They wanted another child but this time it was a big challenge. The wife kept miscarrying.
They were advised to go and see their pastor. He spoke words and that was the seal and the deal done. Soon the wife became pregnant and this time it stayed.
However the medical practitioners were not so confident and thought the woman will only deliver by C-section as was the case for their earlier child. The husband stood on the word of God that the deal was done and was not moved by the opinion of the medics.
Their faith was tried when the labour took up to three hours but they remained undaunted and they obtained their prize.
You need to see them in their colours today, giving thanks and dancing for what the Lord has done for them.
Whatever your challenge, He can do it. But you have to take Him at His word and work and walk the word to obtain your promise.
19 ” God is not a man, that He should lie,
Nor a son of man, that He should repent.
Has He said, and will He not do? Num23:19
“With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Matt19:28
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
2Cor4:17-18
9 Shall I bring to the time of birth, and not cause delivery?” says the LORD.
” Shall I who cause delivery shut up the womb?” says your God.
The handwriting was on the wall. The die was cast. Industrial action was sure. Southern railway announced, “There will be severe delays and cancellations tomorrow and the day after.” And to give us a taste, we were asked to vacate the train for some unknown reason because of technical problems. The next train was expected about thirty minutes from then. Many passengers were fuming, especially when they thought of what would happen the following day.
I was calm, more so when I heard a word from within me – “No need to worry, worry is the interest you pay for trouble.” It was comforting and sufficient. And I began to write a poem on that thought:
No Need to Worry (That was how this poem was born)
I decided to start my travel a few minutes earlier than usual. And as I got to the train station, a train was waiting. It was one of the fasted journeys I have had. Moreover, on arrival at my destination, I met a young lady who was going to the same place I was going and she offered me a lift. So I got a ‘chauffer service’ in addition.
Similarly the next day I was able to get in earlier than before and my journey back was quicker than before as they laid on an earlier train and there was no need for me to wait for about thirty minutes to get a train.
The strike worked well for me apparently. God is so good.
There was no need to worry. He made a way, just like He had said.
6 Be anxious for nothing , but in everything by prayer and supplication , with thanksgiving , let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God , which surpasses all understanding , will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Phil4:6-7
28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field , how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field , which today is , and tomorrow is thrown into the oven , will He not much more clothe you , O you of little faith? 31 “Therefore do not worry , saying , ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness , and all these things shall be added to you.
9 For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. 1Cor3:9
“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
