Is This a Down Fall?

After he rose tall

Is this a down fall?.

It’s jus like Saul;

Lesson for us all.

After the victory

Beware the Valley

Near, in the alley

That floor many.

It can be you

Can be me too

If you are careless

If I am careless.

So friend beware

Of the snare that’s there

To rubbish your win

Dump it in the bin.

No one is immune

Me or even you

Avoid the ruin

That comes so soon.

You have an enemy

Often i-ni-me

He live in you

And that is true.

He is called, Flesh

Allowed, he will thrash

Defeat the New Man

The inward man.

So hold tight your nerve

Flesh, do not serve

Finish very well

The Gospel tell.

It can happen to

any man

Any woman

Any company

Any celebrity

Any business

Any actress.

Mind the yawning gap

After the victory lap

Waiting to floor

the joy in store.

²⁶   “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath,
