Seeds Sown Shall Sprout (2)

Seeds Sown Shall Sprout

And this is without a doubt

So sow good seeds on fertile soil

And God would reward your toil.

The seed sown will produce a tree

That tree will bring God glory

And with time it will be a forest

That will withstand every storm and test.

We sow seeds in all we do;

Be it spiritual or practical;

Be it mental or relational;

Financial or emotional,

In teaching or learning.

Sowing and reaping is a law of life

When well-applied will bring abundant life.

A great harvest follows a great sacrifice

Just as a great prize follows a great price.

3     “Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow.4 And it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds of the air came and devoured it.5 Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth.6 But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away.7 And some seed fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop.8 But other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”

It’s a Personal Fight ( By Pastor Chris)

It’s A Personal Fight .

Sunday, September 25th .
Pastor Chris

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses (1 Timothy 6:12).

Observe that the Apostle Paul didn’t say to Timothy, “I’ll fight the good fight of faith for you”; the fight of faith is a personal fight; howbeit, a good one. It’s a good fight because you always win. It’s the only fight God expects us to fight and the weapon you need is the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. You engage in the fight of faith by holding onto God’s Word, maintaining your confessions, in the face of staggering oppositions.

Perhaps, you lost your job and every effort to get a new one has proved abortive; or maybe you’re married and haven’t been able to have children. You may have even been told it’s medically impossible for you to conceive, because the fallopian tubes are damaged; whatever the case may be, refuse to panic or be agitated. Fight the good fight of faith. Against hope, believe in hope that you’re a victor in Christ Jesus, blessed and highly favoured of the Lord.

Don’t succumb to sickness, poverty or defeat. Don’t give in to, or accept anything that’s contrary to your divine heritage in Christ. Be strong in faith; maintain your confessions of the Word. The circumstances of life may not always correspond with what the Word of God says, or the visions God has given you; that’s the time to fight the fight of faith. That’s when to declare, “I’m what God says I am; I have what He says I have; and I can do what He says I can do!”

Consider Jesus; the fact that Lazarus was dead and had been buried for four days didn’t make any difference at all. He called Lazarus out from the grave just as you’d call someone sleeping in a nearby room. It doesn’t matter what you see, hear or feel; it doesn’t matter how negative or impossible things may look in the natural; keep affirming the Word. Remember, this is something you must do for yourself, and by yourself. Depend on the Word as the basis and assurance for all your actions and you’ll always be triumphant.

CONFESSION

I give thanks unto the Father, who has qualified me to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light! I’m walking in the fullness of the blessings of the Gospel, triumphant always and in every place, making manifest the savour of the knowledge and glory of Christ. Hallelujah.

Further Study: || 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding [and] eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen [are] temporal; but the things which are not seen [are] eternal. ||

|| Romans 4:17-21 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, [even] God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. 18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. 19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: 20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. ||

The world belongs to Him
And it belongs to them
Because they belong to Him
And they’re joint-heirs with Him.

They have been given dominion
They have been made champions.
They are no victims but victor.
And they are more than conquerors.

For them sin and have no power
And over principalities they tower
Death has been dealt death
Weakness has been dealt death
Defeat has been dealt death.
Debt has been dealt death.
Poverty has been dealt death
Sickness and disease has been dealt.
Fear and failure have been dealt death.

Life-abundant life is now at work in them.
Victorious living is now at work in them.
Good success is now at work in them.
Divine wisdom is now at work in them.
Anointing that destroys yokes is now at work in them.

They are ruled-not by the world-but by the Word.
They operate by a different set of rules.
They are separated from the world by the Word.
They are His treasured possessions-His jewels.
They reign with Him as kings and priests in this life.
They decree and it stands, command and it comes to be.
They have authority over the power of the enemy.
They have the power of the Spirit.
They demonstrate the power of the Spirit.
The enemy is under their feet;
Because in Him they are complete.

1There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.Ro8:1-2

8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Acts1:8

10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Eph2:10

26   Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Gen1:26-28

The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,17 and if children, then heirs — heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.  Ro8:16-17

Seeds Sown Shall Sprout ( by Fenny West)

Seeds Sown Shall Sprout

When we hear the word: “Seed” most of us immediately think of money, especially in church. We think of sowing seed for God or for the man or woman of God, but we often forget that in all of life we sow; in all we do, we sow. We sow good seeds or bad seeds; we sow on good ground or bad ground; we sow with a good or bad attitude. We sow seeds in many ways: In our service in departments in the house of God, we are sowing seeds. In encouraging others, in writing articles, songs, books, in helping others, in showing kindness, in studying hard in school, in showing respect to elders, we are sowing seeds.  In practising your musical instrument, or at work you sow seeds which could be poor or excellent or mediocre.

Singing, getting up early to read and study and meditate on the word, interceding for others, showing good example to others, cleaning, taking care of your health by sleeping well but not oversleeping, taking exercise, drinking water, taking people out for meal, visiting friends, relatives, respecting the elderly, taking care of them or your parents, visiting the sick in hospital, eating healthily, spending wisely, improving yourself in taking a course that will add to your employability, counselling people well to improve their lives, avoiding bad habits, taking care of your children, making, phone calls to encourage, writing a letter or sending a text to cheer are all seeds you sow.

Type of Harvest So one thing we are sure of is, even as we are sure that we sow in all we do:

 A harvest will come from what we sow. In other words, we will reap what we sow. If we sow banana, we will not reap peanuts but banana. If we sow in a good soil, then our harvest will be a good harvest. But how good the harvest is will again depend on how good the land is.

“Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables?14 The sower sows the word.15 And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts.16 These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness;17 and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately they stumble.18 Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word,19 and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.20 But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”

Mark4:13-20

Therefore we need to be careful as to ensure we plant goods seeds on very good grounds as to expect a great harvest. It is God who gives good seeds to the sower. (Isa55:10 )

10     ” For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,

       And do not return there,

       But water the earth,

       And make it bring forth and bud,

       That it may give seed to the sower

       And bread to the eater,

Isa55:10

Source of Seeds

 Let’s take our seed from His Word. Anything contrary to His Word is a bad seed and comes from the adversary. And we should have nothing to do with sowing bad seeds. The fruit of the spirit are all good seeds. God wants each one of us to produce good fruit and much of it so that He will be glorified. He wants fruit that will remain, endure and even spread. He wants the seeds we sow to become trees of righteousness and for the trees to become forests.

1     “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

5     “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

John15:1-8

22        But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Gal5:222-23

So when you think or hear of a seed next time, don’t be narrow-minded. See the bigger picture and sow a good seed, sow joyfully and bountifully; be a good land, sow with expectancy-great expectancy. You will not be disappointed.

 As we have seen  in the parable of the sower, there are good soils and bad soils in which people sow. In the parable of the sower, the Lord identified four different types of lands we can sow in. There is the wayside, the stony ground, the thorny ground and then the good ground. Even the good ground has different levels of productivity depending on how fertilised it is, hence the harvest may be 30, 60 or 100 fold.( Mark4:13-20 )

Therefore we need to watch out for the land we sow in. We also need to make sure we represent a good soil that others can sow in. For instance if some does not take counsel, that person becomes a bad soil to sow counsel in; whereas the person who readily takes godly counsel will be a good ground to sow counsel in.

Hence we need to be discriminatory as to what seed we sow and where we sow our seed. In regard to the example given about the stubborn person and the seed of counsel, instead of counsel, we can sow prayer to soften their hearts to receive. Also by being patient with them and persevering whilst praying until they become receptive, we are sowing the seed of patience.

So in all we do, we are sowing. The question is: is it a good seed or a bad one? Also in what type of land are we sowing? Is it a good one or a bad one? And if it is good, how good is it. How are we sowing. Our attitude is as important as the seed we sow; and our attitude will determine our altitude. Are we  sowing excellently, bountifully or carelessly, or grudgingly? Are we sowing with faith and expectation or sowing with fear and not expecting?

Seed Time and Harvest Time

After sowing, there is watering and tending the seed we have sown before the harvest comes. Some seeds sprout in no time whilst others take time. For instance if you plant an oak tree, it will take a while to grow and be Again as we sow, whether or not we like it a harvest time will come.

6     Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.

7          Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.  Gal6:6-9

5 Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren to go to you ahead of time, and prepare your generous gift beforehand, which you had previously promised, that it may be ready as a matter of generosity and not as a grudging obligation.

6          But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.2Cor2:5-8

The Harvest will Come.  Are you ready for it?

22     ” While the earth remains,

       Seedtime and harvest,

       Cold and heat,

       Winter and summer,

       And day and night

                Shall not cease.” Gen8:22

A Promise out of Context is a Pretext

Paul, writing to the Philippians, commended them for how they supported his missions and assured them that “ my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory. Often we use this scripture out of context. A Promise taken out of context is a pretext.

12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

14        Nevertheless you have done well that you shared in my distress.15 Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only.16 For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities.17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.18 Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.2

Wait for your Due Season

1     Blessed is the man

     Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,

       Nor stands in the path of sinners,

       Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

2     But his delight is in the law of the LORD,

       And in His law he meditates day and night.

3     He shall be like a tree

       Planted by the rivers of water,

       That brings forth its fruit in its season,

       Whose leaf also shall not wither;

        And whatever he does shall prosper.

Ps1:1-3

Notice that there is a due season for the harvest. Be patient. Be not weary in well doing. Sow good seeds. Sow on good soil. Sow bountifully and joyfully.

They Will Doubtless Return

Those who sow in tears

shall reap in joy.

Those who go out weeping

bearing precious seeds to sow

They will doubtless return

They will doubtless return

They will doubtless return

With joy and with a great harvest.

The rod of the wicked

Shall not rest on the plot of the righteous

The lines have fallen for me

In pleasant places

So I will doubtless return

I will doubtless return

I will doubtless return

with joy and with a great harvest.

Gen8:22 Luke6:38 Phil4:12-19 2Cor8:9

Seeds Sown Shall Sprout

Seeds sown shall sprout

In due season

Seed time and harvest time

Day and night

Summer and winter

Shall not cease.

So sow good seeds

Sow on good ground

Sow cheerfully

Sow bountifully

Sow with a good motive.

Sow and water the seed sown.

Then wait patiently

For a great harvest.

Let us pray

Father I thank you for opening my eyes to many-faceted dimension of sowing. Help me Lord to be conscious in all I do that I am sowing a seed. I pray that I will sow a good seed, sow joyfully, sow bountifully; sow in a good soil, sow expectantly of a great harvest and be patient for my due season to come.

I thank you, Lord for the seed you give me to sow. Help me Lord to know the difference between a seed and a harvest and not to eat my seed, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Build on the Foundation of the Word ( by Fenny West)

Build on the Foundation of the Word

Unless the Lord builds your house

It is like a tottering fence;

Like a house built by a mouse,

Like a city without defence.

Unless you’re standing on the Word,

You’re building castles in the air

And vanity will be your reward

The truth in this matter is crystal clear.

As for me and my household

We will let the Lord build our house

So that we can stand, strong and bold;

When the storm and wind blow on every house.

We choose to build on the foundation of the Word,

Regardless of what the  world says.

We choose to be guided by the counsel of the God

And hold fast to what God commands and says.

Psalm 127:1 Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. Amen

Recall, Recount, Review and Rise ( by Fenny West)

Recall, Recount and Review and Rise

Lamentations 3:21–23 This I recall to my mind; therefore have I hope. It is because of the LORD’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

There was chaos, darkness, destruction, seeming hopelessness, just like it was in the beginning and darkness was upon the face of the deep. But because the Spirit of God was there He made a difference. How? Good question. When the word was spoken, the command and imperative was given: ‘”Let there be light!” and there was light.’

  On this occasion in this scripture, Jeremiah was surrounded by darkness, depression, despair, even desperation. Then he reminded himself of the goodness of God, the grace of God, the compassion of God, the unfailing love of God and his heart warmed up; he was encouraged. Light came. Hope came. Release came. The circumstances may not have changed but there was a different perspective and it made a world of difference.

Similarly, you have to see beyond the outward appearance in your circumstance. See the goodness of God, His mercies in times past. Remind yourself that He has not changed. He remains good in all His ways. His love for you is boundless-as far as the heavens are above the earth, deeper than the deepest ocean, wider than the widest expanse you can imagine. He loves you with an everlasting love-no matter how dark it may seem.

Remember the darkness that pervaded the life of Joseph despite his excellence, integrity and Purity. Joseph remained resolute and the difficulties became stepping stones and ladder for him to climb up to the pinnacle of success. Yes, all things worked together for his good.

So take your eyes off your circumstances and the winds of adversities that blow around you and focus on Jesus-the Author and Finisher of your faith. Remember, when Peter took his eyes off Jesus because of the boisterous wind, he began to sink.

 So my friend, recall God’s power in times past and remain steadfast, immovable, knowing whom you serve and whom you have believed. He never fails.

Recall the testimonies He had given you in times past like David did when he faced Goliath. Review the past mercies and affirm that He remains the same and that He is the Unchanging Changer. His mercies are new every morning and great is His faithfulness. Press on with confidence for the mark of the prize of the high-calling in Christ Jesus and it will not elude you. You will come out with a great substance. You will garner a great harvest to the glory of God. This present darkness is an announcement of your coming glory, just like the lights-out in a theatre that announces the beginning of a movie. Relax and watch what God is about to do in your life. Rejoice and give glory, praise and thanks even before you see. That is an act of faith that will spur you on as you wait.   31 But those who wait on the Lord  Shall renew their strength;  They shall mount up with wings like eagles , They shall run and not be weary , They shall walk and not faint. Isa40

Recall and declare. Review and confess, proclaim, announce, share. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony , and they did not love their lives to the death. Rev12:11 Recall, Recount and Review and Rise

1     “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me,

     Because the LORD has anointed Me

     To preach good tidings to the poor;

     He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,

     To proclaim liberty to the captives,

     And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

2     To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD,

     And the day of vengeance of our God;

     To comfort all who mourn,

3     To console those who mourn in Zion,

     To give them beauty for ashes,

     The oil of joy for mourning,

     The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;

     That they may be called trees of righteousness,

     The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.” Isa61:1-3

There is a new anointing on you. That anointing is for the benefit of others, just like the gift you have is for others. Therefore open yourself to be used of the Lord. Let nothing clog your spirit. Be a vessel meet for the Master’s use. Be willing and obedient and you will maximise your gifting and the anointing and will eat the best of the land.

The anointing in you is strong and multifarious with a cutting edge and suited for your generation. Do not dilute it with the world around you. Rather, use it to transform the world around you. Use it to impact the world around you. Use the anointing in you to break and destroy yokes of bondage and set captives free. Use the anointing to lift burdens. Use the anointing in you to sing, teach, bring prophetic dimension to all you do. The anointing in you is your empowerment and enablement in all you lay your hands and set your mind to do to the glory of God. Nothing shall be impossible for you. Every wall that stands before you shall fall like the walls of Jericho. Every red sea that you face shall be parted for you to walk on dry ground. It shall neutralise any fire in the furnace that you’re thrown into by those who lust after the anointing and are driven with hatred, jealousy and opposition.

Know that every place that every place that the soles of your feet shall tread belongs to you. This means you must take steps of faith and advance and declare territories your own, despite resistance. Call those things which be not as though they were and they shall eventually be made manifest. Do not take ‘No’ for an answer. All things are yours. Greater is He that is you than he that’s in the world. You are more than a conqueror. You are an overcomer. No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper. Every tongue that rise against you ion judgement you shall condemn.

Go for gold. Go for the best of God. Aim to give your very best to He who has called you with a holy calling. He created you fir good works that He had foreordained for you to walk in and maximise. Gather in the harvest and let nothing be missing. A great harvest awaits you. Go for it. Yearn for it as the deer pants after water. Long for it as a dry land is weary for water and you will not be denied. God said I will pour water on him who is thirsty. So do not say I have arrived because of the little you have seen. For eye has not seen, ear has not heard neither has any mind conceived, what God has in store for those who love Him and who desire to serve Him with all their mind , all their strength and their spirit. Empty yourself for Him and He will fill you again and again.

There are many who are poor around you. They are bankrupt in spirit even though they may rich outwardly- in worldly goods. Therefore look beyond their outward appearance and minister to them.  Yes some will reject you or disdain you, but there are those who will accept you and hear the words that I will put I your mouth as you open it.  Even those who reject your word today will hear it from others tomorrow and will accept it them. You may not see them again but one day you’re your paths would cross again and you will see them on fire for Christ. Why? Paul plants and Apolos waters, but it is God who gives the increase. Some of the harvest you do will be plantings and watering of others before you. So plant in faith knowing that what you do is not in vain.

Proclaim liberty to the captives. The prison of the mind and the spirit is more potent and destructive than physical prisons. So preach the good news of salvation, deliverance, healing, joy, peace, freedom, abundant life, sound mind. Break those mental manacles. Tell them,’ The time is now. Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart. This is the day of salvation. This is the acceptable time. Tomorrow is not promised anyone.’

Comfort those who mourn with the joy of the Lord and they shall be strengthened with might in their inner being. Proclaim beauty for them who have ashes. Pour oil of joy over them and array them with the garment of praise in your hands and the well of praise in your mouth. Tell them they too can praise like Paul and Silas who were incarcerated in prison in Philippi and yet could give praise to God with reckless abandon and their chains were snapped

Know that you know that you know that God wants to raise a new generation of trees of righteousness- the planting of the Lord for one cardinal purpose- that He might be glorified. So do all you do to His glory and you will hear Him in the end saying to you,” Well done, thou good and faithful servant…enter the joy of the Lord.”

Father, I thank you for the new anointing in me. It shall know no limits. It shall break barriers. It shall snap bonds. It shall open prison doors. The sick shall be healed. The lame will walk the deaf will hear. The blind will see and the dead shall be raised. Signs and wonders shall follow me.

It is a New Day and a new dispensation in my life. Just as Saul was turned into another man when the Holy Spirit came upon him, so I am turned into another man today. And I thank you for it. I am an unstoppable force from now on, in Jesus’ name.
