Be Ruled By the Word

Be Ruled By the Word.

Let it saturated your mind;

Permeate you through and through.

Let it govern your thoughts.

Be controlled by the Word.

Let it be your desire and diet.

Let it be your craving and music.

Be addicted to it day and night.

Be enamoured by the Word.

Let it be your medicine and joy.

Let it be your light and assurance.

See it as more than gold-a great spoil.

Accept what the Word says of you.

Continually declare it, no matter what.

Continually meditate on it.

Continually and quickly do what it says.

4 But He answered and said , “It is written , ‘Man shall not live by bread alone , but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ” Matt4:4 8

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth , but you shall meditate in it day and night , that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous , and then you will have good success. Jos1:8

6 “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children , and shall talk of them when you sit in your house , when you walk by the way , when you lie down , and when you rise up. Deut6:6-7

Blessedness of burning

For the Bread of Life

Is long-running

and unassuming.

It brings true life

And true living.

Yes, brings Life to your life.

It brings heaven on earth.

It brings the sun to your day,

The dew to your flower

Joy to your soul

Peace that is boundless.

Famine will banished

And you will flourish

bringing abundant fruit.

You will be a well-watered garden

And a vessel meet for the Master’s use.

Your aroma will ooze all over.

Your fragrance will be magnetic.

As you become enigmatic.

You will have stability

Serenity, reliability and durability

Security, and even longevity.

So, burn for the Bread of Life.

Let Him satisfy your hunger.

Let Him clothe your nakedness.

Let Him Shine on you.

Let Him make you His light

That shines in darkness

Dispels darkness, rebukes darkness

Rebuffs darkness and unveils divinity.

He Provides Where He Presides

“And his allowance was a continual allowance given him of the king, a daily rate for every day, all the days of his life.” 2 Kings 25:30

Jehoiachin was not sent away from the king’s palace with a store to last him for months, but his provision was given him as a daily pension. Herein he well pictures the happy position of all the Lord’s people. A daily portion is all that a man really wants. We do not need tomorrow’s supplies; that day has not yet dawned, and its wants are as yet unborn. The thirst which we may suffer in the month of June does not need to be quenched in February, for we do not feel it yet; if we have enough for each day as the days arrive we shall never know want. Sufficient for the day is all that we can enjoy. We cannot eat or drink or wear more than the day’s supply of food and raiment; the surplus gives us the care of storing it, and the anxiety of watching against a thief. One staff aids a traveller, but a bundle of staves is a heavy burden. Enough is not only as good as a feast, but is all that the greatest glutton can truly enjoy. This is all that we should expect; a craving for more than this is ungrateful. When our Father does not give us more, we should be content with his daily allowance. Jehoiachin’s case is ours, we have a sure portion, a portion given us of the king, a gracious portion, and a perpetual portion. Here is surely ground for thankfulness.

Beloved Christian reader, in matters of grace you need a daily supply. You have no store of strength. Day by day must you seek help from above. It is a very sweet assurance that a daily portion is provided for you. In the word, through the ministry, by meditation, in prayer, and waiting upon God you shall receive renewed strength. In Jesus all needful things are laid up for you. Then enjoy your continual allowance. Never go hungry while the daily bread of grace is on the table of mercy.

Wealth and Worth of the Word

So, so, incredible, indescribable

Surpasses anything you have heard

Contents of its vault: unbelievable!

Compass for navigating life on earth

Shoes of the Gospel to proclaim peace

Belt of truth, so you can every lie unearth

Breastplate of right-standing so you’re at ease.

Helmet to cover your mind from evil thoughts

The sword of the spirit to cut down demonic trees

Shield of faith to quench flaming arrows of doubt

Lamp for you to shine so that you can clearly see.

Water- liquid gold- more than silver and gold

Music to delight your soul and inspire you

Food for you to eat, grow in grace, till you’re old

Breath of fresh air, to breathe as to energise you.

Bed to lie down on and feel comfortable

Teacher-the Holy Spirit- to standby and strengthen

Guide, help, revive, recreate, restore, make you able,

Rise above obstacles, on eagle’s wings;

keep you on top of the table.

Clock for timing in everything; milk and meat.

Oil to make your face shine, oil your engine,

As you walk along the narrow road that leads to life.

Marriage Certificate, announcing your covenant with God.

Fire to refine you so that you come forth like gold.

Burial ground to bury your sins after you confess them.

Acquittal Certificate that declares your freedom

And sets you up gloriously for adoption,

Blood of Christ, to cover and wash away all your guilt.

Red light to warn you to wait: ‘Danger ahead!’

Green light to tell you that the way is free: ‘Go ahead!’

Epistles and love letters authored by the Holy Spirit,

To renew your mind and lift your spirit.

Green pastures and still waters to quench your thirst

And encourage you in your heavenly quest.

Divine spectacles for you to see things God’s way,

And prevent you from going astray.

Fishing net to equip you to fish for others

Who are lost, on the broad road and on hell’s borders.

Enemies who push you into our destiny.

Medicine to make you whole when you’re sick.

Good news to thrill and fill, warm and calm you.

Megaphone to announce the Good News,

To correct wayward, erroneous earthly views.

Parchment of God’s commandment.

Dynamite to break hard rocks on your way.

Tonic to pep you up give a fillip when you’re tired

God’s Voice to cheer, counsel and correct

God’s mind to interact with and mind your mind

Different faces and graces of God for His elect

Sweet Rose of Sharon in all places you will find.
