He Does Not Lead to a Dead End

God led Paul to Philippi;

There he was thrashed

Battered and bruised

Put in a straight jacket

Hands and feet in chains.

But at midnight

God gave a song

He sang prayed

With Silas his friend

and out loud too.

God  had a good plan

That would come

Through hardship

But in the end

They saw souls saved

Hell was plundered

And heaven populated

To the glory of God.

God’s ways are not ours

His thoughts far from ours

So let Him have His way

It is surely the best  way.

That will bring His peace.

His blessing

Your fulfilment

His glory

His joy

His light.

Joseph was sold into slavery

Ended up as a servant

But he maintained integrity

Espoused purity

Even when pushed to the wall

Joseph was maligned

And vilified

But he trusted God

And in the fullness of time

God made him a Prime Minister.

From prison he entered the palace

All because of God’s grace

The favour of God

That makes  rich

In spite of ashes.

Joseph was sent ahead

Because of the famine

That was coming

And he saved many

To God’s glory.

That God remains the same

Where He would lead

No one knows

How he would lead

No one knows.

But  He does not lead

To a dead end.

The Way May Be Rough…

Look for Opportunities

In your difficulties

Look for opportunities.

In your delays

Hear what He says.

The way may be rough

And the times, tough

Yet God is in charge

And will your spirit charge

He has a purpose

Even when you’re opposed

It is good grand and proper

To enable you to prosper.

You will see souls saved

Be not dismayed or afraid,

Only walk by faith,  believe

And you will surely receive.

Who Shall Save Us?

Who shall save us

 From this menace

Of horrible hunters?

Snap their arrows

Stop our sorrows

Come and save us

From our cross.

Who shall save us

From this furnace

Of horrible hunters?

Break off the chain

End the strain train

Come and save us

From wicked force.

Who can turn on

Light of freedom

And dispel this darkness?

Stop the lament

That is hell-sent

End the anguish

And our moan.

Who shall turn on

 Song of victory

 To end this sad song

Let freedom come

To our Kingdom

Let Jubilee

Come and free.

Who can save us

 From this nightmare

Of horrible hunters

Come to destroy

Stifle our joy

Make us mourn

And not see the sun.

Only Jesus Can!

When God Starts Blessing

When God starts blessing

The foe starts messing

Using detention

For attention

But the name of Jesus

Must remain in force

His name will be proclaimed

Without let or shame.

No other name

Remains ever the same

So wonderful

So powerful

So authoritative

So creative

So compelling

So telling!

Acts 4

Peter and John Arrested

1 Now as they spoke to the people, the priests, the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees came upon them, 2 being greatly disturbed that they taught the people and preached in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. 3 And they laid hands on them, and put them in custody until the next day, for it was already evening. 4 However, many of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.

Addressing the Sanhedrin

5 And it came to pass, on the next day, that their rulers, elders, and scribes, 6 as well as Annas the high priest, Caiaphas, John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the family of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem. 7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, “By what power or by what name have you done this?”
8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: 9 If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, 10 let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. 11 This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’[a] 12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”Acts4:1-12

The Man of God and the Word of God(Epic/didactic/free verse)

The man of God

 must be married

to and adorned

with the Word.

It brings:

 Inspiration, correction

Salvation, illumination,

Rejuvenation, sanctification

Creation, recreation

Promotion, instruction,

Reproduction, multiplication.

The man of God

must love, larch onto

listen  to, live by

the Word of God.

Furnishes, replenishes

Cleanses, counsels

Comforts, completes

Brings brightness,

Boldness, righteousness

Gentleness, goodness.

The man of God

Must find God’s Word

A treasure beyond measure

Sweeter than honey.

Unburdens, uncovers

Covers, disease deters

Preserves, empowers

Revives, retunes

Repairs, restores

Rekindles, rewards.

The woman of God

Must warm up to

Wise-up to

 the Word of God.

Opens prison doors

Severs from sin-bin

Lifts from the floor

Enables you to win.

Searches for jewels

Sweetens the saint

Saves from hell

Keeps from being faint.

The woman of God

Will be wedded

Even welded

To the Word of God.

Seasons like salt

Makes you shine

Shows you your fault

Makes you fine.

Give you a great start

Mends your heart

Makes you smart

And after God’s heart.

The man of God

Must adore God’s Word

Be bound to the word

See it as the Spirit’s Sword.

Warns and warms, when cold

Makes you very bold

Your soul molds

Enables you break the mould.

Makes you strong

Gives you a song

That is long

All night long.

The Man of God

Must have a mind full

Of the dynamic Word

So anointed, so beautiful.

It is spirit and life

Truthful, powerful

Pure, sure, more

Than you think

Glorious,  bounteous

Heals, seals, thrills

Fills, so wonderful.

Making one whole

It is God’s megaphone

His voice for His choice

His Broadcast channel

Divine dainty

Sumptuous sup

Heavenly delicatessen

God’s  fragrance

Bringing endurance

Removing encumbrance;

Bringing excellence;

Bringing freedom

From serfdom

Bondage, rage and carnage.

To get the most of the Word

You must see it as lush

Love it, crave for, pant for it

Obey it, do it, apply it like

Medication to your wound

Pray it, eat it, build with it

Fight with it, search with it

Use it as soap to wash your soul;

See it as your  mirror

Recharge your battery with it

Meditate on it daily, dutifully

Diligently  and cheerfully,

The Name of Jesus is Above All!

Philippians 2:5-11

New King James Version (NKJV)

The Humbled and Exalted Christ

5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Acts3:1-8, Phil2:5-11, John14:13-14,Acts4:7,10,12,17-18,29-30, Ps2:8

There’s power to soar in that Name

Authority in that Name

Victory in that Name

There is deliverance

and removal of encumbrance

 in that Name.

Freedom from serfdom come from that Name.

The breaking of bondage comes from that Name

That name shatters any demonic cage and fetters

There is boldness and confidence in Jesus’ Name

And an end to barrenness, blindness,  wickedness.

There is resurrection and rejuvenation in the name of Jesus.

Revelation and promotion come in His matchless Name .

Healing and filling, provision and creation come in His Name.

That name is irresistible, incredible

It rattles the cage of the enemy

It prevails and assails against all odds

It persists and insists on the Kingdom of God;

The reign of God and the rule of the Word of God.

It is a wonder- working Name

A breath of fresh air!

That Name ushers Heaven on the earth

Triggers light in darkness

Sight in blindness

Strength  in weakness

Aroma in a stench

Beauty in ashes

Joy in place of mourning.

The Name of Jesus births fruitfulness in barrenness

Turns a desert into an oasis; evergreen forest.

His Name transforms and transcends all understanding

Brings peace profound in crisis

Raises shattered and dead dreams

Commands calm in a storm

It resound in heaven, on earth

and underneath the earth

O how sweet the sound of that Name!

It even raises the dead

Will raise any head

That is bowed down

Remove the furrows from frowns;

Open any prison door

Announcing year of Jubilee

Setting the prisoner free.

There is no other name like that Name

It is the sweetest name of all

Sweeter than the honey in the honey comb.

It is wonderful

The greatest name

The most illustrious Name

Glorious, victorious

Gracious, precious

Priceless, timeless

Beautiful, bountiful

Boundless, selfless

His Name is preeminent

Magnificent, immanent

And simply resplendent!

The Name of Jesus is above all!

The name of Jesus was a threat to the Pharisees and Sadducees, so much so that they contrived many intrigues to silence that name.  They commanded the disciples not to preach or teach in that Name. But the disciples were undaunted, adamant, healing people in the Name and proclaiming it without shame.

God wrought incredible signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus.  And that Name remains as powerful today. So if you are a believer, don’t be shy or ashamed of that Name. Use it as your rod , your authority, wherever you go. Seas will be parted, barriers will be broken. You will be opposed but God will work wonders in that Name and He will be glorified.[/size]

Mark 16:16-18

New King James Version (NKJV)

16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they[a] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
