Finish well like Jacob

Though he began as a swindler,

He had a heart for God

Held on to His word,

So he ended as winner.

Though forced into foreign land,

Though carried to a Slavery Land,

God was with him in that land

And gave him the best of the land.

The more Laban cheated,

The more he prospered.

Though in marriage short-changed,

Yet remained focused, persevered,

And his fruitful bow appeared.

The more he was afflicted

The more he prospered.

What appeared working against him

Was in fact working for him.

He became a Blessing Carrier

And departed with joy to his forebears.

You can finish well like Jacob

Even if they steal your robe

You have a treasure on the inside;

Hidden riches in secret places;

The abundance of the seas

Christ in you-the hope of glory.

With every spiritual blessing,

You are blessed With heavenly wisdom,

You are blessed with angelic hosts,

You are blessed With the anointing

that destroys yokes,

You are blessed with the word of God,

come to establish you

and give you an inheritance,

You are blessed.

So finish well like Jacob

If God be for you

Who can be against you?

You have Spirit’s advantage

So press on and take courage.

Be bold and be strong.

God will give you a new song

That will right every wrong.

Your legacy shall remain long.
