When God Visits You(1) ( by Fenny West)

When God Visits You(1)

When God visits you
He’ll open your eyes
To see the greatness in you,
Causing you to rise
And possess your possession.

When God visits you,
He’ll change your story
From breakthrough to breakthrough;
Grant you untold victory.

When God visits you,
Unbelievers will know;
Believers will know;
Your adversaries will know;
Your victory will be noised abroad.

Isaiah 60: The Gentiles Bless Zion
1 Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.
2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.
3 The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.
4 ” Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather together, they come to you; Your sons shall come from afar, And your daughters shall be nursed at your side.
5 Then you shall see and become radiant, And your heart shall swell with joy; Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.

Fixing Your Focus ( by Fenny West)

Fixing Your Focus

Fixing your Focus
Requires discipline;
When you’re single-minded
Like Mary who focused on Jesus;
Like Paul who forgot the past
And looked to what was ahead
And pressed on for Mark
Of the prize 🏆 of the High Calling.

Fixing your Focus.
Requires full attention
And determination
Avoiding distraction,
Like Nehemiah,
Refusing to give in to
Sanballat, Tobiah
And others cohorts.

Fixing Your Focus
Requires imitation
Of the Master
Who defied vilification
And the crucifixion.
And prayed for His enemies
And bore the shame and pain
For the purpose, He was born.

Fixing  your focus
When seeking God’s face
Will bring His grace
And divine Direction.
The Holy Spirit will
Give you instruction
Guidance and counsel
As He speaks to you.

Hebrews 12:2
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Nehemiah 6:4
“Yet they sent unto me four times after this sort; and I answered them after the same manner.”

1 Corinthians 9:27
“But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.”

2     that Sanballat and Geshem sent to me, saying, “Come, let us meet together among the villages in the plain of Ono.” But they thought to do me harm.

3     So I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and go down to you?”

4     But they sent me this message four times, and I answered them in the same manner.

5     Then Sanballat sent his servant to me as before, the fifth time, with an open letter in his hand.

Divine Direction Delivers ( by Fenny West)

Divine Direction Delivers

Your inheritance to you;

Opens your eyes to see,

Where you ought to go,

With whom you should deal,

What you should do,

And how to do what to do.

Divine Direction Delivers

Prophetic word to you,

That makes your path shine

Ever brighter to the full light of Day;

Makes you go from glory to glory

From strength to strength

and From faith to faith.

Divine Direction delivers

You from the devil’s trap;

The snare of the fowler

Like the bird from the net

Delivers your feet from the miry clay

Brings you into a new and glorious day.

21            Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ” This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left.Isa30:21

32            “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.Acts20:32

4     And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.

John10:4

14            Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom; I am understanding, I have strength.Prov8:14

18   But the path of the just is like the shining sun, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.Prov4:18

2     He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.

3     He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.

 Goals Stretch  Your Faith ( by Rick Warren)

Goals Stretch Your Faith
by Rick Warren

“According to your faith let it be done to you.” (Matthew 9:29b NIV)

Every time you set a goal, you are saying, “I believe God wants me to do this by ‘such and such’ a date,” and that is a statement of faith.

If you state a big goal, God will work in a big way. If you state a medium-size goal, God will work in a medium way. If you state a small goal, God will work in a small way.

So you can see how goals stretch your faith. They affirm that you trust God, but they are also statements of how much you trust God. The Bible says, “According to your faith let it be done to you” (Matthew 9:29b NLT).

This means that no goal is really a goal by default. In other words, if you don’t set a goal, you’ve already set it, and the goal is to stay the same.

See how this works:

  • When I ask you, “What’s your goal for your health,” and you say, “I don’t have one,” then your goal is to stay the same.
  • When I ask you, “What’s your goal in your relationships,” and you say, “I don’t have one,” then your goal is for them not to get any better.
  • When I ask you, “What’s your goal for your finances and getting out of debt,” and you say, “I don’t have one,” then your goal is to stay in debt.
  • When I ask you, “What’s your goal for your business career, and you say, “I don’t have one,” then your goal is to just drift along.

That’s why the Bible teaches us to have goals. They are a spiritual discipline. They challenge our faith. They develop our character, and they build our hope.

Talk It Over

  • How do your goals reveal how much you trust God to do big things in your life?
  • In what area have you neglected to set a goal?
  • What goal will you set today so that you are continually growing in every area of your life?

God Guides with His Word ( Don& Dawn)

safe in the ark hope in the Lord it's not over till he says so back on the ground healing rising with healing in wings God's guidance6 God's guidance7 evidence divine direction1

Recently, I read an inspiring story and I want to share it to you:

A young pilot had just passed the point of no return when the weather changed for the worse. Visibility dropped to a matter of feet as fog descended to the earth.

Putting total trust in the cockpit instruments was a new experience to him, for the ink was still wet on the certificate verifying that he was qualified for instrument flying.

The landing worried him the most. His destination was a crowded metropolitan airport he wasn’t familiar with.

In a few minutes he would be in radio contact with the tower. Until then, he was alone with his thoughts.

His instructor had practically forced him to memorize the rulebook. He didn’t care for it at the time, but now he was thankful.

Finally he heard the voice of the air traffic controller. “I’m going to put you on a holding pattern,” the controller radioed. Great! thought the pilot.

However, he knew that his safe landing was in the hands of this person. He had to draw upon his previous instructions and training, and trust the voice of an air traffic controller he couldn’t see.

Aware that this was no time for pride, he informed the controller, “This is not a seasoned pro up here. I would appreciate any help you could give me.”

“You’ve got it!” he heard back.

For the next 45 minutes, the controller gently guided the pilot through the blinding fog.

As course and altitude corrections came periodically, the young pilot realized the controller was guiding him around obstacles and away from potential collisions.

With the words of the rulebook firmly placed in his mind, and with the gentle voice of the controller, he landed safely at last.

The Holy Spirit guides us through the maze of life much like that air traffic controller.

The controller assumed that the young pilot understood the instructions of the flight manual. His guidance was based on that.

Such is the case with the Holy Spirit: He can guide us if we have knowledge of God’s Word and His will established in our minds.

So don’t ignore the power of scripture memorization.

This discipline alone can lead you to greater heights of your faith in God. And there’s no better time to begin memorizing Bible verses but today

crossroad

Don’t be like the horse or mule that needs bits and bridles to control. Yield to Me. Be malleable and flexible in My hands and I will lead you in the right path. You will hear a word behind you saying, this is the way, walk in it. Do not swerve to the left or the right. Make level paths for your feet. My Child pay attention to my word. Listen closely to what I say. (Ps32:8-9)

The path of the righteous shines ever brighter unto a perfect day.  ( Prov4:18)I am the Good Shepherd. I know your destination. I know how you should get there. I see the end from the beginning. Follow my leading even if you do not see my hand your can trust my heart. Faith in Me is not a leap in the dark. It is trusting in the way Maker who is all-wise, makes impossible possible, gives strange, ridiculous instructions which bring about the miraculous.

In the face of the raging sea I instructed Moses to use his rod and you know what happened? Ex14:13-16,21-22)

 In the midst of lack of water, I told him to strike the rock and he obey and water came out.( EX17:6) When they were thirsty again but found only bitter water I instructed him again to cut a tree branch and throw into the river and you know what happened, spring water sprang up and their thirst was quenched.

When the children of Israel disobeyed God and were bitten by the snakes, God instructed Moses to make a bronze serpent and put it on a pole and whoever looked at it was made well. What an instruction! Moses had to obey it whether or not he understood it.

When Jesus arrived at the house of Mary and Martha after delaying till Lazarus died, he instructed them to roll away the stone and when they did their part He did His part and raised back their dead dream. Similarly you have to do what you have been told to do and you will experience miracles. When wine ran out at the marriage feast His mother told the servants to do what they are told. And strangely Jesus told them to fill the pots with water. They obeyed regardless of how ridiculous it sounded. And what happened? The water was turned into wine. And not just another wine, but the best wine came when the party was nearly over. It is not over until Jesus says so.  He can give a brand New Beginning even in your old age.

Peter was invited to come and wall on water with Jesus. He obeyed He dared attempt a great thing for God and he did. He was also told to launch into the deep after they had told all night and caught nothing. But when they obeyed their catch was so much that their boat was about to sink. They had to beg others to come and help them harvest the catch.

General Naaman came for healing at Elisha’s residence. He though because he was a general, Elisha will run out and roll out a red carpet. He was highly disappointed when Elisha simply sent a servant to go and tell Naaman to go and deep in the river in Samaria seven times. He was furious that Elisha did not come and do some acrobatics bit sent him not even to a river in his hometown but to what he considered a lesser degenerate place. His advisers counselled him to humble himself and do what he was told. He did and his body was as fresh as that of a baby.

 A blind man came for healing and Jesus spat on the floor, made a paste with it and rubbed it on his eye and told him to go and wash in the pool of Siloam. He did and came back seeing. There were ten leper who came for healing and Jesus told them to go and show themselves to the priest and take an offering. Granting that they were still blind, the instruction was absurd, but they obey and as they went they received their healing. (John9:7,11)

On another occasion Jesus met a man that had been crippled for 38 years and told him to take up his bed and walk, he obeyed and he walked.

Peter and John met that crippled man at the Gate Beautiful and told him, what you want- silver and gold, we do not have but what we have and what you need, we have, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Rise up and walk. The man looked at Peter an John cross-eyed.  Peter wasted no time but bent down and raised him up and as he touched him =, his ankle boned received revival power surging through his bones alike electricity and he leap up and down praising God for his healing.

Abraham was told to leave his comfort zone- his clan, country, people to a place God would show him. God did not give him the specific place he was going. But we were told Abraham departed immediately. That is a walk of faith and we are told four times in the scriptures, ’The just shall live by faith.’ I don’t know of any other scripture that was repeated four times.(Gen12:1-4,Rom1:17, Hab.2:4, Heb10:38, Gal3:11)We walk by faith and not by sight. 2Cor5:7. Faith comes by hearing  the word of God. God instructs us through His word.  When we come to his word we need to be attentive and take it as God speaking to us as we read it or meditate on it. Often a portion of the scripture will jump at us or be magnified or underlined or reinforced.  That is God speaking.  God uses any means He chooses but we know that whatever means He uses must line up with His word, because He is not an Author of confusion.  He will not tell you to do anything contrary to His word. ( Num23:19, Heb6:18, Isa53:10-11,Jer1:12, Ps119:89,105,130)
