Lying Vanities are Not Realities ( by Fenny West)

Lying Vanities are Not Realities

Lying vanities are not realities.
They come from the pit of hell.
They are Satan’s impurities-‘sand in your garri.”
They come to cast a spell; curtail, circumvent and curtail and curb your victory.

Lying vanities raise proud arguments against the revealed will of God. They instigate and inspire doubts and unbelief. They are shot as arrows to  sow sorrow and keep you from entering your Promised Land; the best of the land, like Goshen.
They are like a little leaven that leavens the whole lump. They are poisons concocted in Satan’s

6              Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? 1Cor5:6

Soup Kitchen. Run a mile from them.
If you give lying vanities an inch they take a mile. It should not be a question of eating with them with a “long spoon.” Do not eat with them at all. What fellowship has light with darkness.
If you admit lying vanities, your will forsake your mercy. And that is a no-brainer.
Why do you want to do that?
Flee every appearance of the devil.. We are not ignorant of his devices. He has one job description: to kill your vision, steal your joy and your inheritance and destroy your hope, faith, future and life.
Give him no room; no opportunity; no bridgehead; no lee way; no chance, no accommodation. Frustrate him. Suffocate him. Arrest him. Run him out of town. He is masquerading. Remove the front and camouflage. I say unmask him, else he will bewitch you, deceive, capture  and   imprison you.
Lying vanities interpret scripture according to the carnal mind-the five senses.
But you know the carnal mind is enmity to God.

Walk by faith and not by sight and you will not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
The just shall live by faith. Ro1:17, Hab2:4,
Without faith it is impossible to please God. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Faith is the substance of things hoped for; the evidence  of things not seen. Faith without works is dead. Whoever is born of God overcomes this world ;and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even your faith. Have the God-kind of faith.
6 But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way , “Do not say in your heart , ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ” (that is , to bring Christ down from above)
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you , in your mouth and in your heart” (that is , the word of faith which we preach):
2 “Vanity of vanities , ” says the Preacher;  “Vanity of vanities , all is vanity.”
8 They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

Avoid lying vanities.
Hear, Observe and do the Word. The Word of God is the truth and the will of God. Your body can lie to you when it is contrary to the word of God. People can lie to you when they say things they see about you that is contrary to what God’s word says about you. Your bank account can lie to you when it focuses on what you have in your account.
Lying vanities will say you are sick but the truth says
But what does the word and the truth say?

24            And the inhabitant will not say, “I am sick”; The people who dwell in it will be forgiven their iniquity. Isa33:24

By His stripes you were healed. By His stripes I was healed. He sent His word to heal you. ‘He sent His word to heal me.’ Ps107:20
Lying vanity will say you are poor. But what does the Word and the truth say?
9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ , that though He was rich , yet for your sakes He became poor , that you through His poverty might become rich.
Whose report will you believe?
Lying vanities focus on the fact, the temporal, the seen. Faith focuses on Eternal verities-the truth-what God says: “I am Your healer.” I am your provider. All things are yours. You are blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. You are blessed with the blessing of Abraham. You are the seed of Abraham. You are blessed in the city and in the country-side-wherever you go. You are blessed to be a blessing to God, your community and humanity.
So lay lying vanities aside and cling and cleave to the truth.  Say what God said. Cast not away your confidence.
18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
2 looking unto Jesus , the author and finisher of our faith , who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross , despising the shame , and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
8 They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
Jonah 2:8

7     Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.

8     This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Josh1:7-8

3     If the clouds are full of rain, They empty themselves upon the earth; And if a tree falls to the south or the north, In the place where the tree falls, there it shall lie.

4     He who observes the wind will not sow, And he who regards the clouds will not reap.

The ten spies focused on lying vanities: “What they saw, what they heard and what they felt.” And the lost their destinies. They focused on the giants and forfeited the Promised Land.

27   Then they told him, and said: “We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit.

28            Nevertheless the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there.

31   But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.”

32   And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature.

33   There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”

Numbers 14: Israel Refuses to Enter Canaan

1     So all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night.

2     And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, “If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness!

3              Why has the LORD brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?” Num14:1-3

Joshua and Caleb on the other hand, focused on what God said, and they entered the Promised Land-defeating the giants and every obstacle.

30            Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”Num13:30

6     But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had spied out the land, tore their clothes;

7     and they spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying: “The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land.

8     If the LORD delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, ‘a land which flows with milk and honey.’

9     Only do not rebel against the LORD, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the LORD is with us. Do not fear them.”

They kept saying: “For He had said… so that we can boldly say…”

Joshua kept what God had said in his heart and kept encouraging himself with it regarless of the passage of time until it came to pass.

Caleb Inherits Hebron

6     Then the children of Judah came to Joshua in Gilgal. And Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said to him: “You know the word which the LORD said to Moses the man of God concerning you and me in Kadesh Barnea.

7     I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadesh Barnea to spy out the land, and I brought back word to him as it was in my heart.

8     Nevertheless my brethren who went up with me made the heart of the people melt, but I wholly followed the LORD my God.

9     So Moses swore on that day, saying, ‘Surely the land where your foot has trodden shall be your inheritance and your children’s forever, because you have wholly followed the LORD my God.’

10   And now, behold, the LORD has kept me alive, as He said, these forty-five years, ever since the LORD spoke this word to Moses while Israel wandered in the wilderness; and now, here I am this day, eighty-five years old.

11   As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in.

12   Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the LORD spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and that the cities were great and fortified. It may be that the LORD will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as the LORD said.”

13   And Joshua blessed him, and gave Hebron to Caleb the son of Jephunneh as an inheritance.

14   Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite to this day, because he wholly followed the LORD God of Israel. Josh14:6-14

He refused lying vanities and so must you. Be not snared by the words of your mouth. Prov6:2

Speak the word of God to your self: 5     Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him For the help of His countenance. 11     Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God. Ps42:5,11

Ps27:13b I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living.

Ps118:17 17    I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the LORD.

Deut33:25b As your days, so shall your strength be. As my days so shall my strength be.

Deuteronomy 34

7 Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died. His eyes were not dim nor his natural vigor diminished.

So hold on to God’s eternal verities and realities and ditch Satan’s lies and lying vanities.
