“Let Us Go to the Other Side”

“And they came to the other side.”Mark 5:1

Wind and Wave Obey Jesus

³⁵ On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.” ³⁶ Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him. ³⁷ And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. ³⁸ But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”

³⁹ Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. ⁴⁰ But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” ⁴¹ And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!”

A Demon-Possessed Man Healed

5 Then they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gadarenes.

Let us go to the other side

Was the Word of the Master.

And so no matter what betide

I will sail and prevail and assail

 gradually to the other side-

the land flowing with milk and honey.

Yes, regardless of the storm the ocean wide,

My boat, no matter how small my boat, I will arrive.

I am coming back with a testimony.

The Captain of Salvation is in my boat.

“Let us go to the other side.”  

Is the Word of my God and my Maker.

What more do I need when He’s on my side?

I will therefore go higher and higher and higher.

“Let us go to the other side.”

Yes, if He says “Yes”, who can say ‘no’?

So, on this mountain I will arrive,

 regardless of the Goliath or the foe.

“Let’s go to the other side.”

Come storm, tsunami, hale or snow,

hurricane, Wind or fire,

In the Word of God I will abide and hide

 until I obtain His and my desire.

“Let us go to the other side.”

God’s Word will never fail

And I will stand even when I’m tried.

On eagle’s wings I will assail.

Glory be to God. Hallelujah!

Child of God, stand immovable, unconquerable, always abounding and excelling in the work of the Lord. Stand and you will conquer. Stand, regardless of the boisterous wind that has risen. It will be stilled. There shall not only be calm, but a Great Calm! In the name of Jesus.

The children of Israel came to the Red Sea, Pharaoh and his army behind them. Yet Moses encouraged them, “Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. The Egyptians you see today, you will see them no more.“

That is God’s Word to you , my friend. Stand your ground. You will not drown. You are sailing, and soaring high. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. God will fight for you and you will hold your peace, in Jesus’ name.

Let us pray:

Father, we thank You in the name of Jesus, that You are not a man that You should lie. Nor the son of man that You should repent. If You said it, You have the wherewithal to bring it to pass. It is written:”Heaven and earth will pass away but Your word will not pass away.” It is written, “ The earth and the fullness thereof belongs to the Lord.” It is written, “Silver and gold belongs to the Lord.”

This Word that You have given is my anchor, and stay and assurance. And as I stand on it, it will not give way. It will carry me to the other side. It shall surely come to pass, in the name of Jesus.

For You said: ⁸ This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Good success is my portion. Good success is my inheritance. Good success is my expectation.
