Fear not, for the ploys of the enemy shall be scuppered.
Fear not. The plots of the enemy shall not prosper.
The ploys of the enemy shall be destroyed, in the Name of Jesus.
For I have not given you a spirit of fear, but that of love power and sound mind. I have gone ahead of you to make crooked places straight. I have planned ahead to save My own, to keep My own, to prosper My own, to honour My own,to elevate My own and even to save the land for the Elect’s sake.
What Satan is doing will backfire.
Fear not because I am in control. The earth in all its fullness belongs to Me. Stand still and see My salvation. Even as I saved Israel who faced the Red Sea, I will save you. Even as I saved the Israelites, sandwiched between the Red Sea and their enemies, I will save you. Even as I saved His own when the angel of death passed through Egypt, and all the first-born in all households died, I will save you. When I see the blood, I will pass over. As I saved Israel in Persia from the sinister, wicked and diabolical plot of destruction and annihilation hatched by Haman, so will I save you, so will I protect you, so will I preserve you. I will turn the Day of Sorrow into a Day of Dancing and a Day of Joy. Yes, I will give you beauty in place of ashes, the oil of joy in place of mourning, the garment of praise in place of the spirit of heaviness and sadness, in the Name of Jesus. I will give you joy unspeakable and full of glory. Therefore fear not. Have faith in God. Your God is good God and He is good all the time. Fear Not. See Victory upon victory, possibilities upon possibilities. See open doors, favours following you day after day. See angelic hosts on assignment, ministering spirits at your command, at your beck and call. See the boundary lines falling in pleasant places for you. See the goodly heritage assigned to you. Say what you see in the spirit realm and you will see what you say coming your way, coming to pass. Prepare for your celebration when all these atrocities are over. See beyond the natural. See the Supernatural. Thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph in Christ and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. Thanks be to God Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree. They shall grow like cedars of Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord, shall flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bring forth fruit in their old age. They will remain fresh and green, fresh and Flourishing, proclaiming, “The Lord is upright and there is no unrighteousness in Him.” Blessed are those who dwell in your house. They will still be praising you. Blessed is the man whose strength is in you, whose heart is set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the valley of Baca-valley of weeping, the valley of the shadow of death-, they make it a place of spring. They spring up to the glory of God. They shine in the darkness. The darker the night, the brighter their light. They go from strength to strength and from glory to glory and from faith to faith.
It is time to seek the Lord. This is nothing but a spiritual warfare. No arm of the flesh such as social distancing, washing hands ten times or running and hiding or closing of shops can save us. It may help, in some way to reduce the number of death and delay the onslaught of the hordes of hell, but it is not the solution. Definitely not! This is a spiritual warfare and we must fight it from the realm of the spirit. Principalities and powers, rulers of darkness are responsible for what we see and they are bent on killing, stealing our liberty, dividing our families and destroying our businesses and ways of life. They are bent to frighten us into submission, despair, despondency, hopelessness and depression. They are bent on stealing the confidence we have in our God. They want us to doubt the God we serve and His ability to preserve and protect.
It is time to seek the Lord like Jehoshaphat did when Judah was suddenly threatened by many nations in an evil alliance that was formidable, overwhelming, and frightening beyond belief. They were like the sands of the seas. 2Chro20
The King at the time even feared at the onset of the bad news. But thank God he plucked up courage and knew what to do. He knew that no amount of soldiers or armament would save them at that time but the intervention of God almighty. Similarly, we cannot save ourselves at this time by any preparedness, washing of hands, amassing of hand sanitizers or face-masks or development of vaccines or closing of borders. Much as it is good to do what we can in the natural, but our primary armament is spiritual and we need to realise this and harness it immediately and not curtail it. This is the time for the Church to rise up and be a light in her world, the salt of the earth and the city on a hill. This is the time for the leaders to call for prayers and call on God to intervene and stop the powers of darkness in their tracks. Their ploy is to use fear to dispossess us of our inheritance, our way of life, our freedom to worship, our liberty to go about our daily businesses; our ability to socialise with each other. Their strategy is to divide families, divide countries, and create suspicion of each other, “Is he carrying the virus or is she carrying the virus?” The enemy wants to divide and rule. Some are pointing the finger here and there blaming the government for not closing the borders early or not closing schools early or not having enough ventilators or masks. People are looking for scape-goats because the god of this age has blinded their eyes, making them to pursue shadows instead of seeing who the real enemy is- Satan and his cohorts.
This is the kind of prayers we should be praying:
“O LORD God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven, and do You not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations, and in Your hand is there not power and might, so that no one is able to withstand You?
7 Are You not our God, who drove out the inhabitants of this land before Your people Israel, and gave it to the descendants of Abraham Your friend forever?
8 And they dwell in it, and have built You a sanctuary in it for Your name, saying,
9 ‘If disaster comes upon us — sword, judgment, pestilence, or famine — we will stand before this temple and in Your presence (for Your name is in this temple), and cry out to You in our affliction, and You will hear and save.‘
10 And now, here are the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir — whom You would not let Israel invade when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them and did not destroy them —
11 here they are, rewarding us by coming to throw us out of Your possession which You have given us to inherit.
12 O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.”
It is a spiritual warfare. And the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, not man-made but have divine power to pull down, demolish every stronghold and every pretentions of the enemy. We need to deploy our spiritual weapons: 2Cor10:4-5
Helmet of salvation– We need to protect our minds from the constant bombardment of the media of the death toll in various countries and rate of infection to cause alarm and fear. God has not given us a spirit of fear but that of love power and sound mind. We need to limit the diet of fear spun out incessantly and feed on the word of faith. Through our God we shall do valiantly. If God be for us who can be against us? We have the mind of Christ. God is our Refuge and strength and a very present help in trouble. Let the mountain be moved and be carried into the midst of the sea, we shall not be moved. We know whom we serve and whom we have believed. It shall be unto us as His word has said. We will not die but live to declare His word. We will not die before our time. A thousand may fall at our side, ten thousand at our right hand but the evil will not come near us. If the Lord delights in us, He will keep us and protect us. Let us think positive in line with God’s will for us.
The Whole Armor of God
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints —
Stop dwelling on the horror stories!
Meditate on These Things
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy — meditate on these things.
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”
3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence.
4 He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.
8 Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”
God is our refuge and our strength.
The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked came against me To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, They stumbled and fell.
3 Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident.
4 One thing I have desired of the LORD, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD, And to inquire in His temple.
5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.
6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD. Ps27:1-6
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever. Ps23:4-6
Let us be like Joshua and Caleb , “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”
Let us quit speaking like the 10 spies who spoke fear, death, disaster, hopelessness despair:
“The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature.
33 There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”
Let us speak words of faith and not fear. Let us encourage ourselves in the Lord. Those who know their God shall be strong and shall do great exploits. If God be for us who can be against us.
6 But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had spied out the land, tore their clothes;
7 and they spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying: “The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land.
8 If the LORD delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, ‘a land which flows with milk and honey.’
9 Only do not rebel against the LORD, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the LORD is with us. Do not fear them.”
Let us affirm like Paul:
34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,
39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Let us not be ensnared by the words of our mouth. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. Therefore let us speak life and not death. Let us guard our hearts diligently because out it stems the forces of life.
Let us put on the breastplate of right-standing and affirm who we are in Christ- the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. We are covered by the blood of the Lamb, the blood of Jesus speaks for us.
“ When I see the blood I will pass over.” Jesus is our Passover.
Let us put on the belt of truth as to expose all the lies of the enemy flooding the internet, radio and television and social media platforms. We are not ignorant of the devices of the enemy. God has not given us a spirit of fear but that of love, power and sound mind.
Using the shoes of the gospel let us share the good news of what God has done in times past and what He is doing even now amidst the atrocities of the Corona virus incidence. Let us never speak as those who do not have hope. When David arrived at the battle front, all the soldiers were quaking in their boots because of the boasting of Goliath and his imposing stature, but David saw beyond him and started bragging about his God and what He had done in times past. He lifted the spirits of those around that they went to tell the king about him. Yes this little teenager offered to bring down Goliath and when given the opportunity he did because he knew his God. Similarly you must know your God at this time and affirm His power to save.
You must use your shield of faith to quench every fiery dart of the enemy that is flying around in the news. Feed your faith and not your fear. Be discipline to turn off the radio, TV or media you get your news from and read the word of God to build you up and encourage you. We have a more sure word of prophecy. The promises of God are yes and amen in Christ. Christ in us our hope of glory. Our lives are hidden in Christ in God.
Use the sword of the spirit which is the word of God. It is powerful, dynamic, living, sharper than any two edge sword. Mediate on what God said to you and saying to you:
Fear not. I am with you. Be not afraid, neither be you dismayed because I am your God. I will help you. I will uphold you with my victorious right hand of rightness and justice.
Fear not. You are mine. I have called you by name. When you go through the fire the flame will not kindle upon you, when you go through the rivers, you will not drown. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and be of good courage. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Be strong and courageous. Not be afraid. Do not be discouraged because of the foes. In spite of their vastness, think of the Lord’s greatness. With them is the arm of the flesh but with us the Lord of hosts.
Thanks be to God who always gives us the victory. Because of your mercies, we are not consumed. Your mercies are new every morning and great is your faithfulness.
This should be your daily diet- not fear, death, despair, hopelessness, famine and strife. Release the ability of God and not the ability of Satan. Believe more in the ability of God to keep than in the ability of Satan to destroy.
The Kingdom of God suffers violence But the violent takes it by force The Kingdom of God suffers violence But the violent takes it by force
They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb And by the Word of their testimony They loved not their lives even unto death But thanks be to God Who always gives us the victory thanks be to God Who always gives us the victory thanks be to God Who always gives us the vi—–ctory

It’s time to seek the Lord like Jehoshaphat did. It’s time to acknowledge that the arm of the flesh will not do. The King called for a time of national fasting and praying. That is what we should be doing more than any other thing. Unless the Lord builds the house, the labourers build in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen watch in vain. It’s time to acknowledge like the King did:
“For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.”
It is time for us to repent for national sins and invoke the Word of God that says: 14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
The Church must spearhead this and push back the powers of darkness. The Church must pray so that the leaders of the nations will realise that this is a spiritual warfare and only spiritual weapons will do.
Yes, It’s time to seek the Lord like Nehemiah did. It’s time to seek the Lord, like Daniel did and when we do, Corona will die and be gone. It will be defeated and killed- dead in its tracks and we will have our streets back, have our jobs back, have our freedom back, have our families back, have our health back and have our joy back and have our freedom of worship back in Jesus’ Name.
Summon Your power, O Lord Show us Your strength as You have done before, O Lord, O Lord Part Your heavens and come down Touch the mountains and let them smoke, O Lord, O Lord
Flash Your lightening, O Lord Confuse all Your enemies Shoot Your arrows, O Lord And scatter, scatter, scatter every foe Summon Your power, O Lord Show us Your strength as You have done before, O Lord, O Lord
Let a fire go before You And burn up all Your enemies, O Lord, O Lord Reach down the mighty waters Deliver those called by Your name, O Lord O, Lord May the zeal of the Lord of hosts Bring this to pass to His glory, O Lord, O Lord
Psalms 68: The Glory of God in His Goodness to Israel To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. A Song.
1 Let God arise, Let His enemies be scattered; Let those also who hate Him flee before Him.
2 As smoke is driven away, So drive them away; As wax melts before the fire, So let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
3 But let the righteous be glad; Let them rejoice before God; Yes, let them rejoice exceedingly.
4 Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Extol Him who rides on the clouds, By His name YAH, And rejoice before Him.
17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, Even thousands of thousands; The Lord is among them as in Sinai, in the Holy Place.
18 You have ascended on high, You have led captivity captive; You have received gifts among men, Even from the rebellious, That the LORD God might dwell there.
19 Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation! Selah
20 Our God is the God of salvation; And to GOD the Lord belong escapes from death.
21 But God will wound the head of His enemies, The hairy scalp of the one who still goes on in his trespasses.
Summon your power, God; show us your strength, our God, as you have done before. Ps68:28 NIV

22 But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, 23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect,
5 And of Zion it will be said, ” This one and that one were born in her; And the Most High Himself shall establish her.” Ps87:5
You Are Divine Territory Carrying Divine Presence. Your Atmosphere is God-ordained, an Impenetrable bulwark and angels are on assignment. Ex13:21 He Shields you from the “heat” of the Day, Protects you from the “Cold” of the night, Because you dwell in the secret place. Because you are in the place by Him, Where You stand upon a rock, you dwell in a Refuge,
a Rock, a fortified fortress, stronger than the walls of Jericho.
You are the Beloved, David of this Day and
every Goliath that comes against you shall bite the dust. 1Sam17:51
Even if you drink any deadly things, any poison, it shall not hurt you. Mark16:18
You are divine territory. Because you are in Christ. You are called by His name Branded by Him, sealed by the Spirit.
There shall be no trespass-infection or desecration or contamination – of the temple of God. There shall be no siege on the place He dwells. Therefore fear not, neither be you dismayed. The Lord will fight for you and you will hold your peace. The Lord is your Passover. He is your Shelter and Shield. Let God arise and let His enemies be surrounded, scuppered, scattered and silenced. Ps68:1
10 ” He found him in a desert land And in the wasteland, a howling wilderness; He encircled him, He instructed him, He kept him as the apple of His eye. Duet.32:10
“…Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. Isa43:1-2
Psalms 103: Praise for the LORD’s Mercies A Psalm of David. 1 Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! 2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, 4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, 5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. 6 The LORD executes righteousness And justice for all who are oppressed. 7 He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel. 8 The LORD is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. 9 He will not always strive with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever. 10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor punished us according to our iniquities. 11 For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; 12 As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. 13 As a father pities his children, So the LORD pities those who fear Him. 14 For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust. 15 As for man, his days are like grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourishes. 16 For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, And its place remembers it no more. 17 But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting On those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children, 18 To such as keep His covenant, And to those who remember His commandments to do them. 19 The LORD has established His throne in heaven, And His kingdom rules over all. 20 Bless the LORD, you His angels, Who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word. 21 Bless the LORD, all you His hosts, You ministers of His, who do His pleasure. 22 Bless the LORD, all His works, In all places of His dominion. Bless the LORD, O my soul!
What a Scripture and song to wake up to this morning!
This is a ministration to the Lord, predicated on the wonderful things He has done and how poignant it is at such a time as this when the whole world is being shaken and nations and its people have been forced indoors in fear and in hiding from an unseen enemy- Corona Virus . No one is spared- Nations, the rich or the poor, the church or governments, the millionaires or paupers.
In this unprecedented time it is easy to lament and point the finger at God or take it out on others and play the blame game like Adam and Eve did.
Let us meditate on this powerful and wonderful psalm which enjoins us to bless Lord and FORGET NOT His benefits and he enumerates the benefits.
Looking at verses 3-5, there are wonderful benefits that we need to remind ourselves of even now amidst the storm and hurricane and fear that parades the streets and the bankruptcy, job losses that stare many in the face.
It is time to remind yourself of the goodness and greatness of your God. Remind yourself of what He has done for you in times past. Affirm these regardless of the present circumstances. He still cares. He still loves you. He does not change. He said: ”I am the Lord. I change not.”
Why should you bless the Lord?
1. Who forgives all your iniquities,
To know that ALL your sins are forgiven, regardless of what you may have done is the greatest blessing; to know that you have a right-standing with God; you have a clean slate; when God looks at you, He does not see what you used to be but He sees Jesus. Oh how marvellous, glorious and wonderful! It means you have peace with God and therefore the peace of God regardless of what happens around you. As far as the east is from the west so far He has removed your transgressions from you. ( Eph2:14, Phil4:6-7,Ps103:11)
This should fill you will serenity and assurance. You know your name is written in the Book of Life. And so you should not be afraid of death or any other circumstances. Your life is hidden in Christ in God. (Col3:3-4)
2. Who heals all your diseases:
You need to remind yourself even more so at such a time as this, that when Jesus died on the cross, He not only took your sins but also took your sickness and by His stripes you were healed. Hence, healing is your bread, your entitlement (Matt 15:26). You need to apply this truth to your life and your body frequently. Don’t wait until you feel any symptoms. Refuse any disease. Affirm that your body is the temple of God and sickness has no place in it. Say what God says about you: “Those who are in Zion shall not say I am sick (Isa 33:24). He has healed me of all my diseases. By His stripes I was healed (Isa 54:4-5, 1Pet2:24 ). That same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead indwells me and He that raised Christ from the dead quickens and vitalises my mortal body, even by His Spirit Who dwells in me ( Ro8:11). None of these diseases shall alight on me ( Ex15:26). I am divine territory (1 Cor:19-20).“
3. “Who redeems your life from destruction.”
Oh, how powerful a Word from God to YOU today. Let this be a rhema to you- What God is saying to you today. Don’t just read it. Personalise it: “You have redeemed my life from destruction.”
Corona virus is on the rampage and destroying lives here and there. But you must stand firm, immovable, hopeful and assured of the Lord’s presence, love and care. Thank Him for what He has done for you a long time ago and no foe can undo what He has done.
Affirm: “I will not die but live to declare the works of the Lord ( Ps 118:17). My life is hidden in Christ in God. In my pathway there is life and not death ( Ps 16:11). The expectation of the righteous shall not be cut short (Prov 10:24,-23:18). I shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living ( Ps 23:17). Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, because God is with me. His Word and His Spirit comfort me. He prepares a banquet for me even in the presence of my enemies. He has anointed my head with oil and my cup overflows. Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. And I will dwell in the presence of the Lord forever In His presence is fullness of joy and at His right hand there are pleasures forevermore in Jesus’ Name. Amen.” (( Ps 23:4-6 Ps16:11)
4. “Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies.”
Oh what a wonderful truth! Remind yourself that God has crowned you with love and compassion. He loves you with an everlasting love. As high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love towards you. He loves you with a great love. Thank Him for His love regardless of what you see happening around you. Never lose hope in Him. Put your trust in Him. Some may trust in princes, others in their wealth or accolades but your trust is in the Lord. (Ps146:3-7) As we have seen in the past few weeks everything that can be shaken has been shaken. You cannot depend on your wealth, business or position. Your trust should be in God and God alone. By all means, observe all the instructions of the Government with regards to hygiene and social distancing but at the end of the day your trust should be in the Lord and not in your precautions. Jer31:3,Eph1:4, John3:16, Ps103:11
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
7 ” Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD. 8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit. Jer17:7-8
Put your hope in God. Even when it seems hopeless be undaunted. Watch what you say. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. (Prov18:21) Speak words of life, Words of faith. Abraham, against hope believed in hope. He called those things which be not as though they were. He refused to stagger at the promise of God through unbelief but was strong in faith, giving glory to God ( Rom4:17-19). The just shall live by faith ( Rom1:17). God is your refuge and your fortress, your impenetrable bulwark ( Ps91:1-7). Those who put their trust in God shall not be put to shame (Ps25:3, Isa54:4, Joel2:26). You will not die before your time. Your destiny shall be fulfilled. You are a tree planted by the waters, spreading out your roots by the river, being nourished by the Word of God which is medicine to your body. Your leaf will remain green. You will not be anxious in the year of drought or Corona. You will not cease from yielding fruit. Even at this time when you are forced to retreat, you have retreated to advance. God will show you how to make the best of this time. He will make you creative, productive and innovative even in your quarantine and you will come out better than you went into the quarantine. You will demonstrate without a doubt that ” but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. (Dan11:32)
All things work together for good to them that love God and who are the called according to purpose.” (Rom8:28)
5 “Who satisfies your mouth with good things.”
Many companies have gone under, many have lost their jobs and billions have been wiped off stock market holdings. Nevertheless, be not afraid. Don’t be desperate. Refuse to run helter-skelter. Know who you are in Christ and whose you are. Repeatedly affirm that the Lord is your Shepherd you will not want. The Good Shepherd will take care of His sheep. He is Jehovah Jireh! Let this be your confession and assurance. Remember Isaac in the land of Gerar, when there was a great famine. He was tempted to run away like many others but God told him to stay there. He obeyed God and even sowed at such a time. The result was that he was blessed with a hundredfold return. Besides he became very successful. And after this triumph there were other oppositions and hindrances, but he dug his heels until God gave him room.12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him.
13 The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous;
So even at this time, affirm that God is your Source- not your job, the government or your business. Fix your eyes on the Lord. And He will give you winning ideas that will catapult you to stardom. There are many people who have been laid off and then discovered their purpose thereafter. It is time for you to shine. You are the light of the world, a salt of the earth and a city on a hill.
Believers Are Salt and Light
13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
1 Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.
2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. Isa60:1-2
Cast not away your confidence. God is in control of all that concerns you. You will not go under for going over. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. You are more than a conqueror. Greater is He that is in you than the Corona in the world.
6. “So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s..”
The eagle has a lesson to teach us at such a time as this.
He is the king of birds of the air and lives for long ( 20-30 years). However when it reaches its mid-life, its feathers become loose, weak and threadbare. At this point it goes to a remote mountain region and plucks out the old feathers and remains there until they grow back. It also beats its beak on rocks to remove the old worn out beak until new ones grow back. It is a painful ordeal but needful if it is to renew its strength. After this “quarantine”, it comes back, bounces back with a new life, a new zeal, impetus, Vim and drive for a ‘second wind’. It becomes more resilient than it went into the molten stage. It is like a New Life.
This is what awaits you if you will not despair at this time of quarantine but bask in the presence of the Lord. See yourself as an eagle saint. You are more than a conqueror. As the ferocious winds and storms that kill other birds, carries the eagle to glory so will the storms of life carry you to higher dimension.
It understands the wind current and just waits for the right time to spread its wings to be carried by the wind to its desired destination.
So wait on God and renew your strength like the eagle. Bounce back at the end of this season stronger, tougher, wiser, with sweeter songs composed during the Corona outbreak. Write a best-seller at this time when you are shut in. Be one of those who invented a Corona survival kit or one of those who made a great difference to other people’s lives in their time of dire need. Show that He Who lives in you makes a difference. Be bold to testify about the hope and confidence you have in God. Look for opportunities to lead people to Christ. Be not ashamed of the gospel.
10 ” He found him in a desert land And in the wasteland, a howling wilderness; He encircled him, He instructed him, He kept him as the apple of His eye. 11 As an eagle stirs up its nest, Hovers over its young, Spreading out its wings, taking them up, Carrying them on its wings,
28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. 29 He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, 31 But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Isa40:28-31
So what will you do during this quarantine?
Bless the Lord, all the time.
Look for opportunities to turn this great trial into a great triumph according to the word of God. Go from strength to strength, faith to faith and glory to glory. ( 2Cor2:14, Ps84:6-7, Hag2:9)
If my people Who are called by my Name Shall humble themselves and pray And seek my face and turn from their wicked ways,
then will I hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sins and will heal their land.
Oh Lord, Your people who are called by Your Name,
do humble ourselves and pray and
seek Your face and turn from our wicked ways. Oh Lord, hear from heaven
and Lord forgive our sins
and Lord heal our land.
To end Oh Lord, hear from heaven and Lord forgive our sins and Lord heal our land. Oh Lord, hear from heaven and Lord forgive our sins and Lord heal our land. Oh Lord, hear from heaven and Lord forgive our sins and Lord heal our land.
14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
30 So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. Ezek 22:30
15 Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” Ps50:15
3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’ Jer33:3
7 And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?
1 Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,
7 And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? 8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”Luke18:1,
4 So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven. 5 And I said: “I pray, LORD God of heaven, O great and awesome God, You who keep Your covenant and mercy with those who love You and observe Your commandments, 6 please let Your ear be attentive and Your eyes open, that You may hear the prayer of Your servant which I pray before You now, day and night, for the children of Israel Your servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel which we have sinned against You. Both my father’s house and I have sinned. 7 We have acted very corruptly against You, and have not kept the commandments, the statutes, nor the ordinances which You commanded Your servant Moses. 8 Remember, I pray, the word that You commanded Your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations; 9 but if you return to Me, and keep My commandments and do them, though some of you were cast out to the farthest part of the heavens, yet I will gather them from there, and bring them to the place which I have chosen as a dwelling for My name.’ 10 Now these are Your servants and Your people, whom You have redeemed by Your great power, and by Your strong hand. 11 O Lord, I pray, please let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants who desire to fear Your name; and let Your servant prosper this day, I pray, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man.” For I was the king’s cupbearer. Neh1:4-11
4 And I prayed to the LORD my God, and made confession, and said, “O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments, 5 we have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments. Dan9:4-5
9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Phil2:9-11
12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts4:12
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
