All You Have You Need

And all you need you have

Neglect it not

Thrash it not

Thank God for it

Trade with it

Treasure it

Test it out in small groups

That you may grow thereby.

  1. Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.15 Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.1Tim4:14-15

  1. and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.

Ex4: 1          Then Moses answered and said, “But suppose they will not believe me or listen to my voice; suppose they say, ‘The LORD has not appeared to you.’ “

2     So the LORD said to him, “What is that in your hand?”

     He said, “A rod.”

  1. And He said, “Cast it on the ground.” So he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it.Ex4:1-3
  2.

15   And the LORD said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.16 But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.17 And I indeed will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them. So I will gain honor over Pharaoh and over all his army, his chariots, and his horsemen.18 Then the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gained honor for Myself over Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.”

Ex14:15-18

Col2:10

  1. Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.
  2. But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men. 1Cor14:1,3
  1. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God,6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 2Cor3:5-6
  1. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. 2Cor4:7

  2. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. 1Cor12:7-11

Your Gift Has Come to Lift (By Fenny West)

Your Gift Has Come to Lift

 hs 7 hs 10 hs 11 hs 1

You gift has come to lift

And not to damn or mock

To let it give a lift,

Begin to work with it.

Give thanks for what you have

Begin to hone the gift.

Use what you have to serve

And you will see your lift.

Your gift in jar of clay

Treasure beyond measure.

Enough for any day

You give and you get more.

Begin to fan ablaze

The fire that is you

Use it all of your days

Your gift is not for you.

Wait on the gift and bloom

And men will see your boom.

You’ll grow, glow and blossom

And God will make more you give room.

The more you give the more you get.

So let go of yourself

And don’t allow a let

But just deny yourself.

Be Not Covetous ( by Fenny West)

Be Not Covetous

helper hs 8 hs 9 joseph's coat 4

Be not Covetous

Or jealous

Or envious

All because

What is yours

 Is surely yours.

It will open doors,

And lift you from the floor.

So say too yourself:

What is mine

Is surely mine

Am I’m fine.

It is a gift divine

For wonders and signs.

I thank God for what I am.

I praise God for who I am in Christ

I glorify God for what I Have in Christ.

His grace is sufficient for me

It is good enough for me.

I will acknowledge it

And celebrate it

And give glory to God.

He knows what is best for me.

 I will discover my gifts,

Develop and hone my gifts

And deploy my gifts

To serve my generation

To the glory of God.

So help me, God.

5     Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”6 So we may boldly say:

       ” The LORD is my helper;

       I will not fear.

What can man do to me?”

Heb13:5-6,

14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.15 Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.1Tim4:15-16

5 For neither at any time did we use flattering words, as you know, nor a cloak for covetousness — God is witness 1Thess2:5

  1. Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience,7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. Col3:5-7

  2. 3But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints;4 neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks Eph5:3-4

28   And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers,30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful;32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.Rom1:28-32

14   “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them.15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey.16 Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents.17 And likewise he who had received two gained two more also.18 But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money.19 After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.

20   “So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’21 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’22 He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’23 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

24   “Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed.25 And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’

26   “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed.27 So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest.28 So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.

29        ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. Matt24:14-29

Blessed in his going out and blessed in his coming in.

He is chosen of God; yes, loved with an everlasting love

so far is his transgression from Him.

And as high as the heavens are above the

earth so great is God’s love towards a grace-made man.

Obstacles for miracles

 and trials for triumphs

He sees beyond the seen-

Sees through God’s eyes;

Walks by faith and by sight.

The grace-made man,

That’s me; yes, not by my might,

nor by my power but

by the Spirit of the living God.

I am grace made

I’m Grace sustained

I’m grace kept

Grace propelled

And I am abounding

from glory to glory to the glory

of the most-high God.

10 Today I am who I am because of God’s grace, and I have made sure that the grace He offered me has not been wasted. I have worked harder, longer, and smarter than all the rest; but I realize it is not me—it is God’s grace with me that has made the difference.

The Voice

GRACE: God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense

Grace is no licence for a life of disgrace

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.1Cor1:3

16        And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. John1:16

11        For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, Tit.2:11-12

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.Eph2:8-9

.15 But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many

17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) 20   Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,21 so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Rom5:15,17,21

1     Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Rom5:1-2

.5 Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name, Ro1:5

7     To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints:

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, Ro3:24

4 Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt. 16        Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all Ro4:4,16

14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. Ro6:14

15   What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! Ro6:15

And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.Ro11:6

  1. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith;Ro12:6.10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. 1Cor15:10

  2. Ro16:20,

  3. 20 And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.

9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

2Cor8:9

.8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. 2Cor9:8

9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Giving Glory to God

Giving Glory to God

Comes as we testify

According to the Word

Declaring His work in the dark hour.

Giving glory to God

Comes as we worship

Give thanks and praise

Wherever we have fellowship.

Giving glory to God

Is shown in our offering

Surrendering faith living

And in persevering.

Giving glory to God

Comes in vision fulfilling

In our sharing

And in soul winning.

Giving glory to God

Is in sharing in His suffering

In our overcoming

In our loving.

In our praying without ceasing,

Enduring till the end.

.17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men Col3:17

8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Totally His is Me and Mine

Not by my will but by His choice, divine design

His volition, His election, His decision

Not for what I have done

But because of the Son

My soul He has won, ignited my sun.

Totally His because of purchase- the great cost

Totally His: not by my fight but by His conquest

He disarmed principalities and power at my behest.

He laid a siege on my soul to make me His

He persevered till He pinned His blood-stained flag

Won my heart into His love-filled bag.

He buried my sins so none can fish.

So I will spend and be spent for Him

I will surrender my all to Him

If sickness has come to camp in your body and challenging you, causing pain, weakness, misery, hopelessness, depression, disillusionment, discouragement, despair, even desperation, then rise up and fight and make this your daily confession or diet. Meditate on these scriptures daily , even more than once.  Pray the scriptures back to God. Fast and pray if need be to show you mean business, apart from the health and spiritual benefits of fasting. This is especially essential if sickness has made a bridgehead on your body or become a stronghold, telling you, ‘I belong here. I have been here a long time. This is my home.’  Refuse to budge. Exercise your faith and take God at His word

Eat healthily and do daily exercise. This will help you too. However, bodily exercise whilst good, will not get rid of every disease. You need to redouble your armament against the disease or ailment. Do not give the disease any excuses to stay. You may have been told it is hereditary and for life.  But you do not need to accept that as final. You can break that chain in your family with the word of God. I had asthma and which degenerated to a point where I needed more than one inhaler. I became fed up with it and fought back with the word of God and prayer and I am now free by the grace of God. I don’t use any inhalers again. Praise the Lord. Occasionally I am challenged however but I have had to stand on the word of God and prayer rather than depending on medication. My stance not only brought about my healing but also boosted my faith and has given me a testimony. Trials of life are meant to bring testimonies if we respond to them appropriately.

However, I warn you that this is a fight of faith- a good fight of faith. The more you stand your ground and on the word, the more your faith will be boosted and you will become stronger.

Obviously, I am assuming that you are a believer- born again and filled with the Holy Spirit. If you are not born again, whilst eating well and exercising can go a long way to revive your health and ward off some sicknesses and disease, you cannot depend on this discipline for divine healing. You must be born again, filled with the Holy Spirit and begin to grow your faith in God. Otherwise, you can confess the words till you’re blue in the face, it will not work because you will not be able to believe what you’re confessing.

15   And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

16   But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?

17   Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.

“The wicked” here stands for those who do not believe- not because they have done any thing despicable. The word of God is a covenant- an agreement. And before you can stand on the basis of the covenant you have to be a party to it.

Divine healing is part of the kingdom of God and Jesus said except a man be born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God. Salvation is more than being reconciled to God. It is a package and encompasses deliverance, healing, preservation and provision and health.

Also it is important to know that whereas it is possible to obtain miracles- instantaneous results with no medical explanation- God could intend healing or deliverance for you and this could be gradual- ‘little by little’

22 And the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you little by little; you will be unable to destroy them at once, lest the beasts of the field become too numerous for you.Deut7:22

…they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark16:18b

And so the route of recovery may not appeal to many people in this age of ‘instant this’ and instant that.’

Yes, more often than not we all would all prefer miracles and fuelled by this fast food mentality, but it will not always work. God wants you to grow in our faith. You too should see the necessity of growing our faith. And that takes time and effort and commitment and is it not worth it?

( see other articles , poems , sermons and songs on divine healing, being Born Again, and develop your faith.

We are all challenged in our bodies from time to time but we must not resign ourselves to the ravages of disease and sickness by making excuses for them to camp in us and make us miserable and ineffective and in desperation. We need to break free from their stranglehold and captivity in the name of Jesus and by the power of the Spirit.

Fight the good fight of faith. God is for you and not against you. See our body as the temple of God- divine territory. See sickness as a foreign body, a trespasser, an encroacher that has to be given its marching orders. Fight the good fight of faith with God’s word –the sword of the spirit. It is dynamic, living, active, razor-sharp, and with the ability to pierce your whole being- spirit soul and body-all your cells, muscles, ligaments and system.

Address your areas of concern specifically. If they have given it a name, know that the name of Jesus is more potent and powerful to expel it or subdue it. Exercise our dominion over that sickness or condition, in Jesus’ name. Flush any disease or impurities out of the temple of God!

God is a covenant-keeping God and delights in his child coming to Him in prayer on the basis of covenant and the finished work on Calvary’s cross. You need to know, that you know, that you know, that Jesus did not only die to save us from our sins and reconcile us to God, He also took our sicknesses and pain. By His stripes we were healed. The New Covenant thus avails and prevails and assails when you stand on it after being born again. It is a covenant established on better promises. But you have to know these promises by heart and apply them consistently without wavering, regardless of how you feel. We need to pray without ceasing. We need to walk by faith and not by sight. We also need to praise and worship and give thanks before we see the results (Phil4:6-7 1Thess5:17, Job2:

18   While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house,19 and suddenly a great wind came from across the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell on the young people, and they are dead; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

20   Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped.21 And he said:

” Naked I came from my mother’s womb,

And naked shall I return there.

       The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away;

Blessed be the name of the LORD.”

22        In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong. Job1:18-22

7     So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD, and struck Job with painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head.8 And he took for himself a potsherd with which to scrape himself while he sat in the midst of the ashes.

9     Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!”

10   But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

Job2:7-10

So gradual recovery route may be what God intends for you because it is best for you. You have to accept it but this is different from giving excuses for the disease to stay. Building up your faith is essential for other issues that you will face in life and God wants us to be strong in Him and in His mighty power. He wants us to walk by faith and not by sight. He wants our sufficiency to be of Him and not of ourselves. The faith-life you build through your challenges will last you a life time.  However by just resigning yourself to the sickness and moaning and complaining will not build your faith. You will be suffering for no just cause. But when you take God at His word, with a bull-dog tenacity and fight, you will eventually obtain the victory and your faith boosted in the process. And you too can help others break free.

God says:

20     My son, give attention to my words;

Incline your ear to my sayings.

21     Do not let them depart from your eyes;

       Keep them in the midst of your heart;

22     For they are life to those who find them,

And health to all their flesh.

23     Keep your heart with all diligence,

For out of it spring the issues of life.

Prov4:20-22

26 and said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.”

Ex15:26

4       Surely He has borne our griefs

       And carried our sorrows;

       Yet we esteemed Him stricken,

       Smitten by God, and afflicted.

5       But He was wounded for our transgressions,

       He was bruised for our iniquities;

The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,

And by His stripes we are healed.Isa53:4-5, ( 1Pet2:24) Matt8:16

The Sun of Righteousness shall arise

                With healing in His wings;Mal4:2

     Who heals all your diseases,

5     Who satisfies your mouth with good things,

So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.Ps103:3
