Accepted and Blameless
¶ And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled
22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight– Col1:21-22
Long before the foundation of the world, God had me in His mind. I was the object of His love. His plan for me was to be holy, blameless and guiltless, without shame, in love. He predestined me to be in fellowship with Him, and reconciled me to Himself by slaying Jesus, the Son of His love, for me.
How wonderful that His mind was full of me long before I knew it. He made me the object and focus of His love. As high as the heavens are above the earth so great is His love for me. As far as the east is from the west , so far has He removed my transgression from me. He knew me before I knew myself. He made provision for me long before my need arose. He dealt with the question of my sin even before I knew I was a sinner-separated from Him. (Ps103:12-14, Ro5:8, Ps139:17-18)
How beautiful! How wonderful! How glorious!
It was not because of my goodness but because of His mercy and goodness and great love. Whilst I was yet a sinner, Christ died for me. He washed me whiter than snow; made a way for me to dine with Him like Mephibosheth was qualified to sit on the Kings table as one of his sons- all his lameness covered, irrelevant, unable to stop or hinder him. David looked beyond his limitation to the power of the covenant he had with his dad, Jonathan, and that was enough. (Ps.51:7, 2Sam9:1)
Similarly, when God looks at me, He remembers Jesus and the New covenant, established on better promises and I am absolved, accepted in the beloved, chosen in love, granted the life of God and the righteousness of God and peace with God. Heb8:6
There is therefore now, no more condemnation against me; and no alienation from Him because I have accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. He is my sacrifice and my justification. I stand before God, guiltless, without shame, even boldly. (Rom.8:1-2, 1Cor1:30, Ro5:1, Phil 1:6)
I can go into God’s presence anytime and any day because of the precious blood of Jesus that paves the way. For He has sanctified me and made me holy. I am His treasured possession, the apple of His eyes, a royalty, a priest and king to Him; a living stone.(Heb4:16)
I have the life of God-Zoe- in me. Therefore I am a partaker of the divine nature . As He is so am I. I decree and it stands(Job22:28); I command and it comes into being. I am an heir of God and joint- heir with Christ. I am a masterpiece. All the things that belong to Him belong to me (1Cor3:21). I cease to be ordinary because God has added His “extra” to my ordinary. I cease to be natural because He has added His “Super” to my natural. (Rom8:17, 1John4:17, Eph2:10, 2Pet1:3-4)
What a life! I am beyond reproach. Glory be to God.
Father, I thank You for Your great love for me, even whilst I was yet a sinner, You sent the Son of Your love-Jesus- to take my place and die the cruel death on the cross. He paid the price for me. He paid the debt He did not owe. He was brutalised for me. He took the punishment that I deserved. You laid on Him my sins. He was my scape-goat -my sin-bearer, my perfect sacrifice, the Lamb that took away my sin.
Thank You that I am free to come boldly before Your throne of grace as forgiven, beloved and accepted. I am now free to serve You. I am holy, righteous, forgiven, blameless, unreproveable, guiltless, without condemnation, loved with an everlasting love and have received abundance of grace and abundant life. Sin shall have no dominion over me. I have passed from death to life. Heaven is my home. {Jer31:3, Phil1:6, 1Cor1:30, Rom5:17}
Thank You, Father, that because of Jesus, You have blessed me with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places and given me Your exceedingly great and precious promises through my knowledge of You. Thank You for making me like You. I am more than a conqueror and the Greater One dwells in me. In Christ I live, move and gave my being, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. (Eph1:3,1John4:4, 1John5:4, Ro8:11, 2Pet1:3-4)
Glory be to God.
