he had called her, she stood before him.

13   And he said to him, “Say now to her, ‘Look, you have been concerned for us with all this care. What can I do for you? Do you want me to speak on your behalf to the king or to the commander of the army?’ ” She answered, “I dwell among my own people.”

14   So he said, “What then is to be done for her?” And Gehazi answered, “Actually, she has no son, and her husband is old.”

15   So he said, “Call her.” When he had called her, she stood in the doorway.

16   Then he said, “About this time next year you shall embrace a son.” And she said, “No, my lord. Man of God, do not lie to your maidservant!”

17   But the woman conceived, and bore a son when the appointed time had come, of which Elisha had told her.

18   And the child grew. Now it happened one day that he went out to his father, to the reapers.

19   And he said to his father, “My head, my head!” So he said to a servant, “Carry him to his mother.”

20   When he had taken him and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.

21   And she went up and laid him on the bed of the man of God, shut the door upon him, and went out.

Who was barren got child from a prophecy but the child died soon after at a tender age. She refuse ‘no for an answer.

Has your vision died before it even lived? Trust God for resurrection.

Feast in the Time of Famine

Feast in the Time of Famine

Look what the Lord has done

Feast in the time of Famine

Rivers in the desert

Way in the wilderness.

What a picture of His works!

For the redeemed of the Lord

For the ransomed, blood-bought

Restoration from the Lord.

I will do something new

Forget the former things

It shall soon spring forth

Rejoice even before you see.

See with the eyes of faith

Prepare for the harvest

The Fields of the Lord are white

But the labourers are few.

18   Then the LORD will be zealous for His land, And pity His people.

19   The LORD will answer and say to His people, ” Behold, I will send you grain and new wine and oil, And you will be satisfied by them; I will no longer make you a reproach among the nations.

20   ” But I will remove far from you the northern army, And will drive him away into a barren and desolate land, With his face toward the eastern sea And his back toward the western sea; His stench will come up, And his foul odor will rise, Because he has done monstrous things.”

21   Fear not, O land; Be glad and rejoice, For the LORD has done marvelous things!

22   Do not be afraid, you beasts of the field; For the open pastures are springing up, And the tree bears its fruit; The fig tree and the vine yield their strength.

23   Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in the LORD your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you — The former rain, And the latter rain in the first month.

24   The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, And the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil.

25   ” So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.

26   You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the LORD your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame.

27   Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the LORD your God And there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame.

28   ” And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.

29   And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.

30   ” And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke.

31   The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.

32   And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As the LORD has said, Among the remnant whom the LORD calls.

To Become a Good Servant

To Become a Good Servant

You have to be adamant

In your pursuit for the good

Making it your daily food.

Delight daily in the Light,

Marching forward in His Might.

Feed frequently from God’s Hand

To enter your Promised Land

Dare to obey His command

Against the grain take your stand

Feed your faith and not your fear

Knowing always that He‘s near.

Start spending time in the word,

Doing what you have heard,

Renewing your energy,

Praying with importunity,

And becoming fighting fit,

His armament in your kit.

Pass on the baton to yours

Before you always, the cross

Rise up as a tree of life

And through your life giving life.

Drink of the Spirit’s fountain,

So momentum you maintain

Hope in the God of Hope

Even when you’re on the rope.

Fight, take on that Goliath

The mad phoney foe fromGath.

Know that God is on your side

Stand, no matter what betide.

A Good Servant of Jesus Christ

6     If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed.

7     But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness.

8     For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.

9     This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance.

10   For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.

11   These things command and teach.
