Word for the Senior Citizen

Word for the Senior Citizen

Those retired but not tired

Like wine, this is your season

Why do you want to run and hide?

Vintage wine shall not waste

You will not be filed away

You shall ooze divine taste

Come and grace we pray!

Let none discard or sideline

Let none disdain or trample

Those long-lived in the Vine

With counsel rich and ample.

You have a great contribution-

An addition and multiplication

To bring to the table of neighbourhood

So rise and come out of the woods!

Let your age and experience speak

Do not throw in the towel and leave

Come counsel the young and weak

 You’re a mine with a lot to give.

Let your silver hair speak wisdom

And your gentle hands steady the boat

Come and usher God’s Kingdom;

Turn into a sheep, the greedy goat.

Psalm 92:12-14

New King James Version (NKJV)
 12 The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree,
         He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
 13 Those who are planted in the house of the LORD
         Shall flourish in the courts of our God.
 14 They shall still bear fruit in old age;
         They shall be fresh and flourishing,

Rescued from the Domain of Darkness

Rescued from the domain of darkness

Translated into the kingdom of brightness

Conveyed from damnation, destruction

Delivered into the realm of New Creation

 In the world but not of the world

Just a visitor, traveller in this world

Just an actor on this present passing stage

An ambassador, Heaven’s citizen in this age.

What a wonderful work he’s done

The price fully paid, victory won

 O how good great, glorious

How enduring, unspeakable, marvellous

Marred by sin, cleansed by the blood

Was groping in the dark, now given abundant hope

Thank God for Hs powerful word

Dynamic, precious word from the God of Hope

I have a new location a new address,

 A new post code: Colossians 1:13!

No need to be ashamed, so I confess,

Thank God for 2 Corinthians5:17!

Colossians 1:13-14

New Living Translation (NLT)

13 For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, 14 who purchased our freedomand forgave our sins.2 Corinthians 5:17-20

New Living Translation (NLT)

17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

18 And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. 19 For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. 20 So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”

Pursue Purpose with Passion

Pursue Purpose with Passion,

Being wise with spiritual wisdom.

Live in the light with His unction;

Advancing, spreading His Kingdom.

Live with eternity in mind,

Knowing the reason for your being,

Constantly renewing your mind;

Giving thanks to God for all things.

Endure trials, sufferings, hardships;

Use them top step up the ladder.

Cherish well your fellowship.

Hold on to the Alpha and Omega.

Strive to know Him better and better

Letting your love grow deeper and deeper

Give yourself to enrich others

And your joy will abound become fuller.

Know, you have been rescued redeemed

Brought into God’s marvellous light;

Bought with the precious blood, ransomed

Belonging to the Day and not the night.

Colossians 1:9

New King James Version (NKJV)

Preeminence of Christ

9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

New Living Translation (NLT)Colossians 1:9-10

New Living Translation (NLT)

 9 So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. 10 Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.
