He Rose Up!

Jesus Christ, the Son of God

(He rose up, He rose up)

He rose up, just like He said

(He rose up, He rose up)

The cross could not hold Him

Grave could not stop Him

( He rose up, He rose up)

Principalities and powers could not hold Him

( He rose up, He rose up )

If you believe in the Son of God

(You’ll rise up, You’ll rise up)

The storm cannot stop you

Wind cannot hold you

(You’ll rise up, you’ll rise up)

Jesus went to the tomb of Lazarus, now dead for four days and stank.

He told them to roll away the stone

and hollered: ‘Lazarus, come out!

and Lazarus came out, still bound in grave clothes.

Jesus further commanded: ‘Loose him and let him go!’ He was let loose, totally freed

That is your portion- total freedom, in Jesus’ mighty and matchless Name.

(He rose up, He rose up)

Mary, after Jesus had died, (on the third day) went to His tomb to discover an empty tomb.

She saw an angel there and asked:

‘Where have you laid my Lord?  Please show His body to me and I will take it.’

He told her, ‘Look not for the living among the dead. He is risen, just like He said. ‘

’Repeat the song

‘Weeping may endure for the night but joy is coming in the morning.’

‘The righteous may fall seven times but he rises again.’

Jesus said, ‘I am the Bread of Life

He who comes to me shall not hunger

He who believes in Me shall not thirst.’

‘I am the Resurrection of Life.  He who believes in Me, even though he dies, he shall live again.

I will raise him up on the last day.

Where, O death is your victory? Where, O grave, is your victory?

Death has been swallowed up in victory.’

Jesus has delivered us from the power of sin and from the penalty of sin and one day will deliver us from the presence of sin. Why?

Because He rose up!
