Summon Your power, O Lord ( By Fenny West)

Summon Your Power, O Lord

Summon Your power, O Lord
Show us Your strength
as You have done before, O Lord, O Lord
Part Your heavens and come down
Touch the mountains and let them smoke, O Lord, O Lord

Flash Your lightening, O Lord
Confuse all Your enemies
Shoot Your arrows, O Lord
And scatter, scatter, scatter every foe
Summon Your power, O Lord
Show us Your strength as You have done before, O Lord, O Lord

Let a fire go before You
And burn up all  Your enemies, O Lord, O Lord
Reach down the mighty waters
Deliver those called by Your name, O Lord
O, Lord
May the zeal of the Lord of hosts
Bring this to pass to His glory, O Lord, O Lord

Psalms 68: The Glory of God in His Goodness to Israel To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. A Song.

1      Let God arise, Let His enemies be scattered; Let those also who hate Him flee before Him.

2      As smoke is driven away, So drive them away; As wax melts before the fire, So let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

3      But let the righteous be glad; Let them rejoice before God; Yes, let them rejoice exceedingly.

4              Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Extol Him who rides on the clouds, By His name YAH, And rejoice before Him.

17   The chariots of God are twenty thousand, Even thousands of thousands; The Lord is among them as in Sinai, in the Holy Place.

18   You have ascended on high, You have led captivity captive; You have received gifts among men, Even from the rebellious, That the LORD God might dwell there.

19   Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation! Selah

20   Our God is the God of salvation; And to GOD the Lord belong escapes from death.

21   But God will wound the head of His enemies, The hairy scalp of the one who still goes on in his trespasses.

Summon your power, God; show us your strength, our God, as you have done before.

If My People… ( by Fenny West)

If My People…

If my people
Who are called by my Name
Shall humble themselves and pray
And seek my face and turn from their wicked ways,

then will I hear from heaven,

and will forgive their sins and will heal their land.

Oh Lord, Your people who are called by Your Name,

do humble ourselves and pray and

seek Your face and turn from our wicked ways.
Oh Lord, hear from heaven

and Lord forgive our sins

and Lord heal our land.

To end
Oh Lord, hear from heaven and Lord forgive our sins and Lord heal our land.
Oh Lord, hear from heaven and Lord forgive our sins and Lord heal our land.
Oh Lord, hear from heaven and Lord forgive our sins and Lord heal our land.

14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

30 So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. Ezek 22:30

15 Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” Ps50:15

3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

7 And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?

1 Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,

7 And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?
8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”Luke18:1,

4 So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.
5 And I said: “I pray, LORD God of heaven, O great and awesome God, You who keep Your covenant and mercy with those who love You and observe Your commandments,
6 please let Your ear be attentive and Your eyes open, that You may hear the prayer of Your servant which I pray before You now, day and night, for the children of Israel Your servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel which we have sinned against You. Both my father’s house and I have sinned.
7 We have acted very corruptly against You, and have not kept the commandments, the statutes, nor the ordinances which You commanded Your servant Moses.
8 Remember, I pray, the word that You commanded Your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations;
9 but if you return to Me, and keep My commandments and do them, though some of you were cast out to the farthest part of the heavens, yet I will gather them from there, and bring them to the place which I have chosen as a dwelling for My name.’
10 Now these are Your servants and Your people, whom You have redeemed by Your great power, and by Your strong hand.
11 O Lord, I pray, please let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants who desire to fear Your name; and let Your servant prosper this day, I pray, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man.” For I was the king’s cupbearer. Neh1:4-11

4 And I prayed to the LORD my God, and made confession, and said, “O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments,
5 we have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments.

The Lord is My Song and Strength

The Lord is my Song and Strength
He is my Shield, Shelter and Salvation.
He hauled the foe and his horse into the sea
Because He is the Master of the Sea.

The Lord is my Stronghold and Strong Tower

and in Him I hide and abide.
No weapon fashioned against me shall prosper.
Everything I lay my hands to do shall prosper.

The Lord my light and might,

therefore I shine wherever I go.

I wax stronger and stronger from day to day.

He makes a way for me where there is no way.

He makes rivers in the desert and a way in the wilderness.

He parts my red sea for me to walk on dry ground.

The Lord is my Source.

He supplies all my needs according to His riches in glory.

No good thing does He withhold from me.

He satisfies my mouth with good things.

He daily loads me with benefits to enjoy.

He is my Shepherd-the Good Shepherd,

who lays down His life for the sheep.

I can count on His providence.

He leads me to my green pastures and still water.

In times of famine, He will satisfy me.

Channels may change from time to time,

but my Source remains unchanging,

He is reliable and faithful.

As I take steps of faith,

He will order my steps and demonstrate

His ever- presence and faithfulness, grace and goodness.

The Lord is my Peace.

In Him I have peace with God and the peace of God that transcends all understanding. In Him I have serenity, composure, repose, assurance, confidence, boldness.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.

The Lord is my canopy. He protects me.
For He is with me. He said, “Fear not. I am with you. Be not dismayed. I am your God. I will uphold you and retain you with my victorious right hand of rightness and justice. Fear not. You are mine. I have engraved you on the palm of my hands. Shall a mother forget her sucking babe? Even if she does, I will not forget my own.”
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and be of good courage. The Lord is with you wherever you go. Angels have been given charge over you.
Therefore stand still and see the salvation of your God.

Those that are with you are more than those against you.

And if God is for you who can be against you.

Put on the whole armour of God and stand in the evil day.
Stand! Having done all stand. Fear not. When you go through the waters, you will not drown. And when you go through the fire, the flame will not singe you. You will not be burnt or even smell of smoke. The fire will work for you. It will refine you, recharge you, rekindle you, revive you, rejuvenate you, reposition you and ‘refire’ you.

So count it all joy at such times because God is making your faith more robust at such times so that you will radiate His glory. Know that at such times you are being prepared for promotion, like Daniel and his friends. Refuse to compromise. Set your face like a flint like they did and you will win. Set your face like a flint like Esther did and you will obtain the golden sceptre and fulfil your vision.

Lord, Send Your Word ( sermon & song) ( by Fenny West)

The word of God is not bound; it is spirit and life; it  is medicine; it is powerful, dynamic, living, anointed, ignites, propels, advances, destroys the works of darkness. It will accomplish what God has ordained. The grass may wither, the flowers may fade but the word of God abides forever. Esteem God’s word, crave for it more than your necessary food. Stand on God’s word. Pray God’s word. Live in God’s word. Eat it, meditate on it and digest it. Say what God says in His word concerning you or any area of your life regardless of your current experiences. God is not a man that He should lie. Believe what He says about your family, finances, health, ministry, your future or any matter. Takes sides with Him, like Caleb and Joshua. Say like the centurion,’ Lord, send Your word only and it shall be done.’

Jesus Heals a Centurion’s Servant

5 Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him,

6 saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.”

7 And Jesus said to him,

“I will come and heal him.”

8 The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.

9 For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.

10 When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed,

“Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!

And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.

But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

13 Then Jesus said to the centurion,

“Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour.  Matt8:5-13

I Will Instruct You

I will instruct you

And teach you the way you should go

I will counsel you direct you

Watch over you

Lean not in your understanding

But in all of your ways

Acknowledge Me

And I will direct your path. Ps32:8-9

Don’t be like the horse or mule that needs bits and bridles to control. Yield to Me. Be malleable and flexible in My hands and I will lead you in the right path. You will hear a word behind you saying, this is the way, walk in it. Do not swerve to the left or the right. Make level paths for your feet. My Child pay attention to my word. Listen closely to what I say. (Ps32:8-9)

The path of the righteous shines ever brighter unto a perfect day.  ( Prov4:18)I am the Good Shepherd. I know your destination. I know how you should get there. I see the end from the beginning. Follow my leading even if you do not see my hand your can trust my heart. Faith in Me is not a leap in the dark. It is trusting in the way Maker who is all-wise, makes impossible possible, gives strange, ridiculous instructions which bring about the miraculous.

In the face of the raging sea I instructed Moses to use his rod and you know what happened? Ex14:13-16,21-22)

In the midst of lack of water, I told him to strike the rock and he obey and water came out.( EX17:6) When they were thirsty again but found only bitter water I instructed him again to cut a tree branch and throw into the river and you know what happened, spring water sprang up and their thirst was quenched.

When the children of Israel disobeyed God and were bitten by the snakes, God instructed Moses to make a bronze serpent and put it on a pole and whoever looked at it was made well. What an instruction! Moses had to obey it whether or not he understood it.

When Jesus arrived at the house of Mary and Martha after delaying till Lazarus died, he instructed them to roll away the stone and when they did their part He did His part and raised back their dead dream. Similarly you have to do what you have been told to do and you will experience miracles. When wine ran out at the marriage feast His mother told the servants to do what they are told. And strangely Jesus told them to fill the pots with water. They obeyed regardless of how ridiculous it sounded. And what happened? The water was turned into wine. And not just another wine, but the best wine came when the party was nearly over. It is not over until Jesus says so.  He can give a brand New Beginning even in your old age.

Peter was invited to come and wall on water with Jesus. He obeyed He dared attempt a great thing for God and he did. He was also told to launch into the deep after they had told all night and caught nothing. But when they obeyed their catch was so much that their boat was about to sink. They had to beg others to come and help them harvest the catch.

General Naaman came for healing at Elisha’s residence. He though because he was a general, Elisha will run out and roll out a red carpet. He was highly disappointed when Elisha simply sent a servant to go and tell Naaman to go and deep in the river in Samaria seven times. He was furious that Elisha did not come and do some acrobatics bit sent him not even to a river in his hometown but to what he considered a lesser degenerate place. His advisers counselled him to humble himself and do what he was told. He did and his body was as fresh as that of a baby.

A blind man came for healing and Jesus spat on the floor, made a paste with it and rubbed it on his eye and told him to go and wash in the pool of Siloam. He did and came back seeing. There were ten leper who came for healing and Jesus told them to go and show themselves to the priest and take an offering. Granting that they were still blind, the instruction was absurd, but they obey and as they went they received their healing. (John9:7,11)

On another occasion Jesus met a man that had been crippled for 38 years and told him to take up his bed and walk, he obeyed and he walked.

Peter and John met that crippled man at the Gate Beautiful and told him, what you want- silver and gold, we do not have but what we have and what you need, we have, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Rise up and walk. The man looked at Peter an John cross-eyed.  Peter wasted no time but bent down and raised him up and as he touched him =, his ankle boned received revival power surging through his bones alike electricity and he leap up and down praising God for his healing.

Abraham was told to leave his comfort zone- his clan, country, people to a place God would show him. God did not give him the specific place he was going. But we were told Abraham departed immediately. That is a walk of faith and we are told four times in the scriptures, ’The just shall live by faith.’ I don’t know of any other scripture that was repeated four times.(Gen12:1-4,Rom1:17, Hab.2:4, Heb10:38, Gal3:11)We walk by faith and not by sight. 2Cor5:7. Faith comes by hearing  the word of God. God instructs us through His word.  When we come to his word we need to be attentive and take it as God speaking to us as we read it or meditate on it. Often a portion of the scripture will jump at us or be magnified or underlined or reinforced.  That is God speaking.  God uses any means He chooses but we know that whatever means He uses must line up with His word, because He is not an Author of confusion.  He will not tell you to do anything contrary to His word. ( Num23:19, Heb6:18, Isa53:10-11,Jer1:12, Ps119:89,105,130)

My Year of Favour, Open Heavens and Good Success

My Year of Favour, Open Heavens and Good Success

It shall be my year of Favour because I will learn from Joseph and court, cultivate, carry the presence of God as never before. Joseph was favoured because of the presence of God in His life. Hence, regardless of where he found himself, favour showed up. When he was thrown into the pit, favour showed up, as one of his brothers (Reuben) rose up and defended his patch, which prevented him from being killed because of his dream.(Gen37:21-22)

Although he was sold as a slave and ended up in Egypt and in Potiphar’s house, he trusted and courted and cultivated the presence of God, so much so that whatever he did prospered. He demonstrated favour as he served his master well, despite his being uprooted and sold as a slave. His excellence commanded the favour of his master who left everything in his charge and gave him every privilege as an administrator over his affairs.( Gen39:1-4)

Despite his integrity and excellence, his good looks got him into trouble as Potiphar’s wife cast a longing eye on him. She pestered him daily to abandon his morals, fear of God, loyalty and integrity but Joseph considered forfeiting the presence of God too much of a price to pay for momentary pleasure of sin. He refused to give in to her and she became desperate and tried to force him, grabbing his coat,  so he fled, leaving the coat with her. She used that as evidence against him and since it was his word against hers, his master and others believed her. (Gen39:10-20)

Joseph was thrown into prison. It appeared, bad had come to the Good. It looked as if God had abandoned His. But it was a set up for a lift up; a set up for open heavens. Joseph was climbing his ladder to his destiny, his purpose and assignment. And so even in the prison, favour followed Joseph as he carried himself well, displaying excellent as always and caring for others, serving the prison warden well to the extent that he was put in charge of other prisoners. (Gen39:21-23)

Joseph trusted his God, cherished and maintained and guarded jealously his relationship with Him regardless of where he was, that the power and grace of God was evidenced in his life everywhere he went- on the mountain, in the valley, alley, pit, prison, city or country side.

Eventually, open heavens came when Pharoah dreamed a dream that troubled him.  The butler who had forgotten Joseph, who interpreted his dream that brought him out of jail, suddenly remembered him and told the King about him. Joseph was brought out to interpret Pharaoh’ dream and catapulted from Prisoner to Prime Minister overnight. Pharaoh gave him his ring, clothe him in garments of fine linen and put a gold chain round his neck and he was given a  chariot) (like a limo) and feted as people bowed the knee in his honour.

What a spectacular comeback!

As administrator of Egypt, Joseph displayed incredible wisdom and excellence, once again serving Pharaoh and Egypt well as was his custom. Despite the material possession- GOODs- that came to him, Joseph did not allow it to go into his head and preferred Good Success in place of Goods Success. He made his mark in Egypt and curried further favour when his brothers wandered into Egypt to look for food. He did not retaliate but favoured them and later Pharaoh told him to bring his father and the whole family and told him to give them the best part of Egypt- Goshen. That was favour again married with open heavens, marooned in Good Success. (Gen47:6)

Therefore, in this year of Favour, Open Heavens and Good Success, I resolve to cultivate, practice and carry the presence of my God ( Ps102:12-14, Gen39:3-4). His presence shall be a priority wherever I go, regardless of the circumstance. I shall remind myself that God is always with me (Matt28:20, Isa43:1-2, -41:10, -45:1-3). Therefore, I will refuse to complain but trust that He is directing my steps, ordering my steps, putting things in place for the fulfilment of my destiny. I will believe that He who knows the end from the beginning is working everything together for my good because I love Him and I am called according to His purpose (Ps37:23, Ps32:8, Rom8:28). I will display excellence and integrity in all my endeavours; be the best-not by my might, nor by my power, but by the power of the Holy Spirit. The word of God shall be prevalent, paramount, preponderant and profuse in all I do. It shall not depart out of my mouth as I resolve to meditate on it day and night( Jos1:8 Col3:16, 2Tim2:15, Ps1, Ps119, Ps19:7-11, Heb4:12, Deut6:7).  It shall permeate my writing, my singing, my relationships, my circular work, wherever I go. There shall be no compromise on the doing of the word of God, so help me God.

“For you that have been cocooned, marooned, barricaded, covered with a blanket, there shall arise a light unprecedented; there shall be a release, an open heaven and favour in your relationships, finances and business and destiny.  Pleasant surprises shall come to you in this year from the North and South, East and West…”
