11 And after him was Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. The Philistines had gathered together into a troop where there was a piece of ground full of lentils. So the people fled from the Philistines. 12 But he stationed himself in the middle of the field, defended it, and killed the Philistines. So the LORD brought about a great victory.
When God visits you He’ll open your eyes To see the greatness in you, Causing you to rise And possess your possession.
When God visits you, He’ll change your story From breakthrough to breakthrough; Grant you untold victory.
When God visits you, Unbelievers will know; Believers will know; Your adversaries will know; Your victory will be noised abroad.
Isaiah 60: The Gentiles Bless Zion 1 Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. 2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. 3 The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising. 4 ” Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather together, they come to you; Your sons shall come from afar, And your daughters shall be nursed at your side. 5 Then you shall see and become radiant, And your heart shall swell with joy; Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.
9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Phil2:9-11
12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts4:12
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Making their lives count more than the count of their lives;
Reaching out as channels of blessing;
Precious, luscious, abundant fruit bearing;
Demonstrating doubtless they’re
Not Carnality but Christ
1 If then you were raised with Christ , seek those things which are above , where Christ is , sitting at the right hand of God. Col3:1. 5 even when we were dead in trespasses , made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved) , Eph2:5 17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one , much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One , Jesus Christ.) Ro.5:17
10 The thief does not come except to steal , and to kill , and to destroy. I have come that they may have life , and that they may have it more abundantly. John10:10 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness , through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue , 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises , that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature , having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
For you died , and your life is hidden with Christ in God. Col.3:3
20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live , but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God , who loved me and gave Himself for me. Gal.2:20
57 But thanks be to God , who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1Cor.15:57
You are called to be the head and not the tail. You are called to get ahead and not to trail. You have been given the anointing to overtake Kings. You have been given power over all the power of the enemy. You have been given power to trample upon serpents and scorpions. No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper. Any tongue that rises against you in judgement, you condemn. You have been called to mastery and distinction. You have been called to dominion and excellence. You have been empowered to be able to do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Therefore no task shall be too hard for you. You have the wisdom, the tenacity and the knowhow to do whatever you are called to do. God will work in you, both to will and to do according to His good pleasure. He will work in you so much to exceed every expectation-more than you can ask or think or even dream of, according to the Holy Ghost power at work in you. You will be bold wherever you go-knowing beyond doubt that the Greater One lives in you, is with you and for you. You will walk and work in the consciousness that you have divine mandate and empowerment and enablement. You will work in the understanding that one with God is majority. And if God be for you, who can be against you? You will walk and work in the assurance that if God did not withhold Jesus from you, but delivered Him to die on the cross for you, there is nothing He would withhold from you. Wherever the soles of your feet shall tread belongs to you.
When you ask, you will receive. When you seek you will find. When you knock, the door will be opened to you. And often times before you speak, He will hear, and while you are praying He will answer. You will ask the nations of Him and He will give you, and will give the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession.
It was He who said:
15 Call upon Me in the day of trouble;
I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” Ps50:15
15’He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;…’Ps91:15 “3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’ Jer33:3
…” “7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.John15:7…”
“”Have faith in God.23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.Mark11:22-24
So whatever I desire, when I pray concerning them, I shall have an assurance that God heard me and answered me, and I have received what I have asked for and will have the manifestation in the fullness of time.
Meanwhile, I refuse to worry or be bogged down with that need again. I give thanks to God and praise Him, even before I see. I act as if He has answered. I focus on His love and grace and goodness. I focus on His word concerning me. I focus on His promise in regard to that issue. I rejoice that the boundary line has fallen in pleasant places. Silver and gold are like dust in my plot and I have the Holy Spirit who sheds light for me to see what God has freely given to me-my heritage. I’m a seed of Abraham. And Abraham’s blessings are mine. I am blessed.
I am blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. I am blessed in my going out and in my coming in. God’s blessing will come and overtake me even as I am obedient to His word; I shall eat the best of the land. Whatever I lay my hands to do shall prosper. My body is blessed. My business is blessed. My family is blessed. There shall be no miscarriage in my home in any endeavour. I walk in divine, uncommon, hidden wisdom. I walk in diligence, honour and integrity. I walk in love, joy, peace, goodness, kindness, humility, forbearance, forgiveness, peace, self-control. There is no failure in my path. I go from glory to glory and from faith to faith, grace to grace and strength to strength. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. All things are working together for my good because I love God and I am the called according to purpose. Nothing fazes me. I count it all joy when I come against different kinds of trouble, temptation or impediment or barrier. It assures me that another testimony is round the corner for which I will look forward to. It assures me that I have what the enemy is lusting after and that I am on the right path.
Yes, I will not look at the things which are seen, but to the things which are unseen, knowing that the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are unseen are eternal.
So when hard-pressed, I know I will not be crushed. It’s working for my good. When perplexed, I will not be in despair. Why? I know it’s working for my good. When I am persecuted or opposed, I know beyond doubt that I am not abandoned. God said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you till the end of the age…; lo I am with you always. Fear not. I am with you. I am your God. I will uphold you and retain you with my victorious right hand.
‘Fear not. When you go through the water or rivers, you will not drown. And when you go through the fire, the flame will not scorch you. You will be refined, made robust, fine-tuned to radiate the glory of God.’
So say to yourself: “The glory of the latter house shall surpass the former. Therefore I will use the valley of Bacca as a place of spring to spring up from glory to glory, strength to strength, faith to faith and grace to grace. I am going higher and higher, because the path of the righteous shines ever brighter onto the full light of day. I am called to be the head and not the tail. I shall tower from height to height, to greater heights. I shall mount up to surmount. Where I once walked, I shall begin to run. Where I ran, I will begin to fly. And where I flew I will begin to soar. Why? I am an eagle called to live the life of an eagle saint, in Jesus’ name.”
12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses..
12 Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.13 Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.15 Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.16 Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.
12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.1Tim6:12
3 I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day,4 greatly desiring to see you, being mindful of your tears, that I may be filled with joy,5 when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also.6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2Tim1:3-7
8 So David inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?”
And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.“
12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
David went through the valleys of the shadows of death to write sweet psalms that have enduring quality. We are able to identify with them through thick and thin after thousands of years. God wants to do the same through you, in your day.
Who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
Let’s see some of Paul’s woes.
Yes, he faced many woes and foes, but these became his ladders for ascent; ladders and conduit to write many best sellers of all time. This was because of his perspective. He saw himself as more than a conqueror. He knew that if God was for him, no one could be against him and all their evil schemes, intrigues and diabolical machinations will come to nothing. In fact, he knew all things will work together for his good because he loved the Lord and was the called according to purpose. He knew that God was through his difficulties, working in him to work through him; working in him both to will and do according to His good pleasure. And so he could fight the good fight of faith because when all is said and done, he would come out on top. When the dust has settled after the storm, he will keep standing.
Yes, when hard-pressed, Paul knew he would not be crushed. When perplexed, he knew he needed not be in despair. When persecuted, he knew he was not abandoned. He could hear the Spirit’s voice:
‘Lo, I am with you always. I will never leave you nor forsake you. Have I not command you? Fear not, neither be you dismayed. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. The battle is not yours but Mine. I will fight for you and you will hold your peace. Be not afraid of their faces. They will be bread to you. You are more than a conqueror. Greater is He in you that he who is in the world. There are more with you than are against you. Be strong in Me and in My mighty power. ’
Now if you think you going through hell and high water, read this and be comforted
23 Are they ministers of Christ? — I speak as a fool — I am more: in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, in deaths often.24 From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one.25 Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep;26 in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;27 in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness —28 besides the other things, what comes upon me daily: my deep concern for all the churches.29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to stumble, and I do not burn with indignation?
30 If I must boast, I will boast in the things which concern my infirmity.31 The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed forever, knows that I am not lying.32 In Damascus the governor, under Aretas the king, was guarding the city of the Damascenes with a garrison, desiring to arrest me;33 but I was let down in a basket through a window in the wall, and escaped from his hands.
Yet amidst these woes Paul pressed on. You too can press on. Amidst these woes he wrote best sellers. You too can use your woes to write best sellers. You can obtain victories from your valleys.
In Philippi after casting out a demon from a girl who was used by his enemies, all hell broke loose against Paul and Silas. They were beaten, battered and broken and bled. And as if that was not enough, their hands and feet were chained and then thrown into the back of a dungeon of a prison.
But at midnight they decided to have a praise party. And they raised their voices and prayed and sang. It was the last thing you would expect from such prisoners. It was a ridiculous thing to do. It was a crazy move in the natural but we know what happened sooner than later. God rocked the foundations of the prison and their chains fell off. The jailor heard the cacophony and came running with his lamp. He thought they had all escaped, knowing that his life was on the line. He wanted to kill himself rather than fact the music but Paul stopped him: ‘We are all here. Do not harm yourself.’
He was so overwhelmed by their response that he was convicted and so moved to ask, ‘What must I do to be saved?’
Paul quickly seized the opportunity to lead him and his household to the Lord. They were all baptized and there was a great joy and celebration as he brought food and drink to commemorate that wonderful occasion.
And so it was from opposition and imprisonment to liberation, celebration and house-hold salvation. You see how valleys can spell victories; how woes can be ladders of ascent.(Acts16:18-34)
God is good all the time. If Paul can use his woes to write best-sellers, so can you. If he can use his valleys as ladders for rising higher in God. So can you. You can then count it all joy when you come to divers temptations because you know they are working for you; producing an exceedingly great treasure and weight of eternal glory.
