Stand Upon the Rock (by Fenny West)

There is a place

by Him.
Find that PLACE
and see His face
and You’ll obtain

increased grace
For your Race

of Grace.

Then the LORD said, “There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock.

Place of Prevailing Prayer

Then the LORD said, “There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock.

In the Place of Prayer
Many things happen.
Prayer is the key
To unlock difficult doors.

The place of prayer
Is the place to be.
It is a place of power;
A place where you see.

In the place of prayer
Destinies are changed;
And Order is restored.
This is the place you Soar.

In this place you see His face
And obtain new strength and grace;
Where you crawled, you walked,
Where you walked, you ran
Where you ran, you flew
And where you flew, you soared.

In this place God’s voice is heard
And the voice of the Flesh is silenced.
This is a labour room where vision is born;
Where blessings are released;
Where curses are reversed,
Chains are broken and purpose restored.

Moses was here and returned
With the ten commandments.
Hannah was here and her womb was opened.
Esther was here and obtained favour, fervour and freedom from serfdom and annihilation. .
Jesus was here and was fortified for ministry.
Elijah was here he stopped the rain.
He was here again and he opened the heavens.
Elisha was here and raised the dead.
Daniel was here and received revelation and on the Day of Damnation and Disaster, and the lions den, they could not harm him.
David was here and received directions.
Paul and Silas were here and their chains fell off and their prison doors opened and the jailor and his household saved.
The disciples were here and the house shook, Divine Direction given and Peter released, spared execution.
Nehemiah was here and obtained permission, provision and protection.

The Place of Prayer
Is a place of priority,
a place of power
And the place to be.

Luke 18:1
“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;”

1 Thessalonians 5:17
“Pray without ceasing.”

Mark 1:35
“And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.”

Psalms 5:3

Philippians 4:6
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
James 5:17
“Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.”
James 5:18
“And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.”

Esther 4:16
“Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.”

Matthew 17:21
“Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.”
Isaiah 40:31
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

I Am Born of God ( by Fenny West)

I Am Born of God

I Am Born of God
Born of the Word-
The Word of Life
The Word that is life.

I hail from God
And Now in Christ
And Christ is in me
My life is Christ.

We share the same life
He is the Vine
And I am of the branch- the Church
He is the Head
And I am part of His Body.

I am a son of God
With the divine nature
A manifestation of His Word
With a future that is sure and secure.

In Him I Have:

ROYALTY, RIGHTEOUSNESS,rights and privileges,resurrection power

His Word is the Seed

That makes me succeed

When it is decreed

And acted upon.

1 John 3:

1      Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

2      Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

12   But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:John1:12

23   Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

17   Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.1John4:17

5      I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.John15:5

2      Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

3      According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

4      Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

17   Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2Cor5:17

6      I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

11   And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

12   He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

13   These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Supplanted, Not Supplemented (By Fenny West)

Supplanted, Not Supplemented (By Fenny West)

Supplanted, Not Supplemented;
With a New Life, not a New leaf.
New species, New Creature
Not made over, not improved.
The Old has gone and the New has come.

I was alien to God but now a friend of God
I was dead in sin but now alive to righteousness
I was a child of disobedience but now a child of obedience
I was an object of wrath but now an object of love
I was rejected but now accepted in the Beloved.
I was dead and stank like Lazarus but now resurrected with Zoe, the life of God –

the old life supplanted-not supplemented.
I was not just in darkness but darkness itself.
Now I am the Light of the world
A city on a hill that cannot be hidden
Now I am the salt if the earth
I was under a curse but now blessed with the blessing of Abraham,

blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places.
I am blessed to be a blessing, a Solution Centre.
I am healed to bring healing to my world.
I am saved to reach out to reconcile others. I am a man with a mission.

I have a purpose – driven life.

Now I have the life of God
Now I am a New Creation
Now I am a son of God
Now I am a citizen of heaven.
Now I am in this world
But I am not of this world.
When Jesus was crucified
I was crucified with Him
When He was buried
I was buried with Him
When He was raised
I was raised up with Him
And when was enthroned
I was enthroned with Him

I am now sitting with Him
Far above principalities and powers.
Above every throne, above every name.
I am reigning with Him
He is the Head
I am His body
I am His temple
I am His voice
His hands and feet.
I carry divinity in my humanity
I am a peculiar person
of the chosen generation
Of the royal priesthood.
I am born again
Born to reign
Born to praise.
Born to shine
Born to win
Born to bring glory
To the Lord of glory
As He is so am I in this world.

17           Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.2Cor5:17

20   I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

13   These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

17           Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.1John4:17

The Medication of Meditation ( by Fenny West)

The Medication of Meditation

“Make meditation

on the Word of Life-

God’s Pill and medicine-

your medication and

you will have a clean bill of health

with no bill to pay.”

20   My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

21   Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

22   For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

23   Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Psalms 1: Book One: Psalms 1 — 41

1      Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2      But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3      And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.Ps1:1-3

14   Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

15   Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

8      This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

4      Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5      But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Persevere and You Will Win ( by Fenny West)

Persevere and You Will Win

Persevere and You Will Win
Press on and You will succeed.
See the glory ahead and remain steadfast.
See the Victor’s crown on your head.
See yourself singing and dancing, with joy.
See yourself celebrated even by the sceptics,

your detractors; those who disdained you.

Man’s approval is just for a moment.
Man looks at the outward appearance
But God looks beyond the realm of the seen.
He sees the end from the beginning.
He sees the masterpiece, the winner,

the success that He has made you.

Now see through God’s eyes and go for gold.

Go and glorify God with the best you can be.

Doubt your doubts and believe your beliefs.
Refuse any second best in all you do. Victory is yours.

Remember, you are more than a conqueror; you have overcome them.

Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper.

When the enemy comes, like a flood,

the Holy Spirit will raise a standard against him.

Persevere and you will win.

14   Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.2Cor2:14

37   Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

38   For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39   Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

4      Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.1John4:4

4      For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 1John5:4

Hebrews 12:

1      Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

2      Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Anger Will Cost You ( by Fenny West )

Anger Will Cost You

Anger will cost you.
It will imprison you
And throw the key away
It will make you its prey
And make you its slave
It will also rob you
of the peace God gave.

Anger will make you fly
Of the candle,
Change your colour and candour
red or green.
Anger will make you stumble
Blind you and steal your miracle
And put you in a great debacle.

Anger is next door to danger
And it puts “Thee” in front of it.
It blurs your vision
And aborts your mission
Even mortgaging your future.

Anger will make you speak out of turn
And will increasingly make you burn
Until you burn yourself and choke yourself.
Anger is an enemy
Come to steal your victory.
It is a vice not to have in your tool box.

Anger can even cut short your days
Make so mad that you go astray.
With anger, you can hardly pray
And it will surely mess up your day.

“So what do I do?”, you ask.

Forgive and live
Love forgives.
God forgave you
You too can forgive.
Let go to let God
Do what Joseph did.
He forgave those who hated him and his dream.

He provided for them. He cared for them.

He comforted them.

When they plsy lower, you rise higher.
Pray for them, like Jesus did, “Father, forgive them. For they know not what they do.
Pray for them like Stephen,” Lord, lay not this sin to their charge.”

That is the way to go.
That is the way to win
That is the way to overcome, overtake

and brake free to see glory and joy unspeakable and full of glory.

6      Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

27   Neither give place to the devil.

29   Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

30   And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

31   Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

32   And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

10           For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:1Pet3:10

Proverbs 15:

1      A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

9      Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.

60           And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.Acts7:60

34 [a]Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”

Luke 23:34

Joseph Forgives His Brothers

15 Realizing that their father was dead, Joseph’s brothers said, “What if Joseph still bears a grudge against us and pays us back in full for all the wrong that we did to him?” 16 So they approached[a] Joseph, saying, “Your father gave this instruction before he died, 17 ‘Say to Joseph: I beg you, forgive the crime of your brothers and the wrong they did in harming you.’ Now therefore please forgive the crime of the servants of the God of your father.” Joseph wept when they spoke to him. 18 Then his brothers also wept,[b] fell down before him, and said, “We are here as your slaves.” 19 But Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid! Am I in the place of God? 20 Even though you intended to do harm to me, God intended it for good, in order to preserve a numerous people, as he is doing today. 21 So have no fear; I myself will provide for you and your little ones.” In this way he reassured them, speaking kindly to them.

Your Love So Great ( by Fenny West)

Your Love So Great

O Lord, Your love so great

That You emptied Yourself

To give me life and fullness

I’m so grateful, My God

O Lord, You Lit This Fire

To burn, shine bright for You

And as long as You give me breath

I’ll burn and burn for You

O Lord, You live in me

And so do I live in You

Nothing can ever separate us

Your love ever endures

The Blessed Man(2) ( by Fenny West)

The Blessed Man

The blessed man Walks in counsel of the godly, because he knows that those
Who walk with the wise will be wise. He detests anything contrary to God’s Word, God’s truth, God’s counsel. He enamours himself, glues himself to the whole counsel of God unconditionally.
He pulls himself away from anything ungodly, filthy or unfit, so that he can boldly say, “The enemy comes but he has nothing in me.”

He Stands in the way of the righteous,
and not in the way of sinners He stays put in the way of Saints, because God has has rescued him through Christ and given him the robe of righteousness, and his righteousness is of Him. He knows that his own righteousness is like a filthy rag but the righteousness of God makes him whiter than snow.

The blessed man sits in the seat of Saints – not God-mockers because he knows it the fool who says in his heart, ‘There is no God.”

The blessed man’s delight, craving and passion, even obsession, is for the unadulterated Word of life that is Spirit and life,   and able to build him up, establish him and give him an inheritance amongst those who are set apart for God, sanctified for the Master’s use. He meditates on the Word of God day and night as a matter of routine and habit, so that he is motivated, led, provoked to do the Word, work the Word, work out his salvation.

He is like a tree planted by the rivers of water whose roots go down deep for continuous nourishment, hence, without fail he brings forth his  fruits in due season, and whatever he does prospers.
The Book of the Law of love does not cease to flow from the mouth of the righteous and the blessed man; like a river that has burst its bank. He keeps saying it, confessing it, declaring it, proclaiming it as it lights his path, and he keeps on walking, going forward, making progress, from glory to glory and from strength to strength and from faith to faith.

The blessed man so loves the Word of God, even more than his daily bread, like Job. He chews it, digests it and ruminates on it like cows regurgitate food and chew them again and digests and ingests it. Little wonder he grows like a magnificent edifice to the glory of God.
The blessed man is ever planted in the house of God. He is never uprooted, upset, unsettled, hindered or perturbed by winds of adversity, storms or tsunami. He does not know when the heat is on because he dwells in the secret place of the Most high and abides under the shadow of the Almighty.  He goes on steadily, immovable like a rock because his house is built on the Rock-he hears and does. He therefore flourishes in the courts and presence of the Lord. He brings forth abundant fruit, even at old age. In fact he gets better with age like vintage wine. His leaves never wither and he prospers in anything he lays his hand to do.

The blessed man is blessed with every spiritual blessing to bless God and his generation. He is an enigma and a Solution Centre. He sees beauty, glory, inventions where others do not see. He sees through the eyes of God and is given to innovation, creativity and dominion. God gives him perpetual victory because he has the divine nature and knows that all things are his an heir of God and joint-heir with Christ. He knows that those things which were formerly hidden, have now been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit who resides in him. He knows that Christ in him is his hope of glory. He knows that he has out on Christ and remains in Christ and Christ us his life and as He is so is he.
When others are saying, “There is recession, economic downturn, the blessed man is saying,” There is promotion, increased grace and favour, and uplift.” He calls those things which be not as though they are.

The blessed man carries precious seeds and  sows in tears but he doubtless returns, carrying a great harvest. He does not give sparingly but bountifully. And as he gives, it is given back to him, good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over. He is blessed in the city, the countryside, blessed in the east, blessed in the west, blessed in the north and in the south. There is no miscarriage in his home and no infertility.

The blessed man has a song from God in the night which he sings to encourage himself like David. He seeks God’s face and hears expressly from him and goes, pursuing the adversary, overtaking them and recovering all.

The blessed man laughs at adversity and scarcity and infirmity. He knows they came to pass; they came to bring greater glory. He knows he has a God who brings light out of darkness. He knows he cannot be sick because those who are in Zion do not say, “I am sick.” He knows that he was healed and the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead indwells him and vitalises his mortal body.

The blessed man is a man of love who repays evil with good, does not dwell on injustice, is not puffed up, does not rejoice in injustice but rejoices in that which is good. He is not selfish, or self-seeking. He has self – control and is never bitter or resentful. He is never proud or vain glorious. He seeks first the Kingdom if God and his righteousness and every other things are added to him.
The blessed man may be hard-pressed but he is never crushed. He may be perplexed but never in despair. When he is persecuted he knows God is always there and he is not abandoned. When knocked down, he knows he is not knocked out but still in the race and God’s grace is sufficient for him. His afflictions are light and for a moment and works for him a far more weight of eternal glory. He does nit dwell or look at the things which are seen but that which is unseen, knowing that the things which are seen are temporary but that which is not seen is eternal. He bears hardness as a good soldier of Christ. He is never defeated-always wins.

The blessed man does not allow corrupt communication proceed out his mouth. He speaks only that which will build up. He says what he wants to see and not what he is seeing or feeling. He does what he sees God doing.

The blessed man has a renewed mind and thinks like God because he has the mind of Christ. He thinks whatsoever is true, honourable, honest, pure, just, excellent, of good report, lovely and  praise- worthy.

The path of the blessed man shines ever brighter to the full light of day. He is the light of the world and a city on a hill and cannot be hidden. His light so shines that men see his good works and glorify God. All things work together for his good. Nothing separates him from the love of God, be it persecution, distress, famine, nakedness, peril or sword; neither death nor life, nor principalities or powers, angels, things present or things to come, nor heights nor depth. God loves him with a great love like He loves Jesus. He is the apple of God’s eyes, cherished, protected, and celebrated. All things are his. All things are possible to him. God has given him His exceedingly great and precious promises that are yes and amen in Christ Jesus. All things that pertain to life and godliness are his through his knowledge of God. All grace abounds to him in any endeavour and he produces and excels in good works.

December(1-3) ( by Fenny West)

December (1)

Doing wonders unimaginable

Every day and everywhere for those who believe

Commanding and it stands, decrees and it is done

Empowering those who are yielded and trust Him

Moving and dwarfing mountains, drying seas, raising valleys and even the dead to rise

Bringing to fruition the Word gone out of His mouth

Enabling the feeble to, run, the deaf to hear and dumb to speak

Ruling and reigning supreme as the sovereign God
