Words Woo or Wound ( by Fenny West)
Words Woo or Wound
War or Warm and Wow

With your words you can upgrade or degrade
With your words you can direct, redirect or misdirect or correct
With your words you can be established
With your words you can stabilise or destabilise
And with your words you can be destroyed
With your words you can propel
With your words you can repel
With your words you can impair
With your words you can inform
With your words you can misinform
With words you can start a war
And with words you can make peace
With your words you can endear
With your words you can harm, damn, tear
With your words you can disintegrate,
With your words you can stimulate
With your words you can break a heart
With your words you can bind a broken heart.
With your words you can build an empire
With your words you can destroy an empire.
With words you can build relationships
And with words you can destroy relationships
With your words you can inspire
With your words you can cause despair
With words you can set ablaze for good
Or set ablaze for evil, separate, cause hate
Life and death are in the power of your words
Choose to speak the right words that will make, not mar
Choose words that will give life to that which is good, not life to evil.
When angry, be wise. Choose to be dumb.
Else poison will ooze out of your mouth and maim or kill
What was built over 10 years can be destroyed in 10 seconds.
He who has no control over his lips is like a city without walls.
Keep corruption and profanity out of your lips.
Counter any wrong thing people say about you. No enchantment or divination against you shall prosper. No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper. Silence every lying tongue that is contrary to the revealed will of God.
There is therefore now, no more Condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the law of sin and death. You have passed from death to life. CHRIST IS YOUR LIFE. CHRIST is a place and in that place, –in His presence- is life forever. In His presence there is no sickness or disease. In His presence is fullness of joy and life forever.
The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They will bring forth fruit even in their old age. They will be fat and Flourishing, (fresh and green), proclaiming: “The Lord is upright. There is no unrighteousness in Him. Their faith is continually made effective because they acknowledge the good things in them. They know who they are in Christ, what they have in Christ and whose they are in Christ. Christ in them is their hope of glory. They decree a thing and it stands. They lay up gold like dust. All things are theirs. They are heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ. As He is, so they are. Principalities and powers are under their feet.
Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. New Living Translation Avoid all perverse talk; stay away from …
24 Put away from you a deceitful mouth, And put perverse lips far from you. Prov4:24KJV
12 Who is the man who desires life, And loves many days, that he may see good?
13 Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking deceit.
Ps34:12-13
Proverbs 18:21 puts it this way: “The tongue has the power of life and death.” The stakes are high. Your words can either speak life, or your words can speak death. Our tongues can build others up, or they can tear them down.
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.
Prov18:21
2 For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.
3 Indeed, we put bits in horses’ mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body.
4 Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires.
5 Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles!
6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.
7 For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind.
8 But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
9 With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God.
10 Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.
11 Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening? James3:2-11
The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. … but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God’s likeness.
James3:
Train your tongue to say what God said
Train your tongue to take sides with God
When you do, your life will go from glory to glory, and from strength to strength.
5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
6 So we may boldly say: ” The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
You will have what you say:
23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
Jabez’s mother said the wrong thing in pain, anguish and depression and she, though dead, affected, constrained, contained, strangulated and hindered Jabez wherever he went until he realised it and broke the curse with what he said in prayer:
9 Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.”
10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.
1Chro4:9-10
He was like a time-bomb wherever he went. Disaster followed him here and there. People avoided him for this reason. His name was a pain and caused pain – not to him but to anyone that dared associate with him. One day he could take it no longer and broke the curse with his prayer. You can do the same.
Hannah broke the curse of barrenness with her prayers. Though words were hardly heard, we know what she prayed for and how she praised when the answer came:
15 But Hannah answered and said, “No, my lord, I am a woman of sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor intoxicating drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD.
16 Do not consider your maidservant a wicked woman, for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief I have spoken until now.”
17 Then Eli answered and said, “Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him.”
18 And she said, “Let your maidservant find favor in your sight.” So the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad.
1Sam1:15-18
1 Samuel 2: Hannah’s Prayer
1 And Hannah prayed and said: ” My heart rejoices in the LORD; My horn is exalted in the LORD. I smile at my enemies, Because I rejoice in Your salvation.
2 ” No one is holy like the LORD, For there is none besides You, Nor is there any rock like our God.
3 ” Talk no more so very proudly; Let no arrogance come from your mouth, For the LORD is the God of knowledge; And by Him actions are weighed.
4 ” The bows of the mighty men are broken, And those who stumbled are girded with strength.
5 Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread, And the hungry have ceased to hunger. Even the barren has borne seven, And she who has many children has become feeble.
6 ” The LORD kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and brings up.
7 The LORD makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up.
8 He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the beggar from the ash heap, To set them among princes And make them inherit the throne of glory. ” For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’s, And He has set the world upon them.
9 He will guard the feet of His saints, But the wicked shall be silent in darkness. ” For by strength no man shall prevail.
10 The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken in pieces; From heaven He will thunder against them. The LORD will judge the ends of the earth. ” He will give strength to His king, And exalt the horn of His anointed.

Watch Your Words ( by Fenny West)
Watch Your Words
Our words make or mar, can kill or give life; can refresh, inspire or depressor even maim.
Num13: 27-33 The speaking of doubt not only caused fear and depression but majority a people started weeping and lost the promised land died in the wilderness.
27 Then they told him, and said: “We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit.
28 Nevertheless the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there.
29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the South; the Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the mountains; and the Canaanites dwell by the sea and along the banks of the Jordan.
“We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.”
32 And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature.
33 There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”
Num13:27-29,32-33
Numbers 14: Israel Refuses to Enter Canaan
1 So all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night.
2 And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, “If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness!
3 Why has the LORD brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?”
4 So they said to one another, “Let us select a leader and return to Egypt.”
5 Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel.
On the other hand, Joshua and Caleb were inspirational and full of faith and their faith opened the door for them to enter the Promised land.
30 Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”
Num13:30
6 But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had spied out the land, tore their clothes;
7 and they spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying: “The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land.
8 If the LORD delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, ‘a land which flows with milk and honey.’
9 Only do not rebel against the LORD, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the LORD is with us. Do not fear them.”
Num14:6-9
This is how we should be speaking when we are faced with giants or Goliaths and “walls of Jericho”, infernos and lions dens against our family, purpose, finances etc.
God will be proud of us and we will be putting springs in our steps and encouraging angels on our assignment.
14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?
Heb1:14
Caleb continued in his faith-filled talk even after 40 years had elapsed since he received a promise that was still in abeyance. He reminded Joshua when they were about sharing the Promised Land:
“You know the word which the LORD said to Moses the man of God concerning you and me in Kadesh Barnea.
7 I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadesh Barnea to spy out the land, and I brought back word to him as it was in my heart.
8 Nevertheless my brethren who went up with me made the heart of the people melt, but I wholly followed the LORD my God.
9 So Moses swore on that day, saying, ‘Surely the land where your foot has trodden shall be your inheritance and your children’s forever, because you have wholly followed the LORD my God.’
10 And now, behold, the LORD has kept me alive, as He said, these forty-five years, ever since the LORD spoke this word to Moses while Israel wandered in the wilderness; and now, here I am this day, eighty-five years old.
11 As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in.
12 Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the LORD spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and that the cities were great and fortified. It may be that the LORD will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as the LORD said.”
He kept a good record of what the Lord said to Moses and despite the death of Moses, would not let go and reminded Joshua using the record to buttress his case, and he was not denied. Notice that he was prepared to go for the mountain country and he affirmed that he was as strong as he was when the promise was made over 40 years ago. What an attitude and what an affirmation! That is the perspective we should have and the way we should be speaking, regardless of the odds we face. If God is for us, who can be against us?
Little wonder, the Word clearly states:
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof…
So we need to watch what we speak or hear or even what we read. Your word shape your future; they stir the course of your life.
The speech of Mordecai stirred Esther to rise up in faith and fulfil her destiny and saved her nation in diaspora.
13 Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king’s house, more than all the Jews.
14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
Esther’s faith-filled words purred her to delivered, with God on her side.
16 Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish. Esther 4:16
The faith filled words of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego sustained them and moved God on their behalf such that even though they were thrown into the fiery furnace that had been heated seven times hotter than usual, they were set free by the fire and they were unharmed. Their clothes did not smell of smoke and God Himself manifested in the fire and glorified His Name.
16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.
17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. Dan3:16-18
This testimony triggered other testimonies as the pagan king began to praise the living God, and rescinded his decree and promoted their God and promoted those who were falsely accused.
Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.
29 Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.
30 Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, in the province of Babylon.
Dan3:28-30
When the disciples were arrested for preaching the gospel in Acts4, their speech emboldened others, “Should we obey God or man?” This made their persecutors sit up and take notice that they had been with Jesus.
18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.
19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard
Acts4:18-20
Later, when they prayed the Word with passion Boldness and faith, the house they were in shook and they were filled with the Holy Ghost.
21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.
22 For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.
23 And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.
24 And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:
25 Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?
26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.
27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,
28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.
29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,
30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
Acts4:21-31
Paul and Silas were badly beaten, battered and bled and their hands and feet were in chains. However, rather than complain, they encouraged themselves by praising and singing at mid-night. God so enjoyed their praise that He sent an earthquake that rocked the foundations of that prison to set them free. And their disposition after being set free resulted in the salvation of the whole household of the prison warden.
22 And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them.
23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them safely:
24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.
25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.
27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.
29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.
34 And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house. Acts.16:22-34
What you say and how you act (respond) or react can make or mar your future and that of others around you. See the picture God shows you in His word. Take sides with Him by affirming what He says, regardless of what you see or how you feel or what people say or what your adversary says or shows you and you will come back with the boon in your hands.
Speak words that will galvanise the angels assigned to you into action on your behalf. Think before you speak.
Ask yourself:
T– IS IT TRUE, i.e in line with the Word?, it may be factual and yet a lie.
H– is it healthy, will it make you sick or well?
I– is it inspirational or motivational? Is it an injustice?
N– is it noble or nonsensical? Will it affirm, negate or nullify the word? Is it necessary?
K– is it kind; are you trying to off the light of another person to make yours shine?

Wage War with the Word ( by Fenny West)
Wage War with the Word
Waging war with the Word
Is the preserve and domain
of the New Creation;
he who is born again,
born from above,
born of the Spirit,
born of the Word.

Waging war with the Word
is the inheritance of the chosen generation,
the royal priesthood, those who hail from Zion,
those who are kings and priests of God.
Indeed, Where the Word of the king is,
there is power-tremendous power
, dynamic power, preponderant power,
prevalent power, resurrection,
creative, and innovative power.
We speak the mind of God,
take sides with God.
Our minds are renewed with the Word of God,
which is the will of God.
We decree a thing and it stands.
We command and it comes into being.
We do not consider lying vanities
as to forsake our mercies.
We speak the mysteries of God.
We do not come with the enticing words of man’s wisdom
but with the demonstration of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus.
We demonstrate the spiritual power of God with the dynamic,
living, operative and razor-sharp Word of God.
We know we wrestle not against flesh and blood
But against principalities and powers and wicked spirits.
That is why we wage war with the Word of God and the sword of the Spirit.
The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but have divine power to pull down strongholds, casting down every imagination that militates against the revealed will of God.
We wage war with words because as He is, so we are. We speak what we hear Him speak. Our words are not our own but His won and it will not return to Him empty. It will accomplish that which He pleases, prosper in the thing it has been sent to do.
We speak words of life, health, peace, love, prosperity, unity. And as we do the glory of the latter house surpasses the former and we go from glory to glory and from strength to strength.
Fight the Good Fight
18 This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, 19 having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck,
1Tim1:18
12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
1Tim6:12
The Whole Armor of God
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints —
Eph6:10-18
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.
Pro18:21
28 You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways
29 When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.
Job22:29
With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. 10Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. 11Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? 12My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water. James3:9-12
8 The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.”
Isa40:8
20 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings.
21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart;
22 For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.
23 Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.
24 Put away from you a deceitful mouth, And put perverse lips far from you.
Prov4:20-24
Word, Worries, Words
20 Jul 2013 |
THE ANSWER TO YOUR WORRIES |
‘Death and life are in the power of the tongue…’ Proverbs 18:21 |
Your words either work for you or against you. The Bible says, ‘Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.’ The old saying, ‘You’ll eat your words,’ is more than a meaningless cliche, it’s the truth! Jeremiah the prophet writes, ‘Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart…’ (Jeremiah 15:16 NKJV). The Psalmist writes, ‘They cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses (worries). He sent His word and healed them…’ (Psalms 107:19-20 NKJV). God’s Word is the medicine that heals worry. So what God has to say about the issue must be what you have to say about it too, otherwise you’re contradicting Him and disconnecting yourself from the source of all blessing. If you’re wise, you will surround yourself with like-minded people who speak God’s Word into your life, and limit your time with those who have no interest in it. If you want to grow the right kind of fruit, you must have the right climate. And the words you speak (and listen to) determine the climate of your life, the direction in which it goes, and the results you get. There is no ‘secret’ to success. The Bible says that when you learn to ‘meditate day and night’ in God’s Word, you will ‘prosper in all [you do]’ (Psalms 1:1-3 NLT). So the answer to your worries is in God’s Word! |
Think and Talk God’s Thoughts
Think and Talk God’s Thoughts
To take you to the top
Foreordained for you
Before the world began
Before you were conceived.
God blessed you with
Every spiritual blessing
In heavenly places.
He chose you
as His treasured possession;
As His trophy and inheritance.
He loves you with an everlasting love.
As high as the heavens are above the earth,
So great is His love towards you.
And as far as the East is from the West
So far has He removed your transgression from You.
He forgave you of all your sins,
He healed you of all you diseases,
Redeemed your life from destruction,
Crowned you with love and compassion,
Satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed as the eagle’s.
He daily loads you with benefits to enjoy.
No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper.
Greater is He that in you than he that is in this world.
Because you are in Christ,
the old has gone and the New has come.
Your life is hidden in Christ in God.
God is your light and your salvation
Of whom shall you fear?
He has not given you a spirit of fear
but that of Love power and sound mind.
God is the strength of your life.
He has called you to be the head and not the tail.
As you obey Him fully,
whatever you lay your hands to do
will prosper to the glory of God.
When you go through the river
You will not drown.
When you go through the fire,
the flame will not kindle upon you.
Like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego,
you will come out shining like gold
and radiating the glory of the Lord.
When the world throws you into the lion’s,
God will send His angel to protect you.
Like the three Hebrew children,
Your opposition will bring promotion.
Your rejection will bring your celebration.
You will not go under for going over.
The favour of God will be upon you
Like Nehemiah and Joseph.
Your vision shall be accomplished
Regardless of the opposition
And the tribulation that you go through.
You may laugh last but you will laugh best.
If God is for you
No one can be against you.
Neither death nor life
Nor principalities nor powers
Nor height nor depth
Nor things present nor things to come
Nor any other created thing shall
Be able to separate you
From the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.
Nay in all these things
You are more than a conqueror.
Thanks be to God who always causes you to triumph.
God is for you, with you and in you.
Your light afflictions are working for you
An exceeding weight of eternal glory.
You may be hard-pressed
but you will not be crushed.
You may the perplexed but
you need not be in despair.
You may be persecuted
But your are not abandoned;
Knocked down but not knocked out.
God will fight for you and your will hold your peace.
Because the battle is not yours but His.
You are the redeemed of the Lord;
Redeemed from the curse of the Law.
You are the righteousness in Christ Jesus.
Jesus has been made onto you:
wisdom, redemption,
sanctification and righteousness.
God has given you beauty for ashes,
the oil of joy in place of mourning
the garment of praised
in place of the spirit of heaviness
that you may be a tree of righteousness
the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified.
If you are barren, sing, O barren.
Enlarge the place of your dwelling
stretch out, spare not.
Lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes.
For more shall be the children
of the desolate than the married wife.
Have you dug wells that gave been blocked again and again?
Keep digging and the Lord will make room for you, like Isaac.
Has your dream brought contention and rejection and opposition?
Dream again like Joseph. Your dream which came from the Lord shall come true.
They may forcibly take your coat or steal your coat
But they cannot steal your anointing.
Let them make you a scapegoat.
It will only assuage your anointing.
God will make your feet like the hind’s, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.Jer29:11-13
Watch what you say about yourself. Words are powerful. Speak God’s words and think God’s thoughts concerning you. Agreed with God despite what you see or feel. You need to renew your mind before you can start thinking God’s though and this takings discipline, dedication, devotion, dwelling in the word, meditating on it day and night.
It does not happen overnight but you must invest your time and effort before it can pay off.
The Israelites who focused on what they saw and spoke fear and unbelief died because of what they spoke which was contrary to what the mind of God for them. Only Joshua and Caleb took sides with God and they were the only ones amongst the adults who survived and entered the Promised Land.
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.Rom12:2
7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. ” Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you.Prov:23:7
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy — meditate on these things.Phil4:8
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.Prov.18:21
20 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings.
21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart;
22 For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.
23 Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.
24 Put away from you a deceitful mouth, And put perverse lips far from you.Prov.4:21-24
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.Ps19:14
63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.John6:63
Proverbs 6
2 You are snared by the words of your mouth; You are taken by the words of your mouth.
Proverbs 6:2
3 Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips.Ps141:3
29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.
Ephe4:29
37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
Matt12:37
27 Then they told him, and said: “We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit.
28 Nevertheless the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there.
29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the South; the Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the mountains; and the Canaanites dwell by the sea and along the banks of the Jordan.”
30 Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”
31 But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.”
32 And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature.
33 There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”Num13:27-33
36 Now the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land, who returned and made all the congregation complain against him by bringing a bad report of the land,
37 those very men who brought the evil report about the land, died by the plague before the LORD.
38 But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh remained alive, of the men who went to spy out the land. Num14:36-38

Looking back to look forward

Looking back to look forward Again
We may not know the future
But we know God, our Reward
With Him there is good in store.
http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i134/tailzdude/CGCB-1.png
http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i134/tailzdude/CGC6.png
He is Shepherd of the sheep
Who follow in obedience
He is well able to keep
Those in complete reliance.
My task is to look to Him
Always, despite what I see
He will fulfil what is a dream
As the Master of the Sea.
http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i134/tailzdude/j04094221.jpg
Therefore I throw fear away
And hold tightly to His word
Come what may, He is the way
And He will make good, His word.
‘We can trust our all knowing God
For the unknown future.’
“Though clouds surround the present and I do not know what the future may hold, I have the assurance that the Shepherd will show me the way. My task is to follow Him in love and obedience, and trust each step to Him.” David Roper (Our Daily Bread)
8 Then Israel saw Joseph’s sons, and said, “Who are these?”
9 Joseph said to his father, “They are my sons, whom God has given me in this place.” And he said, “Please bring them to me, and I will bless them.”
10 Now the eyes of Israel were dim with age, so that he could not see. Then Joseph brought them near him, and he kissed them and embraced them.
11 And Israel said to Joseph, “I had not thought to see your face; but in fact, God has also shown me your offspring!”
12 So Joseph brought them from beside his knees, and he bowed down with his face to the earth.
13 And Joseph took them both, Ephraim with his right hand toward Israel’s left hand, and Manasseh with his left hand toward Israel’s right hand, and brought them near him.
14 Then Israel stretched out his right hand and laid it on Ephraim’s head, who was the younger, and his left hand on Manasseh’s head, guiding his hands knowingly, for Manasseh was the firstborn.
15 And he blessed Joseph, and said: ” God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, The God who has fed me all my life long to this day,
16 The Angel who has redeemed me from all evil, Bless the lads; Let my name be named upon them, And the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; And let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.” Gen.48:8-16

Find the Book
In a Sunday school some children were told to find scrolls hidden away with scriptures written on them. They were promised some goodies and off they went with excitement and anticipation, enthusiasm, wanting to outdo each other. They were moving chairs and tables, climbing ‘mountains’, descending ‘valleys’ and poring purses.
The congregation was set alight with joy and affirmation which renewed and underlined the importance of the Word of God
In many homes, the Bible is hidden away on shelves whilst there are places in the world where Bibles are a rarity -a treasure to be hunted and treasured.
You really don’t know what you have until you lose it. And if you don’t use it, you’ve lost it.
May we find the word of God and the voice of God for our lives today and always.

Words of Wisdom
Apples Of Gold
They say an apple a day
keeps the doctor away.
Go on! Have some apples
Of gold, in a setting of silver.
They’ll keep from trouble,
Or keep you from stumbling,
Or keep you from struggles,
Or help you leap over hurdles.
Eat as much as you can.
No one will accuse you of greed
Or call you an Oliver Twist.
Feed your eyes.
Fuel your spirit and soul,
As you grow in grace
In your Race of Grace
Get insight, foresight,
Prudence, discretion,
Knowledge, understanding and
The Wisdom of the Kingdom life.
Don’t forget to pass
some of the apples
to a friend in need.
Remember: A friend in need
Is a friend indeed.
I know they also say,
‘One bad apple
spoils the whole bunch.’
But you don’t need to
worry about that here.
These apples you see
have longevity
and purity to infinity.
They will never go bad.
They have ability
not only to reform,
but also transform
the hard and bad.
They are plumb, lush
Delicious, mouth watering;
Simply divine.
