Gospel CHEERS (1) (Saviour Shall Come) by (Fenny West)
Gospel CHEERS (1) Wipe the Corona tears with some gospel cheers
Saviour Shall Come
21 And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the Lord’s. Obadiah1:21
We are blessed to be a blessing, like Abraham (Gen12:2). God knows why we are here at such a time as this when the world is going through such turbulence, uncertainty, fear and desperation. Esther realised she was raised for the time she found herself and rose up to the challenge, stepped up to the plate and saved her nation who were under a threat of annihilation. We are in similar times and even more serious as the whole world is under siege. (Esther 4:14)
Nehemiah also stood in the gap for his nation and God used him to rebuild the nation in disrepair and despair. ( Neh1-6)
We need to be encouraged and be confident that He has prepared us for these desperate end-times. This is a time for us to shine like never before. It is not by might, nor by power but by His Spirit Who dwells in us. ( Zach 4:6)
In Isaiah 60:1-2, He enjoined us to “Arise, shine!” Because our light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon us. He said there will be gross darkness in the land, but the darker the night, the brighter we will shine.
God wants us to be saviours in our cities, communities, villages and nations especially in these times of fear, depression, death and destruction. We must bring hope amidst seeming hopelessness. Let us remember Abraham who against hope believed in Hope. He interceded for Lot and saved him. (Gen18:22-19:29)
Despite the deadness of Sarah’s womb and his age (99), he refused to stagger in unbelief, but gave glory to God. He must have affirmed, built up and complemented Sarah, “Honey you are looking wonderful, youthful and endearing!”
She may have found it difficult to believe, she still had the hope to conceive at 89, but he kept on building her up until she believed it and became pregnant and gave birth to Isaac. ( Rom4:20-21,Gen21:1-7)
Similarly, we have been called for such a time as this to bring hope amidst hopelessness in our communities, cities and nation. Let’s bring some good news cheer in the midst of the CONVID19 gloom and doom, death and destruction occasioned on innocent lives, livelihood and businesses. Children cannot play as usual, everybody is a suspect, “Does he have it?” Does she have it? “
Nevertheless, we are the light of the world. Let’s let our lights so shine that men see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven. We are the salt of the earth. Let’s spread a flavour and savour of goodness and good news. (Matt5:13-16)
Some are looking for scapegoats and pointing the finger here and there- playing the blame game like Adam and Eve. Let’s not partake in it.
Let’s pray without ceasing for God to have mercy on our land. Let’s be the sanitisers of our time by the power of the Holy Spirit. Let’s be the city on the hill that cannot be hidden. We have a God of Hope. He is not taken by surprise by what is happening and He cares. He will intervene if we intercede. He has willed the earth to us as custodians. We have authority here on earth and whatever we allow on earth will be allowed in heaven. And whatever we disallow or bind on earth will be disallowed or bound in heaven.
( Matt16:18-19)
He will not force Himself on us. This is the Church Age. The Name of Jesus is powerful all the time. Let’s believe it and invoke it and turn the tide of evil, dispel the blanket of fear and halt the decimation and blighting of lives.( Phil2:9-11, Acts3:1-7,Acts4:12, Mark16:17-18)
It is a spiritual warfare. Let’s put on the whole armour of God (Ephe6:10-18)
We need the Helmet of Salvation for protecting our minds from every negativity, fear and foreboding.
We need Breastplate of Righteousness, being the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, we can stand in the gap like Abraham did, like Nehemiah did, like Daniel did, like Esther did.
We need the Belt of Truth for exposing all the lies of the enemy at this time.
Above all we badly need the shield of faith with which to quench every fiery dart of the enemy. We need to tell people with confidence, knowing Whom we have believed that, “We will pull through together. All hope is not lost despite the bad news everywhere.” We need to counsel people to limit the diet of fear and hopelessness because it weakens their immune system.
With God all things are possible. Let’s have faith in God. Through our God we shall do valiantly. Without faith it is impossible to please God. We walk by faith and not by sight.
We need the shoes of the gospel in this fight. Let’s look for the good things God is doing even at this time and spread it like wild fire. Let’s blow it like a beacon of hope. Let us unashamedly testify of God’s goodness.
Oh how we need to go beyond the defensive weapons and wield the Sword of the Spirit which the Word of God!
This is a time to use the Word- Sword, like never before against the adversary, like Jesus did, “It is written if God be for us who can be against us? It is written, No weapon fashioned against us shall prosper. It is written” When the enemy comes like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will raise a standard against him. It is said, “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the Word of their testimony, that they loved not their lives unto death. Satan back off! It is written,” The Kingdom of God sufferers violence but the violent take it by force.” We cast you out of our cities, countries. We take back our businesses. We take back our health, we take back our joy, we take back our streets, we take back our social life in the Name of Jesus. Amen. ( Matt4:4,Rom8:31, Isa54:17, Isa59:19,, Rev12:11, Matt11:12
If My People… ( by Fenny West)
If My People…

If my people
Who are called by my Name
Shall humble themselves and pray
And seek my face and turn from their wicked ways,
then will I hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sins and will heal their land.
Oh Lord, Your people who are called by Your Name,
do humble ourselves and pray and
seek Your face and turn from our wicked ways.
Oh Lord, hear from heaven
and Lord forgive our sins
and Lord heal our land.
To end
Oh Lord, hear from heaven and Lord forgive our sins and Lord heal our land.
Oh Lord, hear from heaven and Lord forgive our sins and Lord heal our land.
Oh Lord, hear from heaven and Lord forgive our sins and Lord heal our land.
14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
2Chro7:14
30 So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. Ezek 22:30
15 Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” Ps50:15
3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’
Jer33:3
7 And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?
1 Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,
7 And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?
8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”Luke18:1,
4 So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.
5 And I said: “I pray, LORD God of heaven, O great and awesome God, You who keep Your covenant and mercy with those who love You and observe Your commandments,
6 please let Your ear be attentive and Your eyes open, that You may hear the prayer of Your servant which I pray before You now, day and night, for the children of Israel Your servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel which we have sinned against You. Both my father’s house and I have sinned.
7 We have acted very corruptly against You, and have not kept the commandments, the statutes, nor the ordinances which You commanded Your servant Moses.
8 Remember, I pray, the word that You commanded Your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations;
9 but if you return to Me, and keep My commandments and do them, though some of you were cast out to the farthest part of the heavens, yet I will gather them from there, and bring them to the place which I have chosen as a dwelling for My name.’
10 Now these are Your servants and Your people, whom You have redeemed by Your great power, and by Your strong hand.
11 O Lord, I pray, please let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants who desire to fear Your name; and let Your servant prosper this day, I pray, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man.” For I was the king’s cupbearer. Neh1:4-11
4 And I prayed to the LORD my God, and made confession, and said, “O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments,
5 we have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments.
Dan9:4-5
Watching and Praying ( by Fenny West)
Watching and praying
Will ward off the foe,
Keep you from straying,
Wherever you go.
Pray without ceasing;
For this is God’s will,
Season after season
Through prayer storms are stilled.
God gives grace for interceding.
Let’s use it to bridge the gap.
Praying keeps us standing
Whilst plugging holes in gaps.
Pray undoes the enemy’s plan
It sets his camp on fire
And assuages God’s plan
So that you don’t tire or retire.
Prayer will keep us focused
On our mission and vision
It will turn our minus into plus.
Enable us run our race to completion.
Praying repels temptation
And keeps you in contention
To overcome every opposition.
So pray in every situation.
38 Watch and pray , lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing , but the flesh is weak.”

Persevering in Persecution
Persevering in Persecution
We Will Win the War on Our Knees
I got this text message yesterday:
“Please pray4 the 22 Christian Missionaries families that will be executed by Islamists in Afghanistan Please Pass as fast as u can so that many will pray! PLEASE.”
Then in my research I found out the following:
“The Islamist agenda to bring Nigeria under the ‘House of Islam’ versus the election of a southern Christian as President has caused much unrest. The Islamist group, Boko Haram, has claimed the lives of at least 800 Christians. The decisions of local government, especially in the twelve northern Sharia states, mean that Christians experience restrictions in schooling, threats of abduction, forced marriage, as well as denial of employment, clean water and healthcare. It is
dangerous to convert and for churches to integrate new converts.
The future does not look bright with emerging links between al-Qaeda in the Maghreb and Boko Haram making more violent persecution likely.”
Please Pray:
Give thanks that believers are responding to recent pressure with increased prayer, evangelism and care for MBBs
That Christian youths will resist the temptation to respond with violence to Muslim attacks
For Open Doors workers providing emergency support and trauma counseling to victims of attacks.
http://www.opendoorsuk.org/resources/worldwatch/nigeria_north.php
“ Boko Haram, an Islamist extremist group persecuting Christians in Nigeria, has been linked to terrorist cells in Mali. Since Boko Haran began its armed insurgency against the government in Nigerian, over3000 people have been murdered. Many of Boko Haram’s victims are Christians. Boko Haram believes that Northern Nigeria should be a separate Islamist state where the strict form of Sharia Law should be implemented. As Boko continues to fight for an Islamist state, Christian continue to be convenient targets.”
http://www.persecution.org/2013/01/18/security-forces-link-christian-persecution-in-nigeria-to-terrorist-cells-in-mali/
Persecution of Christians is real and rife in Nigeria and in many Islamist countries and we in the west need to wake up from slumber. We need to treasure our freedom to worship and read the Bible and not take it for granted.
We should uphold our brethren who under the line of fire in prayer like the early Christians did.
Peter Freed from Prison
5 Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.Acts12:
Let us pray that those persecuted will remain courageous and radiate the glory of the Lord such that their persecutors will be convicted and converted as it happened with Paul and Silas.
23 And when they had laid many stripes on them, they threw them into prison, commanding the jailer to keep them securely.
24 Having received such a charge, he put them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks.
The Philippian Jailer Saved
25 But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.
26 Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.
27 And the keeper of the prison, awaking from sleep and seeing the prison doors open, supposing the prisoners had fled, drew his sword and was about to kill himself.
28 But Paul called with a loud voice, saying, “Do yourself no harm, for we are all here.”
29 Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas.
30 And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house.
33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized.
34 Now when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them; and he rejoiced, having believed in God with all his household. Acts16
Pray that those persecuted will be so bold that their persecutors will acknowledge that they have been with Jesus.
The Name of Jesus Forbidden
13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.
14 And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.
15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,
16 saying, “What shall we do to these men? For, indeed, that a notable miracle has been done through them is evident to all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it.
17 But so that it spreads no further among the people, let us severely threaten them, that from now on they speak to no man in this name.”
18 So they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.
19 But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge.
20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.”
21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way of punishing them, because of the people, since they all glorified God for what had been done.
22 For the man was over forty years old on whom this miracle of healing had been performed.
Pray that, like the early Christians were jolted and fired up to pray ‘dangerous’ prayers, we too will rise up and intercede and fight on our knees, realising the Church is the only army that wins wars on its knees.
Prayer for Boldness
23 And being let go, they went to their own companions and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.
24 So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: “Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them,
25 who by the mouth of Your servant David have said: ‘ Why did the nations rage, And the people plot vain things?
26 The kings of the earth took their stand, And the rulers were gathered together Against the LORD and against His Christ.’
27 “For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together
28 to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done.
29 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word,
30 by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”
31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
Acts4:23-31
Persecution of Christianity
Is Prevalent, rising, real and rife
So intercede with importunity
For the Lord to use it for His will.
May Christians be jolted from slumber
And begin do battle on their knees
And see an increase in their number
That the name of the Lord will be exalted.
May persecution spread the gospel
Causing the Church to expand her land
As the saints are not afraid to tell
The Good news of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We can see how persecution worked for the early Church
Acts 8: Saul Persecutes the Church
1 Now Saul was consenting to his death. At that time a great persecution arose against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.
2 And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.
3 As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering every house, and dragging off men and women, committing them to prison.
Christ Is Preached in Samaria
4 Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word.
5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them.
6 And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.
7 For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed.
8 And there was great joy in that city.
It can happen again as we pray trust the Lord to use us in a special way in these times.
Paul was breathing murder and causing havoc but God arrested him as he was on his way to arrest torture and imprison Christians. And what more? He who was the greatest enemy of the Gospel became its greatest champion, propagator and trophy and wrote 13 best-sellers of all-time.

Those who are Much Anointed are Also Much Afflicted
Those who are Much Anointed Are also Much Afflicted
Mourning Warren
Those who are much anointed are also much afflicted. This is certainly very true of David who was anointed three times for the same position. He was forgotten on the day of his ordination. And on the day of his show- down with Goliath, which was to mark a turning point in his life, his brothers opposed him. Then King Saul found it hard to believe his testimonies until hard-pressed.
After mauling Goliath and cutting off his head and tuning the light on for Israel, little David court the displeasure, anger and jealousy of King Saul because some women sang a silly song that Saul killed his thousand but David killed ten thousand. So he who was a hero, quickly turned a zero before Saul and became a fugitive. At one time David even feigned madness as to take cover amongst the Philistines to prevent Saul ending his life prematurely.
Yet God was with him and was preparing him for reigning eventually.
David in all these, was wise in his conduct. Little wonder he was called “a man after the heart of God.” He refused to kill the King even when he had the opportunity.
He was crowned King in the fullness of time when he was 30. However, his son (Absolom) overthrew him and he had to run for his dear life. This was a son whom he had forgiven for killing his brother.
Against this background, we have just heard of that Matthew Warren, the 27th year old son of Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Valley Community Church in Lake Forest, California, died recently. He committed suicide in a sudden turn of events after a time of fun with his parents. In a tweet, Pastor Rick said those who were close to them knew he struggled with mental illness, dark holes of depression and suicidal tendencies.
For those who are acquainted with Rick Warren would know that he is an incredibly gifted teacher and pastor.
It is a sad loss of the life of a young man with a great promise. May the Lord comfort the family as only He can in this difficult time. Truly the much anointed is also much afflicted. But Jesus is Lord in all circumstances. His grace is sufficient for us in all that we go through. We do not have the answer in all circumstances. But He does and He knows best.
Let us uphold the family in prayers at this very trying moment of loss.
I Rest My Case With You
I Rest my Case with You
I rest my case with You
O Faithful and True
You’re able to do
More than I can think
More than I can dream
More than I can expect
I rest my case with You
O Faithful and True.
I rest my case with You
O Faithful and True.
You know more than I do
In You I am secure
I know my future is sure.
Your promises are sure.
I rest my case with You
O Faithful and True.
I rest my case with You
O Faithful and True.
I know you know my end
Even from my beginning.
All Your ways are just
For those you have made just.
I rest my case with You
O Faithful and True.
I rest my case with You
O Faithful and True.
I know You are there
And know that You care
You will not lose my case
As I look to Your Face.
I rest my case with You
O Faithful and True.
1 John 2:
1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
24 But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood.
25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
Heb7:25
26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Rm8:26-28

Fight for Your Company (by Fenny West)
Fight for Your Company
Fight for your company
Enslaved by principalities.
Fight for your family.
Fight for your people
In great battle-debacle,
In a great struggle.
Fight for your nation
In incarceration
Fight in the Spirit
Fight till God visits.
Not with carnal weapons
But with divine weapons
Stand in the gap
Go from lap to lap
Stand despite the storm
Till God’s light comes.
Stand against wickedness
Stand against blindness
Stand against bondage
Stand against tutelage
Stand against ignorance
Stand against false confidence
Stand against imprisonment
Of the soul and spirit.
11 And after him was Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. The Philistines had gathered together into a troop where there was a piece of ground full of lentils. So the people fled from the Philistines.
12 But he stationed himself in the middle of the field, defended it, and killed the Philistines. So the LORD brought about a great victory.2 Sam23:11-12
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
2Cor10:3-5
1Tim6:12
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses
2Tim4:7
7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
. 18 This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare,

In Praying for Others
In Praying for Others
In praying for others
We too are well watered
Because we sow a seed
Which sprouts to meet our needs.
So let’s stand in the gap
In spite of our mishap
And others reach, lift up
In doing so, fill their cup.
Take pleasure in the Church
Help her shine as the torch
Be part of her- her stone
Her pillar – living stone.
Let us all watch and pray
And God will make a way
And turn crooked path straight
Open any locked gates.
Psalm 102:13, 14:
Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time is come. For Thy servants rake pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof.
A selfish man in trouble is exceedingly hard to comfort, because the springs of his comfort entirely within himself, and when he is sad all his springs are dry. But a large-hearted man full of Christian philanthropy, has other springs from which to supply himself with comfort beside those which lie within. He can go to his God first of all, and there find abundant help; and he can discover arguments for consolation in things relating to the world at large, to his country, and, above all, to the church. David in this Psalm was exceedingly sorrowful; he wrote, “I am like an owl of the desert, I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top.” The only way in which he could comfort himself, was in the reflection that God would arise, and have mercy upon Zion: though he was sad, yet Zion should prosper; however low his own estate, yet Zion should arise. Christian man! learn to comfort thyself in God’s gracious dealing towards the church. That which is so dear to thy Master, should it not be dear above all else to thee? What though thy way be dark, canst thou not gladden thine heart with the triumphs of His cross and the spread of His truth? Our own personal troubles are forgotten while we look, not only upon what God has done, and is doing for Zion, but on the glorious things He will yet do for His church. Try this receipt, O believer, whenever thou art sad of heart and in heaviness of spirit: forget thyself and thy little concerns, and seek the welfare and prosperity of Zion. When thou bendest thy knee in prayer to God, limit not thy petition to the narrow circle of thine own life, tried though it be, but send out thy longing prayers for the church’s prosperity, “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem,” and thine own soul shall be refreshed.
